Satisfied with faculty, infrastructure, labs and other facilities.
Placements: The placement records are mind-blowing. The percentage of students get placed is 98% (B.E and M.E). The placement opportunities are very good for the B.E students. M.E students also get a chance to participate in a good number of drives (through college) but the number of selections is less. This is because most of the master students are much more interested in PSUs and government services. Many M.E students later get placed in PSUs and government sectors. The average salary offered is around 3.5 lakhs per annum (all the B.E and M.E courses). The civil students also get good packages. Many core companies (construction industry) visit the campus. Also, a good number of students get placed in core companies. Placement training is good and the placement office staff are very friendly. The college has got its own placement portal. (http://oucecareers.org/) The college placement team has developed its own mobile app. Through this mobile app, the students get various updates on placements.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are very spacious. The M.E classrooms are provided with good facilities. The entire college has got WiFi facility. Many computer labs are provided with the good speed of the internet. Computer labs are equipped with a good number of computers and the internet. The labs are excellent. The labs are well equipped, they are good enough for B.E students but not for M.E students. The labs should be upgraded. Enough software packages are not available. But the college has got some basic software packages with may meet the needs of the students (not sufficient for Research and Development). The canteen is too small. This may be due to the availability of mess facility for hostel boarders (most of the students are hostel boarders). The mess food is hygienic. The hostel facility is good and the hostel boarders are provided with good Wi-Fi facility and mess facility. The college has got the departmental libraries, Diamond Jubilee Library ( College Library) and Central library. The Departmental Libraries are provided with all the basic textbooks required for reference, previous dissertations, journals, and proceedings. The Diamond Jubilee Library is facilitated with many textbooks, reading hall, reference section and journals wing. Till now no infrastructure related issues were faced by the students. There is separate Infrastructure Maintenance team which takes care of the infrastructure. Sports activities are less in the college.
Faculty: The faculty is very friendly. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The faculty to student ratio is 1:10. The students are encouraged t participate in many of the international and nation conferences. The students frequently undergo industrial training, so that they get good experience and get placed in core companies. The college always updates its course curriculum into a better one.
Other: This University College of Engineering is of the colleges of Osmania University. Many people are on a wrong track that Osmania University is full of political issues, rebels and bandhs. This may be true. But we never noticed violence near our college. The university runs fine.
