This is the true review by the student of NIT Mizoram.
Placements: We have decent placements, like other NITs. Many companies come to our campus, like Juspay and Adobe. About 70 percent of students got placed with decent placements this year. So far, one of our seniors from the ECE department got the highest package, 21 LPA, from Juspay.
Infrastructure: We have good hostels. As we don't have our permanent campus yet, we have decent facilities in the hostels, like geysers and water purifiers. We also book futsal courts for playing games. We have the same courses for all branches in the first year, as we have the option of changing branches.
Faculty: Faculty are good and friendly with us. Whenever we need them, they are present to help us in every way. We have exams of a good level. Compared to toughness, there is relative grading in our college. Our exams are related to the courses or chapters taught in class.
Other: As we don't have our permanent campus, fests don't occur regularly. We have to book an auditorium to organize fests. All our students are busy with coding and other activities. We have to take flights to reach our college, as Mizoram doesn't have a railway station.

Review of National Institute of Technology, Mizoram.
Placements: Almost 100% of students from the civil engineering branch were placed last year. Core branches also achieved nearly 100% placement. Prominent recruiters include Ashok Leyland, Vedanta, and others. The average package was 9.8 LPA last year, with the highest package this year reaching 44 LPA.
Infrastructure: There is no permanent campus for NIT Mizoram, which limits facilities for outdoor games. The mess food is acceptable, but Wi-Fi connectivity is poor. The library is well-stocked.
Faculty: The teacher are good and knowledgeable in their respective fields. They are very helpful in nature. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry ready. Semester exams are challenging, with a pass CGPA requirement of 4.

Bad college, but good nature.
Placements: 100 percent placement rate is present in our campus because there are fewer members, and they all are placed. 29 Lacs is the highest, and 8 is the lowest. Google is mostly visited by companies. 70 percent of interns are from our college. In our college, the highest package has increased now, and the skills we get here are very well enough for the interview, placements, and communication skills are also taught here.
Infrastructure: Very bad quality of food is available here in the mess. Wi-Fi is too slow in Aizawl; the network connection is very bad at times. The climate is also challenging here in Aizawl. Classrooms have no fans and are very uneasy to sit in. The library is quite large; we can get any type of book there, but we have to reenter it monthly. If extended, we have to pay money for compensation. Labs are quite good and decent and can be very useful to us. All the equipment is present in the labs; we can do any work without any delay.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are very helpful. It is difficult to pass the semester exams. Teachers explain topics very clearly in a good manner. Semester and mid exams are very strict, with very strict invigilation. If any person is found to have cheated, they are terminated from all the exams. Here, there is a curriculum, and we celebrate in our hall with a very good atmosphere.
Other: Very bad infrastructure is there in the college, and it can get a small crowd in the college. There is no permanent campus for us, and on one side, there is a campus and on the other side, there is a hostel. The mess we eat in is in 2 places: in the hostel and in the college.

The weather and views are too good to be real.
Placements: 5/5 for placements, as one would not expect such good placements in reputed companies with good salaries in hand. Students are placed in Adobe, L&T, Ashok Leyland, Cognizant, Lumiq, and other big companies with decent packages. We are very proud to maintain a 70 percent placement ratio, even though not all students are eligible to sit for college placements.
Infrastructure: Very poor facilities are provided, and the arrangement of building blocks of the college is very disappointing, forcing students to walk 9-10 kms every day. The hostel is not that good as the building is not well maintained. We, as students, suffer to meet basic requirements. Medical facilities are inadequate too.
Faculty: Semester-wise exams are very well proctored and strictly maintained by the institute. We have a good and resourceful curriculum that allows us to focus on our goals. It is helpful for higher studies too. The industry-level design of the syllabus helps students build a mindset to cope with this competitive world.
Other: The campus surrounding is beautiful. The weather and views are just too good to be real.

BASED ON NIT MIZORAM Review.
Placements: Overall placement is good in the civil branch. Very beneficial degree if you get it from NIT. But if in the future you want a government job, then it is surely good for you. The highest package this year is 27 lac and the average package is 10 lac. Best of luck if you join NIT Mizoram.
Infrastructure: Lab, the classroom is okay. Ultimately, if you want to study, then no matter how the classroom is. And the hostel is good for girls and there are no sports activities for girls. But on sports day, you enjoy a little more. But if you want campus life, then it is not perfect for you.
Faculty: It is easy to score marks in the examination because the faculty wants you to pass at any cost. There is a little much pressure on you. But if you study a little more, of course, you will pass. Overall, the faculty is more educated. Lab faculty belong to Ph.D. scholars and others are professors.
Other: NSP scholarship is available, with no extracurricular activities, and for the fest, it is only for freshers.

Q:   Is it worth joining NIT Mizoram?

A:

As per the data collated from verified students' reviews published on Shiksha, students of NIT Mizoram have received placement opportunities from companies, such as Amazon, Flipkart, TCS and Wipro, among others. While the students in their reviews mention that 40-100% of students get placement opportunities every year under different BTech specialisations, the NIRF report of 2022 provides data that only 30% of students (30 out of 97) got placed via the campus. Additionally, the median package stood at INR 6.80 LPA. Hence, keeping the NIT tag in mind and medium-level placement opportunities at a location far away from metro cities, NIT Mizoram can be considered a decent option for education.
