For 2023, cut off was 34083 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in NIT Sikkim. The cutoff for 2023 is higher compare to the previous two years. in 2021 it was 30095 and in 2022 it was 25908.

National Institute of Technology, Sikkim was established in 2010.  As per the ranking, the institute falls in the 151-200 rank band, as per NIRF 2023 rankings of Tech Colleges. NIT Sikkim has been recognised as an 'Institution of National Importance' by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India. Talking about the NIT Sikkim placement rate for the BTech programme, it offers a decent package. As per the latest placement brochure, 83.70% of BTech students were placed during the academic year 2022-23. Further, the BTech students of NIT Sikkim received 100% internship opportunities in reputed organisations. The prominent recruiters of NIT Sikkim placements 2023 included Deloitte, Infosys, Oracle, Salesforce, etc.

The total fee for the BTech programme at NIT Sikkim is INR 5 lakh, Total fee is calculated based on annual/ semester fee available for the academic year, hence is indicative. ST/SC & PH students are fully exempted from paying tuition fees, while the most economically backward students (whose family income is less than Rs.1.00 Lacs per annum) are granted full remission of the tuition fee. Other economically backward students, whose family income falls between Rs.1.00 to 5.00 Lacs per annum, are granted a remission of 2/3rd of the tuition fee. 

NIT Sikkim BTech programme isn’t ranked internationally. However the BTEch programmehas been ranked under National Institutional Ranking Framework, NIRF. NIRF is an approved by the MHRD and was launched by Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development on 29^th of September 2015. The NIRF has ranked NIT Sikkim’s BTech programme 173^rd among top engineering colleges in India.

NIT Sikkim JEE Main Round 6 cutoff for Computer Science Engineering is 24093 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission in NIT Sikkim.

• Candidates seeking admission at NIT Sikkim are required to complete the application form for the course-specific entrance exam. After appearing for the respective entrance exams, candidates have to apply for the counselling process for the final seat allotment.
• For its flagship BTech course, NIT Sikkim admits students with a valid JEE Main score and are allotted seats through JoSAA Counselling. Admission to M.Tech is done through GATE, followed by CCMT Counselling. Similarly for MSc admission, IIT JAM and CCMN Counselling are required. However, PhD admission requires to appear in the Institution entrance exam and PI. Additionally, NIT Sikkim conducts IAT (Institute Admission Test),  for admission to the left-over seats from the CCMN and CCMNT counselling for MSc/MTech.
• The cutoff for BTech, MTech, and MSc courses is released by the respective counselling bodies.The shortlisted candidates are then required to pay the admission fee to confirm their seats.
