Review of SSM College of Engineering.
Placements: Around 60 students got placed through the entrance JKCET, and few seats were reserved for fee quota. The average salary package offered was around 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Intel, Google, Amazon, Jio, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was good. I would rate it 1 star for infrastructure.
Faculty: Our teachers were less effective, and whatever they taught was irrelevant. Semester exams were conducted during winter, and it was tough for students. There were two exam papers in a single day.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it.

Our college is the best in all aspects, whether it is teaching, infrastructure or placements.
Placements: Last year, companies visited the campus and hired our senior batch students. At least 50 students of our senior batch were hired. The average salary offered was Rs. 30,000 per month. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 12,000 per month. The highest salary offered was in lacs. Companies like HCL, Ircon, BSNL, visited the campus for placements. Students are hardworking, innovative and deep thinkers. Around 99% of students got scholarships. About internships, around 50% of students are offered internships by the college. They did it successfully. During internships, the stipend offered was very good. Placement cell is not available.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is the best among all colleges in our Kashmir valley. Everything is available whether it is Wi-Fi, sports and games. Classrooms are well developed with essential gadgets. Labs are also equipped with essential equipment and devices. Food served in our college is very good, and any kind of food is available here. The college also provides hostel facility for both boys and girls, with royal rooms and good food. I am not facing any issues regarding the infrastructure of our college.
Faculty: Teachers in the college are well-qualified and helpful. They are highly knowledgeable. They use all types of teaching methods. We visited different industries for industry exposure, and it was useful. They use projectors to show 3D objects clearly and to understand them bit by bit.
Other: Our campus is more inclined towards extracurricular activities. The campus crowd is lovely. The campus surroundings are environment-friendly.

The college is not much good for studies and placements.
Placements: None of the companies visited the campus for placements. The college doesn't support to improve placements. Faculty members are not up to the mark. The college hires low-quality faculty, not intelligent ones. The college management is not cooperative with students. They try to collect money from students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. It is good only in the sense of vision, but not for learning. Labs are not good, and teachers don't have the ability to perform practicals. These labs are only for show off, and not for learning. Classrooms are good. Sports and games facilities are available. Events are held from time to time.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are not up to the mark. Majority of the faculty members are below average. However, some are good. They use just an academic type of teaching method and not a professional method. Industry exposure provided is nil. There are enough faculty members but are not helpful. The college needs to improve its faculty team.
Other: Events are held in the college.
