College Experience in NIT Sikkim.
Placements: The placements were different for different years. Like for this year in recession our college had a good placement record. Some of the top recruiters in our college are Infineon, Nvidia, Deloitte, etc. Our college always has 100% internships for the year.
Infrastructure: Facilities are available in abundance irrespective of the fact that our college currently has a temporary campus. The instruments and machines are available for every department. The quality of facilities is also quite good. We have a sports committee for managing sports activities.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are all Ph.D. or post doc. So, all faculty are qualified, and their way of teaching is also quite good. The course curriculum is like for GATE. The course curriculum is such that there are heavy theoretical subjects and also interesting numerical-solving subjects.

Review of NIT Sikkim - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: NIT placements are good and most of the students get placed every year. Around 80-90% of the student get placed in companies like Intel, BEL Power Grid visit every year. So overall placements for CS students is good but there are limited company visits for core branch student.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good because NIT Sikkim is newly established among NITs. It is basically on temporary campus so has limited source due to hilly area, but overall it is good. Hostel takes good care of students, so the infrastructure is good and the hostel is also good but the mess is not good, there is always a problem in the food quality.
Faculty: Faculty members are educated and well-qualified. Their teaching skills are also good, but some teachers are less experienced. We have a good exam curriculum, and it includes 2 mid semesters each of 15 marks, an end-term exam of 50 marks, and the rest 20 marks are for internal assessment of the student. The pass percentage is 40%.

Our college is located in the laps of Himalayas.
Placements: Placements in NIT Sikkim are average. About 85-90% of the student get placed. For CSE students, the placements are good because many companies visit NIT Sikkim especially for them. But in the core branch, there is some problem with placements. Only 5-6 students get placements but in the overall branch, about 80-85% of the students get placed in top companies like Intel, Microsoft, Powergrid, BEL, etc.
Infrastructure: NIT Sikkim is located on a temporary campus so there is some limitation in the facilities. But overall it is good in all aspects. There is a sports playground, library and auditorium, so it provides all basics types of facilities. Hostel of NIT Sikkim is good, and it provides all types of basic needs of students but the mess quality of food is irritating.
Faculty: Faculty members here are good and they are very much helpful. All the teachers are well-educated and qualified but less experienced. But their efforts make no sense. The course curriculum is good and the same for all branches. there are 2 mid-term exams and one-end semester exams. You need 40 marks in each subject to pass.
Other: Our seniors are very much helpful, and they provide all types of support in financial as well in academics. A lot more activities are held in NIT Sikkim to enjoy it. Overall it is a very lovable place.

It provided 72% of placement for the 2021 batch, and our college is developing day by day.
Placements: Some students of the civil department get placed in core companies, and most of the students opt for the software field. Some students also clear competitive exams and get government jobs. Overall, about 72% of students got placement from the 2021 batch in the college.
Infrastructure: Our current campus is a temporary one, so we do not have high tech infrastructure. Almost all facilities are provided in the college. The hostel is good, and the 1st-year hostel is outside the campus. The college provides a bus to travel from hostel to campus. A mess of 1st year is inside the hostel only.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are good. They teach well, and students easily understand their subject. But there are average students, so they need to give extra effort to understand the subject. Classes are organised regularly, and about 75% attendance is mandatory to give the semester examinations.
Other: The environment of the college is very good and adventurous. It is in the mountains, so only rainy and winter season happens here.

Overall NIT Sikkim is a good college.
Placements: Campus placements are not good in the civil department. If a student wants to get placed, he has to learn coding subjects. Core placements are very rare in NIT Sikkim. But companies like L&T visits our college almost every year. Around 4-5 students get placed in L&T.
Infrastructure: Since NIT Sikkim is a newly established NIT and it's running on a temporary campus. But overall the infrastructure is good and you can enjoy the weather as it is very beautiful. If you are a mountain lover you should definitely visit NIT Sikkim. Sikkim is like a heaven of India and you can enjoy the weather and beauty here. Civil department labs are not good here in NIT Sikkim because it is not a permanent campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are well and good. Many professors have done Ph.D. from the institutions like IIT and NIT. They are very helpful but are less experienced. Their effort makes no sense of experience. The exam pattern has two mid-term and 1 end-term in one semester. They complete the syllabus and get doubt clear.
Other: NIT Sikkim is a national-level engineering college. To get admission here you need to clear JEE Main. Please don't have the misconception that northeastern NITs are not good. These colleges are far ahead of many government colleges. The weather here is the beautiful thing which you will find. There are immense views of mountains and sunrise. You will love the place if you are a winter lover.
