Good infrastructure, Average faculties, Good campus life.
Placements: Around 80% students are placed of my batch. Highest package in cybersecurity was around 25 LPA. There were many recruitment of different companies done in UPES. Paid internship were not given to the students. Only few students get those. Lowest package in my batch was of 3.5 LPA which was given by a mass recruitment company.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is topnotch no doubt. Faculties are good. Actually those faculties are good who are permanent, those who are scholars that is who are pursuing PHD in their respective subject, they don't know how to teach. Hostels are just ok ok according to price. Food quality is good.
Faculty: I chose specialization in cybersecurity. So in this course there is not that much to study. The semester exam were not that hard. They can be easily passed if one attended the class regularly and listened to the faculties in class what they taught.
Other: The only advice i would like to share is "STUDY HARD PARTY HARD". Everyone is in a rat race in private college. So come out of that and be the best. About events I don't know much about them. But events were organized almost every week. Big events were organized only twice a year.

All about the beautiful college: UPES.
Placements: This college provides great placement opportunities, with the highest package being 55 lacs and the median being 8 lacs per annum.
Companies that recruit are : Microsoft, IBM, Google, Wipro , Cognizant, etc.
Around 70 percent of students got placed for internships from the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent for this college, with great labs and classrooms.
The library is big and contains almost all the books and journals needed for the course.
There is a 24/7 connected WiFi facility all over the campus and hostel.
There are great facilities in the hostel, with rooms being greatly arranged, and the hostel also provides an infirmary for medical facilities and the food here is a bit off.
The taste goes sometimes okay to eat and sometimes not really eatable but the menu made is diverse and good.
Faculty: The faculties here are very qualified and really knowledgeable.
Most having degrees straight from IITs and NITs.
The course curriculum is really relevant, with subjects having on-point view of the course and many other subjects for personal development too.
The semester exams are difficult, moderate, not overly difficult, and easy to pass.
The pass percentage is 70 percent.
Other: This college provides various great events and those are really fun to be in.
Approx. 4-5 events are held in a year and they are really exciting.
Campus surroundings are also great, with campus being situated on mountains.

My life in college of UPES.
Placements: Only 70–73% of students got placed.
The average package is 800000, and the highest package is 1.3cr.
Wipro, Amazon, etc. are the top recruiters.
95% of students got internship.
After 1st year, you got your 1st social internship. In 2nd year, you got 2nd internships, and in 3rd year, you have to do many internships to get placement in 4th year.
Infrastructure: Wifi is only for studying, the labs are good and spacious, and the library is also quite large.
My hostel is average because it has 2 sharing rooms.
Food is also average my room includes an attached bathroom, 2 tables, 2 beds, and 2 wardrobes.
Mess food is sometimes yummy and sometimes not very tasty.
Faculty: Teachers all are qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is mid-average.
Yes, it helps students get industry-ready.
Semesters are very difficult and the pass percentage is likely 80%.
There are 2 exams per semester, one after 2 months of starting the semester called the midterm and the other 1.5 months later, the end-of-semester exam.
Other: I chose this course for technology indulgence
Urja is the name of our annual events. There are many activity like sports event, dancing events, etc. I like my course to have more industry indulgence.

Too Expensive for Such Quality.
Placements: Around 80% were placed. The highest package is around 50 LPA, but off-campus internships are offered by the college based on various topics. Cybersecurity, cloud computing, AI/ML, blockchain, full-stack development, web development, etc., are the courses provided.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is present, and classrooms have cameras installed. The library has a huge section with various books available. Facilities provided include a mess, game room, study tables, almirahs, washrooms, and playing areas. Medical facilities are available until 6 pm; after that, an ambulance is provided for emergencies.
Faculty: The teachers are from various domains. The course curriculum focuses more on theory rather than practical aspects. The syllabus is outdated, and the material taught is not currently used. Semesters are difficult yet basic. Industry-relevant topics should be included.

Transparency of UPES from an insider.
Placements: 100% placements are offered by UPES; however, this is only valid for students who are eligible to sit in placement sessions. The highest package was offered at 33 lakhs and the lowest was around 3-5 lakhs; the average package is around 6–8 lakhs. Students are mostly placed in internships in their 3rd year and are offered a basic stipend.
Infrastructure: 24x7 Wi-Fi is available for students on campus, the labs are well-equipped to handle modern-day tasks and the library is also very well-equipped to cater to the needs of all the students from various courses. The hostel provides all the basic amenities required by the students and the food served is good.
Faculty: The teaching faculty at UPES is knowledgeable and consists mostly of people who have completed their Ph.D. or higher degrees from IIT's and other respectable institutions. They are cooperative in nature and helpful towards the students but due to their heavy workload, they are rarely free to consult the doubts of a student separately. Exams are generally difficult and require more effort than studying in the classroom; the pass percentage is 65-75%.
Other: I chose this course because it is what would fetch me a nice job in the industry and the best thing about this course is that first it is of my interest and second, this course provides me with an opportunity to step into the computer science industry and to do something out of the ordinary.

No, they don't have a specialized course only for Forensics science instead they have a course in computer science engineering with specialization in Cyber Security and Forensics.

If you think you will achieve your goal after a drop then you should go for it. But if you have doubt about it, then you should not take the risk. And if you are getting Thapar, then go for it. Its fee is lesser than UPES and it has good placements as well. Thapar has its own reputation. After Thapa
