It is a good college with a good environment.
Placements: In the electronics and communication course, there are a lot of chances to do work. Around 99 % of the students got placements. Rest of the students got placed off-campus. There are a lot of companies vsiitng our college but in the civil and mechanical department, the situation is not good. Teachers also help us to get placed. Top companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Google, Amazon, etc., visit the campus. If students want to get placed, he should knoe coding subject and teachers helps us to learn coding. Many students got internships from our campus in all big companies. Core companies are also coming to NIT Sikkim. But companies like L&T visit our college almost every year. Since NIT Sikkim is a newly established NIT and it's running on a temporary campus, but still placements and internships for electronics and communication are good. Civil department labs are not good in NIT Sikkim because it is not a permanent campus but accept this everything is good in NIT Sikkim. The highest salary package offered in NIT Sikkim is about 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4LPA. But almost every student got intern and placed in electronics and communication. Overall NIT Sikkim is good placement-wise. Our college provides ample opportunities to those who wish to get placed in good companies. Again there is competition since the number of students is high. The process is quite streamlined. Qualities of placements are good here, in the last year all students got placed. One of the best placements you can expect from NIT Sikkim. Approximately 90% of the students got placed from NIT Sikkim.
Infrastructure: Labs are good except civil department because NIT Sikkim is a newly established NIT. Classrooms are also good. There are also facilities to teach digitally. You will also like the weather because the hill of Kanchenjunga Everest looks beautiful from the campus. It is a nice place for students but there is a need for most of things and equipment. NIT Sikkim is running on a temporary campus. Overall the infrastructure is good and you can enjoy it as it is beautiful. If you are a mountain lover you should visit NIT Sikkim. Sikkim is like the heaven of India and you can enjoy the weather and beauty here. ECE labs are good in NIT Sikkim but civil Labs are not good. Each student gets 12 GB of Wi-Fi for studying. The hostel is good but the food served in the hostel is not good. It is good if you buy food from outside the hostel. The rooms of the hostel are good. In every room and washroom, there are tiles. We also have good facilities for water in the hostel. You will enjoy the hostel life of NIT Sikkim. But again the food is not good. Overall the hostel is good but the mess is not good and not hygienic. The facilities for books are also good. You will enjoy the campus, labs, classrooms, and library. It is a beautiful place. You will enjoy the hostel life here but not the food. I recommend joining this college.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and well. They have a helping nature. They will help you in all the bad situations where you are stuck in problems. Many professors have done Ph.D. from the institute like IIT and NIT. They are very helpful but less experienced. Their effort makes no sense of experience. The exam pattern has two midterms and one end term in one semester. They complete the syllabus on time and get the doubts clear. NIT Sikkim is a national-level engineering college, so to get admission here you need to clear JEE Mains. Please do not misconception that northeastern NITs are not good. Faculty members are quite good and friendly. You will enjoy the course here. The passing percentages are 40% for all the students. It makes us industry-ready. Almost 90% of the students got internships and were placed in top companies like Adobe, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Logicboots, L&T, Power Grid, etc. The faculty members help us with GATE exams too. They build the questions and make students understand. It is easy to say the place and the students and the faculty members are good here. The examination cell is also good as they search the best companies for us and reached to them and got the students placed. The semester exams are tough but the faculty members help us to make that easier.
Other: I like the environment of NIT Sikkim.

It is a perfect place to study, especially for nature lovers.
Placements: Mainly the placements in our institution focus on computer science background and some what on the core of other disciplines. The placements percentage is not so good in our college because NIT was newly established in 2010. But the placement percentage is increasing. Most of the students get placements from companies like IBM, McAfee, TCS, Intel, L&T and power Grid Companies. Specially Power Grid is the main attraction to our NIT for EEE Branch. In the year 2021, the highest salary package offered in the CSE Branch is 16 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not good when compared to other NITs. The locality and environment are very silent and good. The Wi-Fi facility is good, but it does not work 24x7. Labs are good as compared to other NITs in the Northeastern states. The library is average but does not keep more expectations. Medical facilities are good. A mess is good, which is inside the campus. Sports facilities are average, but the weather doesn't accept us to play.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are knowledgeable. They have the best teaching quality and care. Most of the faculty members encourage us to do more projects and workshops. The course curriculum is well designed as per student levels. Semesters exams are not easy as your thinking because it is a national institution.
Other: Mainly you can enjoy your college life well when you are on campus. Our college organises two main fests every year one is technical, and the other is cultural. South Indian people feel more different in NIT as compared to their respective home places because of various things like climate, tradition and food.

National institute of technology Sikkim.
Placements: There are very good placements and internship opportunities at the college, especially compared to the past 4 years. Over 70% of students are placed through campus recruiting, and there are many campus recruitment drives.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but compared to other college campuses, it is very small. However, for this region, having this many resources is very good. The campus is beautiful, with a view of Mount Kanchenjunga.
Faculty: The faculty is very good. They are interactive and friendly with students. Many faculty members guide students in every situation and are approachable. There are also faculty members with whom students can share their personal problems.

I am partially satisfied with the college as a few branches went well with placements.
Placements: Students from CSE & EEE only are placed well. Other branches aren't placed well, so they've to look into it. Today's students are tomorrow's future of India. Microsoft, Dell, Amazon, and many other top companies come for recruitment. Many students got more than 70%.
Infrastructure: I'm disappointed with the infrastructure of the hostel as well as the college. It's a temporary campus with below 30 acres of land. This isn't the way how an engineering college should be. But we can concern about it, since Sikkim is a developing state, so we've to adjust.
Faculty: Faculty members are good at their part. They're helpful for students. I could rate 4 for the quality of teaching. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are difficult. But if you study hard, eventually you'll get good marks.
Other: The campus isn't that pretty. Don't expect much, as it is a temporary campus. Somehow they're at least managing to cover with events & flashmobs & some other activities.

NIT Sikkim is one of the great renowned institutes in India.
Placements: NIT Sikkim is the best place to enhance skill development in the field of science and technology. Almost 80-90% of the students got placement in the renowned top recruiting companies like Tata Consultancy Services, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, etc., with a good package. The highest salary package offered ranges between 12-13 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered ranges between 4-5 LPA. Students get internships often with good scores in academic background. Top roles offered in our course were artificial intelligence, embedded systems, data structure, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is great. Facilities available in our college are very good. Wi-Fi facility is available with quite good speed. Labs are well-equipped with every instrument being tested, which help the students to get the results efficiently in the practical field. Classrooms are well-equipped and air-conditioned. The library consists of various good books with academics as well as journals being published by great professors and scientists. The hostel rooms were well ventilated. Quality of food served to the students was also good. The canteen was also good at that time when I was a student there. Medical facilities were very good with 24x7 availability of health staff members. Sports and games were held from time to time where students also participated with great enthusiasm.
Faculty: Faculty members teaching quality is great. They were helpful, well qualified and knowledgeable. They monitored every student with great effort to make the students future bright. Students were also devoted to professors efforts. Whenever students asked doubts, professors were ready to solve them with great enthusiasm. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course due to my interest in the technical field, and I always had a dream to do my engineering from a renowned college. NIT Sikkim was the best place to learn and make my dreams come true. Our college organises the national level cultural fest named Abhiyantran, where students enjoyed, shown their talents and earned a lot of technical and managerial knowledge.
