I had a great campus life here.
Placements: The placements are above average in our college. An average number of students were placed successfully from our batch due to the lack of core companies. The package offered is 6 LPA. Rubbco from Mumbai and Infosys was one of the highest recruiting companies. Many students, like 70-75%, got internships in different companies away from our college.
Infrastructure: The college has a great infrastructure, and the college is located in a beautiful place away from the city, which makes the place calm and peaceful. The college has two canteens with good facilities. Labs and a library are available. Medical facilities are good. The college has three table tennis courts along with carroms and a football court for our entertainment.
Faculty: The teachers were really good and helpful throughout the academics. They helped us to achieve milestones for the future. Mechanical engineering is one of the most promising courses in this area. After completing the course, the graduates can work in the same or different fields because the method of studying is great.
Other: The college life was really great and memorable. Great things happened in those times. I chose mechanical engineering by myself since I saw a great future relying on it. The management must be improved, and they have to see all the students equally.

Faculty members are good, and the campus has been average. Overall, it is a good college.
Placements: Hardly 20% of the students got placed from Shree Devi college, and core companies don't visit our college for placements. They offer a salary package of not more than 8 LPA. Infosys, Amazon, Lakshmi Kumari, IBM, CodeCraft, Tata and other local companies visit here for placements. The salary package offered in our course is 5.2 LPA. Nearly 50% of the students got internships in Mandovi Motors and NPCIL.
Infrastructure: There are proper labs in our college, but in some labs, machines won't work. The department is very helpful, and they help us very well. There is no Wi-Fi facility. Even mobile phones are not allowed, and classrooms don't have access. In the library, less books are available. The hostel is the worst in our college, and they don't serve proper food. There is only one canteen in our entire college. There are no medical facilities in our college. There is no playground for sports and also indoor games.
Faculty: In our branch, teachers are very helpful, and they help students who are very weak in studies. They all are well qualified and have a good experience. They are well knowledgeable, and they all are good. This college is not well developed, but in the future, it will surely be developed. In our course, they will conduct technical talk and industrial visit.
Other: I have chosen a mechanical course as it has a scope ever. The best thing about our course is we get to know technical things, about machine designs and in-depth knowledge about this course. I suggest that our college should provide more practical knowledge rather than the theory part. Our college organises Shree Devi Sambram and many events. Scholarships are not offered by our college. However, extracurricular activities are arranged in our college.

Excellent engineering college considering all the facilities.
Placements: In our batch, a total of 455+ students got placed in reputed companies like Infosys, 42 Hertz, Ankur Lightings, Sogefi MNR Engine System, Polycab Wires, Advance Infrastructure, United Rubber, etc. Even the last year batch had a good placement record (355). In our college, not only IT companies participated in the placement activity, core companies also selected candidates. I got placed in 2 companies i.e. Sogefi MNR Engine System and Advance Infrastructure.
Infrastructure: Shree Devi probably has a better infrastructure compared to other colleges in the Mangalore. Even though the college is not providing Wi-Fi, we have access to the Internet labs. Since the college was established 10 years ago, the labs are very good and have well- maintained equipment. The library has a large collection of books (only related to technology). There are no medical facilities. Sports and games are not good. There is no proper playground and a lack of sports kits. The canteen food is not good and the quality is also bad. Hostel rooms are good with different food every day.
Faculty: Shree Devi has excellent faculty members. Everyone is encouraging and provides proper study material. They not only share study-related information but also give guidelines about other fields as well. They use different methods depending on the subject. If I rate anything that is number one in Shree Devi, I will go for faculty members as they are awesome. An industrial visit is there at each semester from the 3rd semester onwards (most of the time to the nearest industry).
Other: Shree Devi Institute of Technology got "Excellent engineering college in Karnataka Award-2016" from the Government of Karnataka in the month of March 2016. This award is given by considering placements, infrastructure, facilities, faculty members and results. Also, the college encourages other activities like Shree Krishna Janmashtami celebration, Onam celebration, inter-college fest "Sambram", intra-college fest "Surabi", Holi celebration and different departmental activities.

Good college life but the teaching standards need to be higher.
Placements: The placements of the college were only average. It depends on in which department you have opted. A lot of opportunities have come for the computer science and information science students but mechanical and similar branches do not have such opportunities and most of us are not placed. In the entire college, a minimum of 30% students are placed which is less in comparison to the senior batch. Companies like TCS and Wipro have visited the college. The roles offered were that of Software Engineers. The internship is one thing all the students had to do, and the highest stipend was nearly 10,000.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure, on the whole, is not that bad. The college is well-equipped with WiFi and the speed is also fine. The classrooms are also well-equipped and a working projector is available. Similarly, the library also has a lot of books available to the students as well as a book bank. But, medical facilities are not provided within the college premises. Sports and games are promoted, but the quality of food available in the canteen is not so good. The hostel rooms are average and the food is not up to the expected level.
Faculty: The faculty members, on a whole, were average. There were exceptionally good ones but most of them were only average. They are having a minimum qualification of M.Tech and are knowledgeable in their own way. The kinds of teaching methods employed were textbook and power-point based, but most of them made use of powerpoint presentations. The student-faculty ratio is 45:1. The industry exposure is very little in the college., but the course was useful.
Other: The college is within Mangalore city and the mode of conveyance available is kind of good. A lot of students from south India namely Karnataka and Kerala are studying in the college. In the beginning, all of us took admission to the hostel but gradually all of us started drifting away due to the bad food available in the hostel mess. The college is not very strict as they give the students the kind of space that they need.

Other: My college is good for study purposes only. It provides good education. But some facility are not there. Infrastructure is not very good. It has some faculty who are not much experienced and also have not good knowledge in their respective fields. College environment is not good. College is near to main road so noise is there which make collage environments noisy and unlikely to study. College timing is from 10am to 5 pm.
