The best campus in Chennai, coupled with the best faculty members and amenities.
Placements: There were a lot of companies that came for placements, especially, the companies like RRD and Accenture and a few laboratories. The salaries offered were between Rs. 10,000-15,000. Internships were sought for and not given. There is a dedicated placement cell which posts various offers and campus interview dates on Facebook and college notice boards.
Infrastructure: MCC is known for its beauty in the wilderness. Coming from a science major, the labs were equipped with top-end instruments and gadgets and high-end microscopes. The classes had projectors. There are three boys and three girls hostels or rather called halls which the students take great pride to be part of. The college provides free Wi-Fi. The quality of the canteens is not that great but does have a friendly atmosphere. MCC also excels at sports. A football and athletic field, volleyball, basketball, etc. are also available.
Faculty: The teachers in the department of microbiology were one of the best during my tenure. They were all highly qualified with almost everyone having a doctorate. They were friendly, helpful and definitely like a parent away from home. We had various industrial visits in our final year, visiting Aavin, Caplin Pharmaceuticals, etc. The course is made in such a way that it stays up to date with today's scenario.
