A college with a good ROI and decent placements and established name.

Placements: In our senior batch I. e. batch of (2016-18), the average package was around 7.7-8.2 and the highest package was 46 Lacs p. a. offered by Tolaram group an FMCG company. Banking and financial services were the main sectors in which about 38% of the batch was placed it was followed by FMCG, Consulting, IT and other sectors. I am moderately satisfied because of the faculty and good placements in 2017.

Placements: The placements here are good. One gets good ROI. But, the placements for HR batch proves to be a bit difficult, though at last, everyone gets placed. The summer placements here are getting better. This year, our placement cell was able to pitch in more companies. So, hopefully, next year, it proves to be better for our juniors.

The oldest and the best college of North India.

Placements: The placement cell is student-driven, and therefore the placements vary every year. Still, the average placements can be said to be around 8 lacs per annum. If we compare the ROI, it has the best placements. The organisations like Trident, Kotak Mahindra, KPMG, IBM, Infosys are frequent recruiters of this college.

Economical. You can do whatever you can here.

Placements: As of now, 97% of our students have been placed and others have got off-campus offers. The highest CTC offered was 15 lakhs/annum by Religare Finvest. Profiles offered are mostly sales, some research analyst and 2 to 3 risk management profiles. The average package was 7.3 lakhs/annum and the lowest was 5.9 lakhs/annum. E&Y, KPMG, Mahindra & Mahindra, HDFC, Cafe Coffee Day Group, ITC Hotels, ICICI Prudential Life, Finxera, Smart Cube, TCS and much more. A total of 40 companies visited for 117 stu...

A college with a good ROI factor and qualified faculty.

Placements: The placements for my senior batch were very good. More than 70% of the batch was placed during the placement week itself. Some big brand names visited the campus. The placements in my batch took a hit because of some external environmental changes, but most of the students were placed.

UBS has a good infrastructure. It has a well-qualified facility. The college has a good reputation and a good brand image. The college provides the environment to take up new things, such as research projects. It has a library but its books are not of the latest edition, the books must be up to date. The good thing about the department library is that it remains open on Saturdays and Sundays. The presentations given by the teachers builds the confidence in the students. The college is above average. ROI is very good and placements are also fine. But there is no corporate culture here as is present in other good B-schools. Also it is a student driven college, students themselves have to put efforts for organizing various events and functions here.

UBS may not be an IIM but according to me it is an ideal MBA college standing firmly on shoulders of alumnus, teachers and students. It provides one of the best faculties with ample of experience and that too in such a reasonable fees. Where every college is demanding 10- 15 lac for an MBA course, and at UBS it costs just around 70,000. Due to the name of Panjab University attached to it, it is a brand in North India which attracts enough companies for placements to get all its students placed a...

College is mostly student driven. Very long and good base of alumni. Good working environment, hardworking and experienced faculty members, overall a good motivating environment to work hard and achieve your dreams. Equal weightage to both internal and external studies. Placements and summer internship are very promising. Helps in building overall development not just cramming books builds both theory and practical knowledge.

A good place to get higher return on your investment. Faculty members are experienced, knowledgeable and helpful. It lacks diversity as other b schools do not lack because of the crowd of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh which results in limited exposure. Placements are above average. Campus environment is too good.

This is one of the best returns on Investment College, because the fee is only 30000 per year. Here, infrastructure is not so good because of it being a govt. organization. Faculty is very good and experienced; the average package is 7.2 Lakh. The campus "Punjab university" is so good in terms of crowd and its culture.

UBS, PU does not have good computer labs; we don't have very good classrooms, no proper seating place, and no canteen of the department. We have really good teachers; most of them are PhD. holders. We don't have B School like environment. We have to do everything by ourselves. It is totally a government college, everything is student driven, and teachers don't support anything. ROI is really appreciable.

Classes at UBS are interactive in nature and are a healthy mix of formal lectures, case studies, and presentations. An equal weightage of 50% is given to both internal and external exams. Tests are conducted on a regular basis. There is a good mix of students from different parts of the country. Students have a very healthy atmosphere to learn and interact here. Seniors are supportive and there is no kind of ragging done here. The placement cell at IIFT is very robust. The average package offe...

I would say UBS is worth if you are looking for Return on Investments. In fact it is one of the top b-school in terms of ROI. I will talk about few parameters to review UBS in a better way. Placements: The placements in UBS is a collective efforts of students and no faculty involvement is there. Average salary hovers around 6-7 lakhs per annum. Infrastructure: As this is a government institute and fees is also minimal, expecting too much for it would not be right. Faculty and Quality of teaching...

University Business School (UBS), established in 1968, is located in Chandigarh and draws its academic resources of Panjab University while maintaining a distinct identity of its own. The rechristening of the Department of Commerce and Business Management as University Business School (UBS) in 1995 by the Panjab University, symbolises the recognition of completeness and maturity of the Department as a center of management education in India. The transformation from a Department to a school has g...

Placements: The placement is one of the best in India. Being an IIT describers that, this year top placement from mathematics computing about 1.38 crore per year. Moreover the average placement of CSE are good around 25 LPA. The average package is given by MNC is 19 LPA. For the electronics students, is around 14 LPA -15 LPA.
