Review on Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam.
Placements: Placement in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology is above average. The number of students getting placed depends upon the department. In the Mechanical department, around twenty students get placed every year. Companies which come here include L&T, IBM CIC, and G10X.
Infrastructure: In every department, Wi-Fi is available. We have got a separate library building. Also, every department has its own library. Classrooms are average. Teachers are highly qualified. We have a separate block for the physical education department. We have also got a beautiful ground. The quality of food in the canteen and hostel is average.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and experienced. They have a really helpful mentality. Yes, the curriculum is updated. You must do some internship during the vacation to be industry-ready. Semester exams are of easy to moderate level. The exam is conducted for 100 marks, and you have to score 40 marks to pass the exam.

RIT is a campus of greenery and also uplifts our dreams and career for a better life.
Placements: The placements offered by our college are very good. Around 40% of students from each batch in their respective departments secure placements in various core companies. The highest salary package offered is 2 LPA, with the average package around 1.5 LPA, and the lowest being ₹1 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TATA, Infosys, L&T, IBM, Geodis, etc. Around 60% of students receive internships at IBM, 30% at Cochin Shipyard, and the rest in private sectors. The top roles offered in my course are Head, Instructor, or Advisory to mechanical-dependent systems.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities of our department are outstanding. Well-equipped classrooms and labs are the highlights. Each department has its own Wi-Fi for internet access, and there is a separate library for references. The quality of food at the mess and canteen is excellent, offering a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options daily. The campus also provides medical facilities with a dedicated medical support in-charge at each department. Additionally, there is a separate Physical Education department for sports and games, which encourages skill development through various competitions.
Faculty: The faculty of our department is highly qualified, with many holding Ph.D. degrees and having graduated from prestigious institutions like IITs and NITs. They offer strong guidance to help with career development. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares us mentally to tackle real-world problems. The semester exams are slightly tough, but with hard work, we can easily overcome them. The pass percentage of our batch is around 87%.
Other: I chose this course for two reasons: first, my passion for the field, and second, the mechanical department of our college is recognized for its international standard in the state. The best part of my course is the job opportunities it offers, along with high future prospects. I wish to see more practical applications within the college for our course. Our technical fest, RITHU, is held in March, and Keli, the cultural festival, takes place in September. The campus is surrounded by greenery, contributing to a serene environment. The college also provides scholarships like Egrant S and others for eligible students.

    Rit inside the campus tour.
Placements: I'm studying mechanical engineering there are 75 students in my class for the information about the passing out back in that class also 75 above strength in the personal strengths are placed in that passing out batch was 30 and above the highest package they received may be 12 Lacs per annum the average package can be 6,00,000 or above the top reporting companies were plastic omnium L anti turbo the percentage of students could internship from our course was nearly half top roles offered in our course like core jobs of mechanical engineering but most people place it in the way of software engineering.
Infrastructure: Talking about the facilities and infrastructures available for our courses in department bare in the case of Wi-Fi sometimes Wi-Fi was good but the availability Wi-Fi in hope was very poor like in garden ladies house and mine household but in libraries and classroom the Wi-fi availability was so good the quality of facilities in our hostels like quality of food available in the mess and canteen or medical facilities sports games is well in RIGRG had a great ground with a whole facilities for sports and games and the candy there are two canteen variety and medical facilities was also so good.
Faculty: The teachers are so helpful they are qualified knowledgeable and most of the teachers are taken there Ph.D. from prominent institutions like Riggs the course is sometimes 11 but mostly theoretical basis a practical knowledge of students in this course is very less.
Other: From my childhood onwards I am interested in mechanical engineering the best thing about my course is there are so many practical applications in hand you can get through this course and yes I think the course will be better so much in the practical accessibility for the students the even best in campus crowd connectivity or the campus surroundings of RIT was so good whether it is so nightlife in RIT and the scholarship or extracurricular activities was also above average at each year students could scholarship from the government And Oregon other many private scholarship.

College infrastructure and campus life are excellent.
Placements: Last year, 8 percent of students in my course were placed at different firms, but in the previous year, it was 31 percent. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, and the average package is 4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Oracle, Infosys, Wipro, TCD, MRF, L&T, Idea Cellular, SPCL, etc. About 60% of students got internships. Roles offered in my course are electrical engineer, electronics engineer, IT consultant, etc.
Infrastructure: RIT Kottayam is one of the finest government engineering colleges in Kerala. The electrical department has facilities like clean classrooms, a department library that has plenty of useful books, separate labs like AC lab, DC lab, power lab, analog lab, digital lab, circuit lab, and software lab. Wi-Fi is also provided by the department. My hostel has facilities like rooms with separate beds and study tables. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is above average. Medical facilities are also provided, as there is a medical room in the administrative block. Sports like football, basketball, cricket, etc., are encouraged by the college. Games like quizzes, chess, and table tennis are also encouraged by the college.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful; they really guide students and clarify any doubts of the students. Teachers are qualified as they are government employees. The teaching quality of teachers is excellent. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready, as every five years, the university changes the scheme of the course curriculum. It is a way of making students industry-ready. The semester exams are of moderate type, which will analyze the skills of students. Above 90 percent of students pass the exams.

RIT KOTTAYAM- A Gateway to Success if Walked Through Properly.
Placements: Almost half of the students are placed every year. Most of the placements however come from IT fields so getting a core job after course completion is difficult, but not impossible. The packages are decent ranging from 20k to upto 60k. In EEE few core placements arrive with the most frequent being L&T and TATA.
Infrastructure: Hostels could be better. Food is below average. The college hostels are good, but the number of seats is limited. The private hostels are somewhat expensive when combined with the daily food expenses. Also, the canteen is poor with low food quality and frequent food poisoning outbreaks.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful and the end semester exams are okay. The courses are somewhat outdated but relevant, but it is up to KTU. RIT is ranked 2 in the exam results in 2023 with the least failures in Kerala. It is mostly self-study in the college, but it helps the students in improving their learning skills.
Other: I chose RIT because it is closer to my home, and it is also one of the leading GECs in Kerala. The campus life is decent with frequent extra-curricular events. IEEE, SAE etc. Are all active in the college where IEEE focus mainly on connectivity and SAE on hand on experiences.

Placements: Around 75 percent of students were placed, and many students went for higher education. The highest package is around 14 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA. TCS, Microsoft, Wipro, Bosch, MRF are some of the recruiters. Around 85% of students get internships in various companies like TCS, L&T.
Infrastructure: The buildings are too old, but the faculties here provide the best education. All types of labs and workshops are available. Each department has separate buildings, and free Wi-Fi is also available. The library in RIT contains all types of books, e-books, and newspapers. The canteen is budget-friendly, and all types of sports activities are included. There are government hostels for boys and girls, and private hostels are also available. Special reservations are available for reserved category students for hostel accommodation.
Faculty: The teachers here are well-qualified, and they provide quality education to students. Every four years, there is a change in our curriculum, which helps us to learn the latest technology and ideas in today's world. This year, every engineering student has to learn Python, and every student has a physical wellness class, which helps to improve focus on our health.
Other: There are also various fests like Tech Show, Robotics, and Auto Show.
