Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Story of Priyadarshini College of Engineering.
Placements: I'm pursuing Mechanical Engineering at Priyadarshini College of Engineering, and I'm in my 3rd year. The company like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Wipro, Infosys, and Mahindra. Around 50% of students likely to get an internship from college but it's depends on students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of Priyadarshini College of Engineering is very beautiful, and the campus is well-maintained. Hostel is very good, with Wi-Fi facility for study, and also library space is available. The food in hostel is also good, with 2 full meals and 1 breakfast served daily.
Faculty: The teaching faculty of mechanical department is very good and supportive. They are ready to help students as they need. College has an exam pattern before the university semester exams, with 35 marks each for 2 papers CAT 1 and CAT 2, and sessional 70 marks. Exam are really hard.

Priyadarshini Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: 90% of students were placed in my course. The highest package offered ranges from 3 lakh to 6 lakh, while the lowest package is between 50,000 to 1.5 lakh. 85% of students secured internships with Tata Steel. The top recruiting companies for my course include Tata Steel and The Walt Disney Company.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by our college include Wi-Fi, coolers, a computer lab, and a library. The quality of food in the mess is average—not too good and not too bad. The medical facilities are among the best in our college. We also have sports tournaments every month.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is excellent, as they often crack jokes during lectures to help students understand topics more easily. This course is relevant and prepares students for the industry.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty members and facilities.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in my course was 45 percent. The average package was 5 lacs, the highest package was 7 lacs, and the lowest package was 3 lacs. Some reputed companies reached our college campus for recruitment, and several students got internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities available for my batch are not good. The conditions of washrooms are not well. There is no water supply in taps and flush. The hostel rooms are very small and congested. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is average.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. They are not enough helpful and don't provide enough resources so that students can perform well in the examinations. Our course is not curriculum relevant. The semester exams are difficult because of fewer resources.

Reality of Priyadarshani College.
Placements: The college is average, so don't expect much; you should take the initiative regarding placements and pursuing a good package. Mostly, companies come for web development roles and user testing, and it's rare for someone to get an out-of-the-box package.
Infrastructure: The college offers various facilities, including Wi-Fi, a large library, well-equipped laboratories, modern computer labs, and well-furnished classrooms. The hostel is also good, but the food from the mess is not that great; as you know, all messes don’t focus on nutrition.
Faculty: The faculty is kind and supportive; they help us in every way they can. Even during placement time, the teachers are more excited than the students, and the energy was different when I was studying there. Semester exams are a bit tough, but teachers help us a lot with doubts and exam preparation.

Quite dissatisfied beacuse of infrastructure.
Placements: The percentage of students who were placed in my course was 52%. The highest package was 9.5 LPA, the average package was 5 LPA, and the lowest package was 2 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Teach Mahindra and TCS. Many students also got internships.
Infrastructure: The furniture of the classrooms and labs is getting old and worn-out. The technologies like projectors, computers, and printers are also getting outdated. Wi-Fi facilities are not available for students. A well-stocked library is present. Multiple sports and medical facilities are there.
Faculty: The teachers are of very helpful and polite nature. They provide both online and offline resources for study. They use different types of methodologies for teaching with their personal involvement with the students. Our course's curriculum is relevant, and many activities are conducted by the college.
