If you do not want CSE and mechanical, don't come to this college.
Placements: The highest package offered in core is 20 lacs per annum. The average package is around 12 LPA. BPCL, L&T, Tata motors, etc. are the top companies. Approximately, all the student get internships. At NITW, 90% students from mechanical were placed which is a good image for the college, and in CSE there is almost 100% placements rate.
Infrastructure: Some hostels are good, but in the 2nd year, 7th and 3rd block hostels are too bad. Wi-Fi is good and the library is also fine. The food is not so good. Sport facilities are better than other NITs, we have one stadium where you can play cricket, football, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are not so helpful. In 2 years I met only one professor who was encouraging. Their teaching quality is average. I think it's relevant, some courses make the students industry ready. There is an average grading system at NITW, so you have to obtain above average marks to get good CGPA.
Other: I like the automotive industry, so I decided to study mechanical branch and this course gives you a practical way of thinking. Some theory subjects are there which I think are not important. Events are spring-spree and tech fest.

My experience at national institute of technology Warangal .
Placements: I am currently in my 3rd year and am surprised to see such mass recruitment at our college for both interns as well as for placements. Top companies like Google, Goldman Sachs, Salesforce, Microsoft, etc., visit our college for recruitments. In my department, around 30 students out of 140 were selected for internships, and around 150-200 students were selected from all departments for SDE, hardware, and core roles. The highest package offered till then is 88 LPA, while the lowest is around 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: We have good Wi-Fi facilities across all parts of the campus and but classrooms where each classroom can accommodate around 80-100 students and a large library with various kinds of books. The facilities in the hostel are not as good as other colleges provide. The mess food is also not so good. We have good medical and sports facilities.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful and help us regarding the course. The course curriculum not only involves our department courses but also required courses like humanities, communications software, etc. The semester exams are not so difficult; it is easy to score a good GPA.
Other: I chose this course because I am very much interested in knowing how electrical machines work, how our houses get electricity, and all. Our college provides the best faculty members with good knowledge on the course, which is really helping me in achieving my goals and gaining good knowledge on the subject. We have several events like Technozion and Springspree, and various events are conducted by the clubs like Robotics, Dance, Dramatics, etc.

My journey at NIT Warangal.
Placements: Many top companies like Microsoft, Google, DE Shaw, Oracle, Visa, etc., visit our college for placements. Some companies come for intern recruitment and offer PPOs to the selected students, and some companies come during placements. This year, around 100 students were selected for the interns, which is about 10 percent, but around 90 percent of the students get placed during placements in the final year. Top roles offered would be managerial, SDE, software developer, etc. The highest package offered this year is 88 LPA, and the lowest is around 6-10 LPA.
Infrastructure: We have good Wi-Fi and classroom facilities available in our college. We even have a smart TV in every classroom so that it becomes easy for the faculty to present their PPTs. We have a central library with around 10,000 books. Regarding hostels, we don't have facilities as private colleges have, but it is manageable. We have a hygienic mess with healthy food. Our college has good medical facilities and a large ground where students play badminton, cricket, etc.
Faculty: We have highly qualified faculty members who did their Ph.D.s in top reputed colleges like IITs. The teachers are very helpful and supportive. The course curriculum is very well designed so that we could easily clear entrance exams like GATE and also get into top companies if we put in a little effort. The semester evaluation goes like 40 for the end and the rest, 60, for internals. The pass percentage would be around 98-99 in our department. It is easy to get a good grade if we focus on the classes.
Other: As I didn't get NITW CSE based on my JEE rank, I went with electrical because, based on my research about the colleges, I came to know that we can participate in SDE roles from any department at NIT Warangal. The best part about this course is being electrical and electronics and also providing certain CSE courses in our curriculum. We are eligible for electrical, electronics, and software roles during placements. Coming to events, we have 2 fests every year. One is Technozion, which is a technical fest where students present their innovative ideas, and we also have a cultural fest to promote the culture of the society.

Review of NIT Warangal - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: 90 percent of students are placed in courses. The highest package is 88 LPA. And the lowest is around 7 LPA. Microsoft, Nokia, Qualcomm, etc. are the top recruiters. Internships are low because of the backlog of students. 35 percent of students got internships. Top roles offered are managers.
Infrastructure: WiFi is too slow; they says 100mb per sec. WiFi and laboratory are bad. Labs have good equipment that won't work anyway; they are good with ACs provided. Mess is the worst thing in the college. The hostel rooms are good, but there is no proper ventilation, and the gym is adequate; medical facilities are adequate.
Faculty: Techers are sadistic, not at all helpful; they are qualified and of no use; some of them used to help. Teaching quality is okay. Exams are difficult.
Other: The faculty at NIT Warangal is renowned for its expertise and dedication, fostering innovation and excellence in engineering and technology education.
