Everyone wants to get admission in MCC because of its surroundings.
Placements: Almost 15% of our college students from evening stream of microbiology branch got placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 50,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 13,000 to 15,000 per month. NABL, Pfizer and many drug manufacturing companies are the top recruiters of our college. The senior lab technician is the highest post offered to an undergraduate microbiologist. About 20% of the students get the opportunity to attend an internship.
Infrastructure: Our library provides books for every department separately, and every department has its own library. Classrooms can give more comfort than air-conditioned classrooms, and our lab has adequate equipment. MCC is famous for its sports and cultural events. Our canteen is the best and serves reasonable food, and our college's new build canteen is maintaining the quality.
Faculty: Every faculty members of our college have cleared governments exams, but I never felt such caring professors. Most of our seniors have got patent rights for their inventions. Our professors and our college gave us training not only for curriculum-related but also personality development. It is the best college even for an introvert to show off their talents and get skilled.

The best campus in Chennai, coupled with the best faculty members and amenities.
Placements: There were a lot of companies that came for placements, especially, the companies like RRD and Accenture and a few laboratories. The salaries offered were between Rs. 10,000-15,000. Internships were sought for and not given. There is a dedicated placement cell which posts various offers and campus interview dates on Facebook and college notice boards.
Infrastructure: MCC is known for its beauty in the wilderness. Coming from a science major, the labs were equipped with top-end instruments and gadgets and high-end microscopes. The classes had projectors. There are three boys and three girls hostels or rather called halls which the students take great pride to be part of. The college provides free Wi-Fi. The quality of the canteens is not that great but does have a friendly atmosphere. MCC also excels at sports. A football and athletic field, volleyball, basketball, etc. are also available.
Faculty: The teachers in the department of microbiology were one of the best during my tenure. They were all highly qualified with almost everyone having a doctorate. They were friendly, helpful and definitely like a parent away from home. We had various industrial visits in our final year, visiting Aavin, Caplin Pharmaceuticals, etc. The course is made in such a way that it stays up to date with today's scenario.

Other: This is one college with a lot of liberty, no pressure and the best academics. It gives great exposure to the students. Well known for its cultural activities, it is one of the oldest colleges that still follows its tradition and culture. It has a great flora and fauna. A lot of placements and campus interviews are conducted, especially for the arts courses (BBA and B.Com). It is the 7th best college in India for commerce. Laboratory facilities for science stream are satisfactory. Visual communication and social work streams have a lot of field work and exposure. Industrial visits for all courses are also present.
