Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Is it Worth Pursuing B.E./B.Tech at Theem College of Engineering?

Based on the reviews and feedback from current and former students, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:
* Good infrastructure, including libraries, laboratories, and recreational spaces
* Helpful and qualified teachers, although some may have a strict teaching style
* Opportunities for extracurricular activities, events, and festivals
* Location is convenient, with proximity to industrial zones and employment hubs
* Scholarships available for deserving students

Cons:
* Faculty turnover and a lack of experienced teachers
* Limited practical training and exposure to industry
* Poor placement records, with low salaries and limited job opportunities
* Limited availability of resources, including Wi-Fi and functional laboratory equipment
* High fees, with no significant financial aid or discounts
* Strict rules and regulations, requiring written permissions for minor tasks

Teaching Quality:
While some teachers are qualified and helpful, others may have a rigid teaching style or incomplete qualifications. Practical training and hands-on learning could improve significantly.

Placement Records:
Placement rates are low, with limited job opportunities and low salaries. Off-campus drives may be more successful, but these are rare.

Infrastructure and Facilities:
The college has decent infrastructure, including libraries, laboratories, and recreational spaces. However, Wi-Fi connectivity is non-existent, and some laboratory equipment is outdated or dysfunctional.

In conclusion, while Theem College of Engineering has its strengths, particularly in infrastructure and faculty, it faces significant challenges in providing meaningful practical training, adequate resources, and strong placement records. Prospective students should carefully weigh these factors before making an informed decision.

The staff here is very supportive and talented. Teaching can be better.

The best college in Mumbai. A very helpful and the best college for students' bright future.
Placements: MNCs like TCS hired many students, and the average salary offered was Rs. 25,000 for freshers. Other companies like Parametric and Sankey Solutions visited our college to hire students. They are well-reputed companies for freshers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is awesome, and the labs are well-arranged. Our library is well-maintained. Sports events are well-organised, and the classrooms are well-managed. Internet connectivity is provided for each student, and we have individual PCs to perform each programme and all experiments.
Faculty: All the staff members of the IT department are very helpful, and they give us their best knowledge regarding each subject. Staff members generally use reference books for each topic. They also use PPTs and presentations with diagrams to help students understand all the concepts clearly.
Other: All the technical events are organised, and the campus crowd is excellent.

The infrastructure and faculty in our college are good.
Placements: Placements in our college are provided mostly through on-campus drives, but our TPO helps us to attend off-campus drives too. Our seniors were offered the package of 3.2 LPA by major multinational companies. However, we are offered a package of 3.6 LPA by TCS this year. Most of the students were placed through on-campus drives with an average package of 2.1-2.8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is huge. There are four buildings with spacious classrooms and dynamic labs. The library has a massive set of books related to technical and non-technical courses which can help the students to explore the world for new generations. There is no medical room, but a basic medical kit is always available. Our college has a large and awesome ground in the entire Mumbai University. Especially, this college focuses more on sports and cultural activities.
Faculty: Teachers are most helpful and knowledgeable, but they teach according to the instructions of Mumbai University. Only a few practical sessions are conducted. The faculty members are very helpful and help us in gaining knowledge. Every faculty is well qualified with a masters degree. They have the prefered attitude towards us that makes us more innovative and calm
Other: Events like Jash-n-Theem and others are conducted in our college. All the students from Mumbai University attend the fest. The campus is huge enough that every student can enjoy the fests. We get to enjoy many activities including sports, techfest, data science etc.
