This institute is an institute of national importance. The campus of NIT Kurukshetra is spread over an area of over 350 acres. Campus is lush green with a large sports complex. The hostels are also very good. My experience of 4 years in NIT Kurukshetra has been very good overall. I collected very fond memories from there like class test, end semester exam, late night study. Apart from all the fun, the best part is placement. Towards the end of final year, I got a government job from this colleg...

The great thing about this college is its diversity, students from different parts of the country and of different nationalities take admission here. It is a mixture of students from different cultures and social backgrounds. It hosts a number of cultural and technical events. However, there are a lot of restrictions on students and the labs are outdated.

1. Provides wonderful life experience. 2. Lots of academic learning. 3. Average faculty. 4. A large number of festivals are held and holds a record for extra-curricular learning. 5. Placement is at par with other National Institutes of Technology and is generally on the higher level among them.

Nice infrastructure, proper lab facilities for practical knowledge, good faculty, and brilliant exposure in every way like technology, industrial. Various fests to groom your talent. Excellent job opportunities for you if you wish to grab them. For ECE students, they should prepare for software side C, C++ and data structures as this will get them a job easily.

There will be no motivation or inspiration from the authorities or the atmosphere to be a part of extra-curricular activities. Though people are there who have done exceptional things but they accomplished the same from self-motivation and interest. Labs are useless for the mechanical branch and everything you can learn is from resources from outside of this college, except the internet. Placements are not much of a task here.

Poor faculty - There are no sufficient number of qualified professionals and quality of existing faculty is not good. 3. Availability of Equipment in Labs is less than requirement 4. Not much encouragement for research initiatives or helping students to pursue Higher education in that particular field (ECE) 5. The best thing about this college is its chillax culture. You can easily be an 8 pointer just by studying one night. Close proximity to Delhi NCR also ensures a good placements as compared to other north Indian NITs. Infrastructure wise it’s definitely one of the best among the NIT's. The college has a good alumni network and also has a good industry reputation...

Nit Kurukshetra do not have a good faculty. The campus is green and clean, it spreads across 300 acres. 75 % attendance is compulsory and you get 20 marks out of 100 if you attend 90% of the classes. There are two sessions of 10 marks each and 10 marks based on behaviour making the internal exam total to 50 and external exam is of 50 marks. Placements in NIT Kurukshetra are pretty good for Computer engineering, IT and Mechanical. For civil and ECE, it’s not that a good choice.

It is good college with good placements. College life is also good. Crowd is not much good most of the people are from villages. But college placement was good and average package is around Rs. 5 lakhs. College fees is also affordable. It’s better to go for NIT Kurukshetra rather than going to private colleges. College Infrastructure is not that much good but you can survive easily.

Really good college in terms of activities and studies too. But initially you have to work on your own to go with the flow. Also keep Hindi within yourself as backup. The teachers teaches exceptionally but sometimes in Hindi. And the place Kurukshetra is not so accessible. The nearest place with good access and movies is Chandigarh, and then Delhi.

Placements: As the total placements haven't been completed already, but as per our seniors and professors a good amount of students are being placed with a decent amount of package, though my course is new in the college so we don't have any passing seniors but we come under the computer Science department so yes, the highest package is expected to be somewhere around 1 crores and the lowest would somewhere be 8-10 Lacs, though its not official. Top recruiting companies for my course are nvidia, microsoft, ...
