My college experience and its worth.
Placements: More than 80% of students gets placed in our college. They offer 4 Lacs per annum to 22lakhs per annum. Many companies like TCS, Amazon, Google, Zogo are recurring. More than 80% got internship. A CEO, a manager, a co-worker like that.
Infrastructure: The difference between my college’s campus and the hostel is pretty huge. The campus is amazing. Big classrooms, good labs, and a well-stocked library. They’ve clearly put effort into making a great place to study, and even the sports area is well done. The hostel, though, is totally different. Rooms are cramped and kind of stuffy, maintenance is barely a thing, and basics like hot water or Wi-Fi are consistent. It’s frustrating when we’re supposed to be here to study and can’t even get a decent place to live. If they put some effort into the hostel, it’d be a lot better.
Faculty: The faculty at my college are a mixed bag. Some professors really know their stuff and make classes engaging, but others just stick to slides and lectures that get pretty dry. Curriculum-wise, it covers the basics and some important topics, but it doesn’t always feel connected to real-world stuff we’ll need on the job. It could definitely use more practical elements and updated content. Exams are generally okay, but a lot of it feels like memorizing rather than actually learning. Overall, it’s decent enough, but there’s room for improvement in teaching style, course relevance, and making exams more applied.
Other: Studying AI & this has honestly been a mixed bag for our batch, 2023-27. The curriculum is pretty solid and up-to-date, especially in areas like machine learning and big data, which gives us a good foundation for industry work. The professors are knowledgeable and genuinely try to help, though some classes feel a bit rushed. The labs are well-equipped, which is a big plus, and the college organizes a fair amount of workshops, though not all are relevant. Infrastructure-wise, there’s room for improvement. Wi-Fi can be spotty. Overall, it’s been a decent experience with lots of potential.

Great infrastructure and faculty offering a strong placement support.
Placements: Around 85-90% students get placed. The highest package offered is 10 LPA and the lowest package is 2.5 LPA. Top companies are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and Accenture. 50-60% students got internships. Top roles offered include that of Developer, System Engineer, Data Analyst, Network Engineering, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and the infrastructure for my course/department were fairly well-maintained and supportive for academic growth. The entire campus, including the departments, had reliable Wi-Fi access, making it easy for the students to work on assignments and research. The labs were well-equipped with modern tools and equipments relevant to our course, ensuring hands-on experience in various subjects. Regular updates were made to keep the facilities in line with the latest technological developments. Spacious, air-conditioned classrooms with projectors and comfortable seating were available. The environment was conducive for both lectures and interactive sessions. The college library was vast, containing a wide range of academic books, journals, and digital resources that supported our course needs. Additionally, it had extended hours of access during exams to help the students prepare. The hostels were decent with clean rooms and 24/7 electricity and water supply. The rooms were either shared or single, having common areas for relaxation and study. The food quality in the mess was average but hygienic, offering a mix of North and South Indian cuisines. The canteen had better snack options and was a popular spot for breaks. The college had an on-campus medical center for basic first aid and consultations, with an ambulance service available for emergencies. There were well-maintained grounds for outdoor games like cricket, football, and basketball, along with indoor facilities for games like table tennis and chess. Regular sports events were organized to encourage participation. Overall, the infrastructure and amenities were designed to support both academic and extracurricular activities effectively.
Faculty: The faculty and curriculum of Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College contributed significantly to the learning experience. The teachers were generally very approachable and helpful. Most had strong academic backgrounds with relevant qualifications, and many had industry experience, which added practical insights to the coursework. Their guidance extended beyond classroom learning, often helping with projects and career advice. The teaching quality was quite good overall with a focus on both theoretical concepts and practical application. The use of modern teaching aids like projectors and presentations made the learning process more interactive and engaging. However, as in any institution, the effectiveness varied slightly depending on the faculty members. The curriculum was regularly updated to match the industry standards, ensuring that the students were learning the latest technologies and practices. It covered essential subjects needed for the field, but the students also had to engage in self-learning to keep up with emerging trends. Industry exposure through internships and projects helped make the students more job-ready. The semester exams were moderately challenging, focusing on both theoretical knowledge and problem-solving skills. They were designed to test understanding rather than promoting memorization. With regular attendance and a good study routine, it was possible to do well. The pass percentage was quite high, with most students clearing exams comfortably. The average pass rate ranged between 85-90%, indicating that while the exams were not easy, they were manageable with proper preparation.

Insights on Course Structure and Faculty in Computer Science.
Placements: Nearly most of the students were placed in my batch, and it's still going on. Up to date, the highest salary was offered by Content Sack, a figure of 13 LPA. There are further more companies offering a minimum of 4 LPA. The company named Zoho took an intern from our batch, and other companies like Hexaware and Multicore also provided internships.
Infrastructure: Coming to infrastructure, I would say that it's below average. They provide Wi-Fi within the circumstances, and it's not good either. The classrooms are good. Coming to labs, it's very well-equipped with updated systems, and the library is provided with more than 10,000 books of different genres.
Faculty: The faculty was quite short. It led to difficulties in the semester and providing quality education. Not all of them are good. There are some staff who take good care of your time. The curriculum is very strict to the course perspective, and they take advantage of every program conducted through the respective departments.
Other: I've chosen Computer Science and Engineering because it's a course everyone prefers these days, and I thought it has a good future. I wish they will focus on one perspective so we can lead in that domain. If we're talking about fests and extracurricular activities, they rarely happen.

Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure with good lab facilities. There are high-quality computer labs and clean classrooms. A library is available for the students in the AI & DS block. We also have a canteen with some snacks. There are sports like basketball, cricket, and badminton. Students can join NCC for a good career.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful to students. They are well-qualified and well-educated. They provide good knowledge. They teach in a good manner. The course provides good knowledge and the curriculum is relevant. The semester exams are difficult in this college. The pass percentage is 72%.

Nice college which is student friendly.
Placements: The average percentage of students who were placed in our course is 75%. The highest salary package is 8 Lacs per annum, and the lowest package salary package is 3 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies are Tata Motors and Rolls Royce. Approximately 60% of students secured internships.
Infrastructure: There were many such facilities in the college, such as Wi-Fi access that was available. We had classrooms in all the classes, and the labs were well managed and organized with good quality chairs. There were all kinds of ways we could get hands-on experience. I don't live in a hostel because I live in my house.
Faculty: To be honest, from the mech faculty, the teachers were not so good and guided the students well, especially the HOD of the mech department, who was not at all helpful with our project submission. Also, the exams were easy, and reviewing the syllabus was good for us to be industry-ready, but it did build foundation courses for us.

Don't waste your life by joining this college.
Placements: In our college, 60% of students in our class got placed in jobs, including famous companies like Google, Zogo, TCS, etc. Not everyone gets placed because some are interested in areas other than placements. Some are rejected due to skill issues; if you have a CGPA of 9 and above, you will definitely get a placement. They even teach you and help you prepare. Many from our college have become data specialists, entrepreneurs, and managers in companies like Google, Zogo, TCS, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is excellent, but sometimes there are many damages in the roads and classrooms, which get worse when it rains. We have libraries, but they don't have a period for reading. If you are interested, you can go to the admin office, get a library pass, and use the library. Other than that, the canteen service is not as good as you might think; it feels like a scam, so choose wisely.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are really talented, while some are just not helpful and tell us to study on our own. However, many teachers in our class teach us excellently, and if you have doubts during lectures, they clear them instantly.
Other: I am a student of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and I chose this course because this is the only college near my city that offered it. However, it didn't go as well as I expected due to college timings and other concerns. The college has zero extracurricular activities, so if you want to excel in sports, please choose other colleges.
