College infrastructure and campus life are excellent.
Placements: Last year, 8 percent of students in my course were placed at different firms, but in the previous year, it was 31 percent. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, and the average package is 4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Oracle, Infosys, Wipro, TCD, MRF, L&T, Idea Cellular, SPCL, etc. About 60% of students got internships. Roles offered in my course are electrical engineer, electronics engineer, IT consultant, etc.
Infrastructure: RIT Kottayam is one of the finest government engineering colleges in Kerala. The electrical department has facilities like clean classrooms, a department library that has plenty of useful books, separate labs like AC lab, DC lab, power lab, analog lab, digital lab, circuit lab, and software lab. Wi-Fi is also provided by the department. My hostel has facilities like rooms with separate beds and study tables. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is above average. Medical facilities are also provided, as there is a medical room in the administrative block. Sports like football, basketball, cricket, etc., are encouraged by the college. Games like quizzes, chess, and table tennis are also encouraged by the college.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful; they really guide students and clarify any doubts of the students. Teachers are qualified as they are government employees. The teaching quality of teachers is excellent. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready, as every five years, the university changes the scheme of the course curriculum. It is a way of making students industry-ready. The semester exams are of moderate type, which will analyze the skills of students. Above 90 percent of students pass the exams.

RIT KOTTAYAM- A Gateway to Success if Walked Through Properly.
Placements: Almost half of the students are placed every year. Most of the placements however come from IT fields so getting a core job after course completion is difficult, but not impossible. The packages are decent ranging from 20k to upto 60k. In EEE few core placements arrive with the most frequent being L&T and TATA.
Infrastructure: Hostels could be better. Food is below average. The college hostels are good, but the number of seats is limited. The private hostels are somewhat expensive when combined with the daily food expenses. Also, the canteen is poor with low food quality and frequent food poisoning outbreaks.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful and the end semester exams are okay. The courses are somewhat outdated but relevant, but it is up to KTU. RIT is ranked 2 in the exam results in 2023 with the least failures in Kerala. It is mostly self-study in the college, but it helps the students in improving their learning skills.
Other: I chose RIT because it is closer to my home, and it is also one of the leading GECs in Kerala. The campus life is decent with frequent extra-curricular events. IEEE, SAE etc. Are all active in the college where IEEE focus mainly on connectivity and SAE on hand on experiences.

This is an eco-friendly college with a view of many mountains. It is on 80 acres of land.
Placements: About 90% of students who pass all their subjects get placements. Top recruiters are Trilogy Innovation, TCS, Infosys, and SOTI. Top roles offered are associate engineer, assistant engineer, team coordinator, technical coordinator, and consultant. Internships are offered at KSEB, Cochin Marine, etc.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available. Hostel food is not good sometimes. Facilities are below average in hostels. College facilities are good. Medical facilities are available at the college. Doctors will be there on Fridays for check-ups. Free Wi-Fi is available.
Faculty: Most of them are Ph.D. graduates. They teach very well but don't compel anyone to study. It is full of freedom. Every student will be equally considerate and have no soft corner for anyone. The pass percentage is 85%. Most students go for higher studies. Semester exams are fine.
Other: It is a government engineering college. The fee structure is very low.

If you're going to pursue engineering in Kerala, RIT would be a great choice.
Placements: Everyone without any backlogs got decent placements. The compensation ranges from 5.5 LPA to 3.5 LPA. The main recruiting companies were VVDN, TCS, Infosys, UST, QuEST Global, etc. Many of them were placed as software engineers, embedded system design engineers, system engineers, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Every department has got its own department library with technology-based books. There is a central library, spread all over three floors, with many books across various genres. The classrooms are good and clean. Each can accommodate 65 to 70 students with enough power points, projectors, and Wi-Fi access.
Faculty: RIT follows the curriculum developed by Kerala Technological University (APJKTU). The curriculum is well-developed and well-established. They are very relevant and helpful. Teachers are well-educated and very helpful. They all got good knowledge in their subjects. Apart from guest teachers, everyone got a Ph.D. there. The semester exams were moderately tough, but you can clear them with good marks by putting in a little more effort than in the school days.
Other: I was very enthusiastic about electrical and electronic technologies, even from my childhood. That's why I chose to become an electrical engineer. Another exciting aspect of RIT is that there are numerous events available to you as an opportunity to display your talents or passions. If you play football or play guitar, if you love public speaking, if you love to be a radio jockey, if you are a good dancer or good singer, this is definitely the place for you.

Review of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kerala.
Placements: Approximately about 40-50% of the students got placed. The salary package offered is 2.5-6 LPA. TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Nissan Digital and Cognizant are top companies which came to recruitment. Almost 20-50% of the students got an internship from the top companies.
Infrastructure: The college provides good infrastructure and facilities. The college has 25 years of the oldest architecture infrastructure. It has the oldest hostel which has a poor electrical connection and clean bathrooms, but rooms give above-average comfort. Hostel food is great.
Faculty: Teachers are excellent and appointed according to their the highest qualification of PhD and PG in their areas. They make me a good citizen for developing society, and they are very helpful. The curriculum does not make a student responsible and professional engineer for the future. Major contents in the syllabus are waste, so it not effectively helpful.
