The placement of this college is quite average. The average salary package offered is 8 LPA. The maximum salary package is 32 LPA for CSE and ECE branches. 

The other branches are offered less package but being a tier A college the overage package is quite good. The tech branches offers good salary. 

Candidates can take admission to M.Tech at NIT Mizoram through a common counselling named CCMT after qualifying for the GATE exam. In case the seats remain vacant even after the CCMT Counselling is over, non-GATE candidates are then offered admission on the basis of the institute-level admission process. No, for B.Tech NIT Kurukshetra is better than NIT Mizoram. NIT Kurukshetra is rated 4.0 out of 5 whereas the later is rated 3.6 out of 5.

The average placement package in the former is 16 LPA and the later has an average package  of 8 LPA.

Civil Engineering is the top course of NIT Mizoram. Completing Engineering of any branch is too good.But civil engineering has more weight.The Department of Civil Engineering started functioning from July, 2014. Currently, there are 4 regular faculty members and 4 temporary faculty members and 1technician.The Department offers four years Undergraduate Programme with a student capacity intake of 30 students and PhD Programme.The Department is currently functioning with 3 laboratories in order to fulfill the undergraduate courses.
