Miranda House: A Second Home.
Placements: My course is of non-placement background, so I don't have information about this, but the Science department at Miranda is very good, and I have heard of many placements in it. Like in the Economics department, many companies came, and students do get placement offers.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the college and in good condition. The labs are excellent, classrooms are big, and the library, although not that fascinating, is also good. The hostel at Miranda is the best; though I'm not residing there, I have heard about it from the hostellers.
Faculty: Professors are qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable without a single doubt. The course curriculum is NEP and is followed really well in Miranda. Semester exams are good, with good management. In my course, or overall in DU, the pass percentage is 3-4 SGPA, as far as I know.

Good for liberal arts students.
Placements: I think most of the students from economics, math, etc. get placed. However, for those from liberal arts and sciences, getting placements is a bit difficult. Being a part of the placement cell, I know that they work really hard to help us land internships and placements, but that's just how the market works. Nevertheless, the highest package in the 2024 session was 19 LPA, and it was a political science honors student that got the placement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and the library is also really good, but the books that we really need are many times not available because someone has already taken them. Still, it's better than many other colleges. They've also installed ACs in the auditorium and 2nd floor classrooms now. Medical facilities are just basic paracetamol and band-aid stuff. Other than that, the hostel facility is also good, keeping in mind the fees. The food is just fine, and there are no ACs or coolers allowed in the hostel.
Faculty: The curriculum has changed a lot because of NEP. We have to spend 4 hours for sec, vac uselessly while there are constant deductions from the syllabus of our core subjects. The sec, vac teachers literally don't teach anything useful, and there's nothing good to be taught in them either. The exams are fine; look at the PYQs and prepare questions accordingly. Faculty is, I guess, good when it comes to history. I honestly like professors who are serious about what they're teaching rather than those who come to classes just for the sake of it. But my experience with political science faculty (which is my GE) has not been that good.

Amazing crowd and a vast array of opportunities.
Placements: As a Humanities course, there are no to very low placements in History Hons. The placement record for other market-related courses is very high though. You can get higher study options for abroad instead. Students getting internships were getting as museum curators or in other fields.
Infrastructure: Facilities: The campus infra is great as a government college. Wi-Fi is there but it works only at a few places. There are two Digital Resource Centers for students to access computers. The library has a large number of books from various subjects, a system to access audiobooks and find books in the library, and enough study space for students. Classrooms are not air-conditioned. There are four canteens in the college with quality food at affordable prices. The college has hostel facilities, but it's not for everyone as the seats are limited, so it is given only on marks basis. Reserved seats are also in the allotment of the hostel. The sports facilities are really great, and all major sports are there to practice with coaches.
Faculty: The faculty is really helpful and well-behaved. Only half of them are Ph.D. and others are assistant professors. Some of them are also doing research work. Most of them are good at teaching and assessment. The course curriculum with optional subjects is better than other universities in India. It is however not related to the job opportunities in the subjects. The semester exams are relatively easier, and most of the students manage to get good CGPA in exams.
Other: Bachelors in History Hons. is a great course for me as it was in the subject I loved to study. This course prepares me for research in the future and also for the UPSC Civil Services examination if I choose this as my optional subject in the exam. It can be better if they link it with job opportunities in History itself and also make the curriculum related to the competitive exams in India, as most of the students go for it after graduation. There are a lot of events and small fests going on in the college throughout the year. There are loads of opportunities for all. In the fest season of February and March, a lot of college and society fests take place with a large footfall. The campus crowd is diverse and extremely amazing though. Scholarship opportunities are a few, but if you really research thoroughly, you can find some good ones.

A college which will give you a feeling like home.
Placements: There are 80 students in my course and mostly they want to get placement. All students are ambitious to get new opportunities and become independent. They want roles for them such as managers, creativity director, graphic manager etc. Students want learn new things.
Infrastructure: The college classrooms and campus are well infrastructure and provide all facilities which students required. Campus have all places Wi-Fi facility and classrooms are very spacious and airy. There is a big library which provide all syllabus books. Hostel is very well.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive and helpful. They all are well qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers are trying their best to solve the problems of students. The curriculum is very relevant and make students knowledge qualitative. The exams are quite moderate. Pass percentage is 33 %. .
Other: History attracts me from 11 th class when I chose humanities over Science and commerce stream. The teachers are very good in my school. They helped me alot to increase my interest in the history. I want to decrease assignment burden. Every year fest, events held alot.

Miranda house is absolutely the best college in India with NIRF ranking 1 for the past 5 years.
Placements: Around 65% of students were placed. Of course one cannot expect placements like engineering courses in history but better than other colleges. Students got admissions for post-graduation to the university of Toronto, Harvard, Oxford, and Teesside. This syllabus is much relevant for CSE courses as well.
Infrastructure: Miranda House is famous across the country not only for its red brick walls but also for its excellence in academics and extracurricular activities. It has the best infrastructure one could ever ask for including the hostel as well which stands to be number one in the country. The entire campus and the hostel have well-connected Wi-Fi with a study room within the hostel premises. Classrooms and labs are well-equipped. Around 24/7 medical facilities are available both in the hostel and on campus. The famous Pam's Cafe is within the campus as well including a Nescafe Counter for coffee lovers. There is a canteen with quality food as well.
Faculty: The history department is one of the best in Miranda. The faculty members are the most excellent one could ever have. From providing elaborate explanations for individual topics, and leading heritage walk to solving inquiries at a personal level the professors are always there. They even provide things out of the box to prepare the students for getting jobs as well as to help in further studies. The course curriculum is also relevant for civil services examination. The semester examinations are moderate with often twisted questions to judge the depth of understanding of topics among the students.
Other: History is often regarded as a subject that is boring and requires much-memorizing capacity. This myth is broken once you get admitted to Miranda. On the very first day, you would be told to unlearn everything that you have learned previously and gather pieces of wisdom to build your own house of understanding with a strong base. Apart from books, the professors here take history to visual levels where you can not only learn history but also see it with your eyes.
