Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

A delightful engineering college!
Placements: The placements scenario is just fine in our college. The average package offered is around 3.5 LPA, and we have recruiters like TCS, Ninja, Thermax, Infosys, etc. Maximum opportunities available are for the EnTC department right now. You can definitely earn good by developing more skills through off-campus.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are good enough and properly ventilated. Many of them have smart boards now. The library also has a good collection of books, and you'll get whatever you want. The reading room area is fine for studying but is a bit noisy. The hostels are okayish from what I heard (I'm a day scholar). But the Wi-Fi is just bad, and the connectivity is also bad in the college.
Faculty: The teachers in this college are really good. Many of the faculty members in other engineering colleges don't even bother to teach, while in Wadia COE the professors do take care that students study well for the exams. Just that the curriculum of SPPU is a bit outdated with respect to current standards.
Other: The college is really a friendly place, and it also has the Jhankaar event, which is also nice. Webinars are also conducted timely for all-round development.

Our college is very good with neat campus.
Placements: There are 34 students in the mechanical branch. The lowest salary package was 4 LPA and the highest salary package offered was 16 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata consultancy services, Tata motors, etc. Students got internships.
Infrastructure: It is a very nice campus with very good infrastructure. There are Wi-Fi portals, very clean labs, and very neat classrooms. Library is excellent. Hostel is near to the college and is very neat. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is excellent. Medical facilities are good and the scope of sports is very nice.
Faculty: All the teachers are good, qualified, very helpful, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is very relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are perfect as it gives all the knowledge needed. The pass percentage is 80 to 90%.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because I like vehicles very much. The best thing about this course is we learn more about mechanical things. There should be more practical knowledge.

Students should know their rights and the college should inform them!
Placements: I am currently studying in the 2nd year of Mechanical Engineering. The placements percentage of Mechanical Engineering in my college is about 90 to 95%. Companies come with a criteria, and if a student is suitable for that criteria, he/she can get placed. The highest package offered was for 42 LPA and it was bagged for 37 LPA by a mechanical engineer, the lowest package is the average package of the college which is about 2LPA to 2.5LPA. Amazon, TATA, Wipro, and TCS are the top recruiting companies in Pune which also recruit for my course. My college offers internships at TATA, ENV, etc. If a student has cleared all his subjects without any backlogs, he/she can get a chance of internship. 55-60% students get a chance to get into internships.
Infrastructure: The course offers number of books which are available in the library. The library does not have any book which are not related to any other course in the college. The college supports WiFi but most of the time, it does not work. There are various types of machine labs related to my course which help the students to see and do things practically. The classrooms now are updated with smart TVs for the students to understand better. I would rate the hostel facilities 4/10 and the quality of the food provided there. Sports quota plays an important role here.
Faculty: The amount of knowledge the teachers hold is great, but they does not teach or are not able to teach the way they should. The course curriculum just makes the students theoretically industry ready, but the reality is that 50% of the students are not really ready with what the industries need. The semester exams should be more difficult for our country to get useful engineers. The passing percentage is about 70%.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to see and learn the mechanical industry closely. Mechanical Engineering is just like a real life video game, it helps us understand how things works practically. The main thing I would like to change about the course is the type of teaching the students are offered, rather than teaching theoretically, they should teach more practically. The name of the fest held every year in the month of February is 'JHANKAAR'. The college gives and supports a lot of scholarships which helps the students with lower financial backgrounds.

It is one of the best colleges in Pune for engineering with best teaching.
Placements: More than 80% of students got placed on-campus placement process. The highest salary package offered this year is 13 LPA. Many students have got internships in Tata Motors, Wipro, and many more. Many roles are offered in the mechanical branch like machine designer and many more.
Infrastructure: Our college has good infrastructure and many facilities are available. Mechanical department has the best workshop with various machinery. CAD and PG labs are the best. Updated PCs are used for Autocad practice. Canteen food is too good. The canteen is clean and hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful. They are always ready to clear our doubts. Teachers have a lot of teaching experience. Through teaching, students get a good knowledge about industry work and experience. After every unit completion, a test is taken which helps students understand the unit very perfectly. Due to this, it becomes easy to clear semester exams.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering as I was interested in machines and cars. In mechanical engineering, lots of practical knowledge is gained. The course is the best and no improvement is needed. The college has a vast campus. Technical fests are conducted. There is a big sports ground and every sports equipment is available.

Modern Education Society's College of Engineering is good.
Placements: College offers great placements throughout the year and supports and guides students to get the best placement. Almost all students have been placed this year with packages ranging from 3 LPA to 12 LPA. College faculty members also help if we are applying for off-campus drives.
Infrastructure: I loved the infrastructure of this college, it has well-equipped labs with the latest technologies and instruments. College provided high-speed Wi-Fi for students. There is a massive workshop for mechanical engineering students where students have built great cars for BAJA.
Faculty: Teachers are the best, they supported and helped me with every little thing in the college related to projects, research work, and placements. Many students have published research papers in reputed journals and conferences under the guidance of teachers.
