NIFT Mumbai Cutoff 2024 was released for different categories under the All India quota. At 400 rank, it is possible to get admission into a few courses for candidates belonging to any category. The total tuition fee for NIFT Mumbai BDes is INR 11.7 Lacs divided among eight semesters. Apart from the tuition fee the NIFT Mumbai also charges the following:

The candidate has to select their admission category at the time of filling out the NIFT 2024 application form. The candidate must make sure that they have the requisite valid and verificable certificate supporting their category.

Note that the category selected by a candidate at the time of submitting the application form will be considered as final.

If a candidate selects a reserved category i.e. SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PWD but fails to submitted a valid Category Certificate, he or she will be considered for open category seats provided any benefit of relaxed age or income or cut offs has not been availed by the candidate at any stage of the Admission Process. If any benefit has been availed, the candidate’s application will be rejected. 

Also, if a reserve category candidate is considered for open category, then he/she will have to pay the difference in amount of application fee as applicable for open category.

The cutoff for National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Mumbai, is determined by various factors. The difficulty level of the exam, the seat matrix for BDes and B.F.Tech in each NIFT campus, the total number of candidates appearing for the NIFT entrance exam, the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam, and previous years’ cutoff trends are some of the factors that are taken into consideration while determining the NIFT cutoff.

The entrance requirements and cutoff marks for the B.Des (Bachelor of Design) programme at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Mumbai, might change from year to year. The total fee for the B.Des programme at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Mumbai in 2024 is INR 12.77 lakhs. This includes the annual fee for tuition and examinations. The first semester's fee is INR 1,43,000.

The eligibility criteria for B.Des at NIFT Mumbai include:

1. *Age Limit*: General category candidates should be under 23 years old as of October 1 of the admission year. There's a relaxation of 5 years for reserved categories.

2. *Educational Qualifications*: You need to have passed the 10+2 level examination from a recognised board in India or any other country, or its equivalent. Those appearing for the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.

3. *Qualifying Exam*: Candidates should have passed the 10+2 level exam with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the case of the general category and 45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Additionally, to secure admission, you need to clear the NIFT Entrance Exam (GAT and CAT) and subsequently participate in the counselling process.

The average salary package for B.Des students at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Mumbai ranges from INR 5–6 Lacs per year, with the highest package being INR 12 Lacs per year. The lowest salary package offered is INR 3 Lacs per year.

B.Des students can earn an income ranging from INR 4–7 Lacs at the start, and can find work as a graphic designer, UI/UX designer, fashion stylist, or start their own studio. 

Companies visit the NIFT campus and conduct pre-placement talks to introduce themselves to the students and provide information about job profiles, salary packages, and selection criteria. Shortlisted candidates can participate in interviews, which either will be conducted on-campus or online
