Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at SAL worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is B.E./B.Tech at SAL worth the investment?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary:

Pros:

* Good placement record: Most students (around 60-90%) reported getting placed in reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Byju's, and Wipro, with an average salary package ranging from INR2.5 LPA to INR6 LPA.
* Industry-ready curriculum: The course curriculum is designed to prepare students for the industry, making them employable upon graduation.
* Supportive faculty: Many reviewers praised the faculty members, describing them as helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced.
* Good infrastructure: Although not exceptional, the infrastructure, including classrooms, labs, and campus facilities, is considered satisfactory.
* Extracurricular activities: The college hosts various events, festivals, and sports competitions, providing students with a well-rounded experience.

Cons:

* Limited hostel facilities: Not all students may find accommodations within the campus, requiring external arrangements.
* Slow Wi-Fi speeds: A few reviewers mentioned that the Wi-Fi connectivity in labs could be improved.
* Unhelpful faculty in some cases: A minority of students felt that some faculty members lacked enthusiasm and didn't provide adequate support.

Conclusion:
While B.E/B.Tech at SAL Institute might not offer exceptional infrastructure or state-of-the-art amenities, its strong placement record, industry-ready curriculum, and supportive faculty make it a worthwhile investment for aspiring engineers. However, students should weigh these advantages against potential limitations like limited hostel facilities and slow Wi-Fi speeds.

Note: Individual responses may vary depending on personal preferences, academic backgrounds, and expectations. These findings are based on aggregated reviews and should not be taken as a guarantee of success.

It is the private college in Gujarat because of facilities and infrastructure.
Placements: In SAL Institute of Technology Engineering and Research, there are a total of 105 students enrolled for placements in 2021, out of which 41 students got placed. The highest package offered was 2.4 LPA. The college's top recruiters are TCS, BYJU's, ABP News, The Woodbridge Group, Alpha Nine Marine Services, ABG Shipyard Limited, ZYDUS etc. In my branch, mechanical engineering, 73 companies came for placements.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are always clean and are in very good condition. The college has a library with a huge collection of books. A canteen is available. Sports and games are organized every semester. Medical facilities are good and available near every classroom.
Faculty: The teaching quality is very good, and the faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable. They not only teach us, but they motivate us and tell us ground reality of industries to make preparations for upcoming problems. Semester exams are not much difficult because the teaching makes exams easy.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because I have been interested in engines and their work since childhood. The best thing is that machines reduce human efforts, which is a revolutionary move in human history. I wish that innovation should be done in mechanical engineering to solve ground reality problems. Events, fests and extracurricular activities are arranged by our college. My friends and I enjoy a lot.

This college is above the development.
Placements: The campus offers employment and internships for the earlier pass out students, there are average packages are offered by national companies, but the packages in starting are very poor, like Rs 10,000.
Infrastructure: It provides average structure and nothing special, there are 4 colleges in one campus, there are also fees different between these colleges, but they provide the same education in all college, so there is no meaning to college different higher and lower fee according to their college average.
Faculty: I would rate 4 stars because the faculty members are very responsive to their students, which is a good thing, the staff is also very acknowledged, but there is poor management of faculty members confirming to the different colleges, and exam preparation is average.

Placements and infrastructure are disappointing but the curriculum and faculty are good.
Placements: The amount of students getting placement seems to be low. The highest package was around 15 Lacs p.a. and the lowest 2-3 Lacs p.a., average being around 6 Lacs p.a. Mercedes was a recruiter last year, bringing the highest package. Honestly, only a few students get internships in this course. After graduation, mechanical engineering offers many possibilities including Aerospace engineer, automotive engineer, and many more, landing high-paying jobs in various companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average. The classrooms are well-designed. But it only has one library which might get crowded sometimes. There is only one canteen available, hence it gets really overcrowded during lunch hours. Network is a big issue and there is no Wi-Fi available on campus. Labs are also average since all the necessary instruments and machinery are present but it's outdated. The hotel is not bad, the rooms are spacious and the mess's food is not that good. The college does offer sports but it's really limited.
Faculty: The teachers are good. They are qualified and really helpful. However, I personally don't like their teaching style, lectures seem really dull. The course is affiliated with GTU so it is relevant. It has all the necessary basic materials to make a student industry-ready. The exams are difficult and the passing marks are 40%.
Other: I was always passionate about machinery since a young age which led me to choose mechanical engineering. The course is really complicated. It needs to be revised and some of the things need to be removed. The college does host fests often.

The overall experience is amazing.
Placements: Almost 70% of the students were placed, the highest package offered was 10L from byju's with an average package of 1.5L. Some of the recruiters were Byju's, Maxxis Rubber India, Cognizant. There are several roles offered, but the most common role was Graduate Engineer trainee.
Infrastructure: The facilities like library, Labs, Comp lab are in good condition with proper equipments. There is no Wi-Fi in the campus. The canteen is the best part of the college and almost everyone hangs out there throughout the day. The prices in the canteen are reasonable.
Faculty: The teachers and professors are helpful. They have a great knowledge about their subjects with industry experience. The curriculum is quite relevant, but it needs a bit of revision as the industry is changing very fast. The teachers are really helpful.

I am absolutely satisfied because of faculty members and good infrastructure provided here.
Placements: Almost 60% of the students get placed from our college, but I don't know about the average salary package offered to students in placements. Top roles offered in our course are floor in-charge and supervisor. Many companies visit our college for recruitment.
Infrastructure: Our campus is very good and has very good infrastructure. There is a library, football ground, basketball court and a ground for cricket. The campus has good parking facilities. The canteen provides food at very low cost, and the quality of the food served is also good.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are very good at their work. Their teaching skills are also very good, and they are very co-operative and helpful. They all have a good and very helpful nature, and they are ready to help at any time. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready.
