The campus is dull when there is no fest. Everything is in the hands of faculty on campus.

Placements: Around 97% of students who applied for placements got it. Students need to keep their GPA above 7. Learning coding will be helpful. Students speaking skills matter a lot. The average salary package is decent, not like 1 crore per annum or 2 crore per annum. Doing an internship doesn't matter much during placements.

It is the best college because of faculty members.

Placements: Placements here are good, but not perfect. The highest salary package offered was 31 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 14 LPA. I am not sure about the companies, but sometimes the placement rates are high, though not every time. It is still a better college for placements compared to many local colleges.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and good infrastructure.

Placements: Many people got placements and to get placement you need at least a 7 CGPA. Everywhere it's the same thing and it's pretty hard for an average student to get placements usually in higher packages but can try hard and get it.

Review of my college #Nitc.

Placements: 50% of students are from their home state, and 50% are from other states. The highest package is INR 40 lakhs, and the average package is INR 5 lakhs. The top companies are Oracle, etc. 70% of students are placed in internships. In my course, many core jobs will come from the petroleum and paper industries.

Placements, infrastructure, and facilities are good, but there is an 80% attendance rule.

Placements: About 77% of students are placed. Only 9 students in biotechnology were registered, and 7 got placed. The average salary package is 6.5 LPA. Placements are good for CSE and ECE. For core branches and core companies, there are fewer placements. Any student can code and land a job in a product-based company on and off campus.

At NIT Calicut placement is good and the academic curriculum is better.

Placements: About 91.1% of students were placed in EEE. The highest package offered was 31.5 LPA, the lowest was 3.6 LPA, and the average was 9.43 LPA. The top recruiting company is Amazon and Bajaj auto. About 80% of students got an internship in EEE. The top role offered for our course students is a software engineer.

It is a good college if you want to study rather than enjoying it.

Placements: Placement for chemical engineering at NITC is between 35% to 60%. It usually varies every year. During our batch at NITC placements were around 50%. Placement in core companies is difficult because very few companies visit the campus. The highest salary package offered was around 30 LPA in non-core companies and 14 LPA in core companies. The lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. For an internship, only one or two companies visit the campus. Students got an internship in Reliance and Vedanta...

CSE at NIT-Calicut is very Good Placements (95%+ placement)

Placements: According to the official statistics, there is 100% placement due to the fact they count students only above 6.5CGPA for calculating the percentage. The highest package offered (Indian) was CTC 50L while the lowest is CTC 8L. The average salary would be somewhere around the 15-16L range. The highest package was offered by Atlassian and few companies such as Goldman Sachs, Microsoft. Other top recruiters were Oracle, Daily Hunt, Udaan, JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley and many more. Really not satisfied with the placements and the attitude of our management.

Placements: Placements for core branches were not good enough, but the placements and packages for non-core branches were good. The CTC offered is around 7-8 lakhs per annum. Only two or three students get placed every year in core companies like Texas Instruments and Qualcomm.

Very poor infrastructure, sub standard faculty members, but really good campus life.

Placements: Our seniors have had pretty decent placements so far. 82 out of 110 students who qualified for placements from our department have already been placed. Most of the companies are IT based. Core companies, i.e., companies related to our field of study, are very few in number.

Low placement percentage.

Placements: The placement percentage is too low. The average package is around Rs. 3,50,000 per annum. But even after having an offer letter in hand we can't rely on that company for the job. This year, a company Msupply.com selected 15 students and retrieved the offer without any proper explanation. There is no proper training or guidance.

Don't make my mistake again, try any other good college.

Placements: There was around 97% placement for our department according to the last year's statistics. But most of them are IT jobs. The average salary offered was 6.2 lakhs. They don't release the statistics of the internship. Meanwhile, CSE department has a better placement and they get good chances to do an internship.

Life in NIT, Calicut - A truly honest review.

Placements: Placements are not bad, but the person who handles it doesn't know how to do it. He will pressurise the low scoring students and tell them, they don't have a chance at it and demotivate them. Around 80% got placed with an average salary of 6 LPA. The core companies were less, most being from the IT field. Very few people got an internship through the campus. But companies like Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, L&T were amongst the companies that offered the internship. ...

Satisfied with placements in computer science but the faculty was the worst.

Placements: 5 students are pending placements in CSE. Out of 120 students, 115 got placed. So, 95% of students will get placements in computer science and engineering. The average salary offered was 8.9 lakhs, and the highest salary was offered by Amazon (26 lakhs). Microsoft, JP Morgan, MakeMyTrip and 65 more companies came to the college to acquire the students. 20% of students will get the internships from reputed companies because of their higher coding skills and grading, but the stipend is not offered...

In short, college life is not so good.

Placements: Placements of M.Tech (CSE) are good. There are two streams of M.Tech (CSE) i.e. one is CSE and the other is Information Security. Placements are same for both the branches. Other branches in M.Tech have less placements even some have 0 placements. 85% of the CSE students placed last year. Out of 25 students, 20 students got placed this year. The highest salary this year is 22 LPA (Oracle) and the lowest till now is 5.6 LPA. Average salary is 8 LPA. Oracle, Cisco, Morgan Stanly, Directi and CDot ...

NIT Calicut is one of the engineering colleges whose name speaks for itself. NIT Calicut is one of the best architecture colleges in India. It has been ranked 4th in architecture branch in India. With an excellent infrastructure, it provides a decent environment for education. It has a host of clubs and activities to choose from for all round development, depending on your interests. Good placements for 2016 batch.

Placements: We get a lot of companies for placements. Packages vary from 3,4 to 25L per annum. Students get internships in almost all companies that hires full-time. Software developer, app developer, data analyst and few other roles are hired. A very few core companies visit our college compared to software companies.

I am absolutely disappointed because of the lack of placements from core companies.

Placements: Companies which visited here for placements are software and consultancy firms, and none of the biotech companies visits here for placements. Students can join in NITC in the biotech department only due to NIT reputation. Even civil and EEE branches won't get core companies. Even faculty members don't guide students.
