Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

A good college with high hopes.
Placements: Since I come from the computer engineering department, you can accept an average package of 4-5 lacs. One senior I know recently got a package of 11 Lacs. He did not do any big projects but we're honest and knew his priority. Students need to find skills themselves.
Infrastructure: Labs are in good condition, especially the library. It is very useful when exams are coming closer. Talking about hostels, they are average but I found the second-year hostel better than the first year. Now, talking about college buildings, they need renovation.
Faculty: For the first year, you will find really good faculty members. As you would come from a 12th-grade background, you will find a lot similarly. But as the time passes and you get involved in many events of your choice, you will not get the time and have to study on your own.
Other: Fests are very good and the crowd too. You will find carnival and karandak really fascinating. But since the majority are from rural backgrounds, they will not feel cool.

Fees of the college is affordable for all.
Placements: In my college, there are very few chances of getting internships. But you can sit in placement at the start of your fourth year. The major companies are Cognizant and Accenture. The average package is 4.5 Lacs, and the highest package offered is 23 Lacs. Placement is ongoing till now. Till now, the placement percentage is 70%.
Infrastructure: The campus of our college is very big and quite good in terms of greenery, but the infrastructure, buildings, and classrooms are very old. Our classrooms and buildings need to be renovated. Hostel rooms are also very old types, and there is also one biggest thing I need to say: in hostel rooms, robbery is the biggest problem.
Faculty: The professors are good; they will help you in everything you need, but the teaching will be primarily in Marathi, which makes it very difficult for the students of other states. You can request the teacher to teach in Hindi or English, but the major teaching will be in Marathi. The college is under SPPU, which means you can easily get the previous year question papers and study samples from YouTube and anywhere else, which makes it easy for students.
Other: The college is pocket-friendly for every type of student, as the fee of the college is very low as compared to other colleges. The fee of the college every year increases by 10000 to 15000. There are many scholarships available for ST/SC and OBC students, but nothing for general students.

Decent Placements and Infrastructure, Engaging Events but Curriculum Needs Updating
Placements: I’m pursuing a degree in engineering at Sinhgad College of Engineering. Around 70% of students in my course were placed, with packages ranging from 3 LPA to 12 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys, and Capgemini recruited students, offering roles such as Software Developer and QA Engineer. About 40% of students secured internships with companies like L&T and Tata Motors.
Infrastructure: The college offers well-equipped labs, spacious classrooms with projectors, and a library with a vast collection of books and journals. Wi-Fi is available across campus, though the speed can vary. Hostel facilities are decent, with clean rooms, regular maintenance, and a peaceful environment. The food quality in the mess is average but improving, while the canteen offers a wider variety of options. Medical facilities are available on campus, along with provisions for sports like cricket, football, and badminton.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, with many having industry experience. The teaching quality is decent, with a mix of theory and practical application. The curriculum is relevant and focuses on making students industry-ready, though some subjects could be updated. Semester exams are moderately difficult, and the pass percentage is generally around 75%.
Other: I chose engineering due to my interest in technology and problem-solving. The best thing about the course is the hands-on learning through projects and workshops. However, the syllabus could be updated to align more with current industry trends. Sinhgad College hosts various events and fests like Sinhgad Karandak, which brings the campus alive. The crowd is diverse, and the campus surroundings are peaceful. Connectivity is decent, and there are scholarships available for meritorious students. Extracurricular activities like sports, clubs, and cultural events help in the overall development of students.

Review of Sinhgad College of Engineering.
Placements: Students with a CGPA of 9 or higher are placed. The highest package is 45 LPA and the lowest package is 4 LPA. Program developers are the roles offered in my course, and companies like Accenture, Mahindra, and Amazon visit campus for placements at Sinhgad.
Infrastructure: In college, there is the availability of a milk parlor, a bank, Xerox, a dairy parlor, a sweet shop, a stationary shop, snack centres, a huge library with a lift, drinking water, power switches, and a study table chair for group study. Everyone loves home food, so mess food tastes like average.
Faculty: The faculty is too good and experienced. Faculty are from Maharashtra, so they can teach you in Marathi, Hindi, and English. They are so friendly and, at the same time, strict. It is not too difficult to pass a semester exam; if you attend lectures regularly, you can easily pass .
Other: Computer engineering is on the market. It means a demanding degree in its sector, and I want to work as a software engineer so I chose this degree. In Sinhgad, there are too many events and fests happening with good management and proper arrangements.

One of the best campus life experiences you will enjoy in the next 4 years of engineering.
Placements: Mostly, the placement depends on your performance and skills. About 30-40% of the students are placed from this college. The highest package I saw in recent years was around 23 LPA, and the average package is 5-6 LPA. Companies like Infosys, PTC, TCS, and Swiggy offer great packages.
Infrastructure: It is among the biggest campuses in Pune city. Good facilities like a central library, laboratories, playing grounds, huge parking, and the most adorable Cultural Centre (CC). Looking towards the hostel, it has free Wi-Fi, 2-3 times cleaning of rooms per week, along with the mess (Lunch and Dinner).
Faculty: Very helpful faculty. One teacher guardian is allocated to each and every student. They have a good knowledge of their subject and also about engineering life. Before the final exams, there is a practical examination. The passing criteria are 40%. The exam level is not too difficult, so you can easily score the passing marks.
Other: The best thing in this college is the campus and the events. Every year, there is an event called Carnival, which is very popular. There are many different clubs for extracurricular activities, such as the Google Club, Racing Club, Rocketry Club, Art & Design Club, etc. Scholarships are also provided for all the students.

Hello, getting above 60% in MHT CET is indicating that you have studied well and also score well. But in spite of this if you are interested in computer sciences engineering branch then this percentage may not get you that branch. This is so because almost every student gave this branch as the first
