Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   I got 14513 rank in TS EAMCET (obc). Can I get seat in JNTUH.

A:
Based on the previous year's cutoff, a rank of 14513 in TS EAMCET under the OBC category may not be sufficient to get a seat in the B.Tech programs at JNTUH. However, the cutoff varies every year, and it is difficult to predict the exact cutoff for the current academic year. The cutoff for admission to the B.Tech programs at JNTUH through TS EAMCET varies every year and depends on various factors such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, the availability of seats, and the category of the candidate. It is difficult to predict the exact cutoff for the current academic year. However, based on the previous year's cutoff, the minimum TS EAMCET rank required for admission to the B.Tech programs at JNTUH was around 20,000 to 25,000 for the general category, and for the OBC category, the cutoff was around 30,000 to 35,000. Please note that the cutoff varies every year, and it is advisable to check the official website of JNTUH or the TS EAMCET counselling website for the latest cutoff ranks. Also, meeting the cutoff rank does not guarantee admission to the programme as the final seat allotment depends on the availability of seats, the candidate's preference, and other factors.

This is a good platform to get more opportunities.
Placements: Actually doing M.Tech is a good thing because you get more opportunities compared to the course of B.Tech. We can get an easy job here with a good package. The highest package offered was 70 LPA and the lowest package was 10 LPA. The average package was between 10-30 LPA. Most of the product based companies visit to recruit us.
Infrastructure: In this University, the infrastructure is too good having separate blocks, enough computers and other things in the labs along with being air conditioned. Classrooms are so pleasant and neatly maintained. Wi-Fi is available across the campus. Hostel is available for both the genders.
Faculty: Most of the faculty had Ph.D. with some professors teaching regular academics. Some extra courses are taught by the other faculty members. Every teacher has enough knowledge about what they teach. The best thing I like in them is that they don’t seek any reference while teaching, they teach based on their experience.

Placements and infrastructure are good.
Placements: Companies like Microsoft, Google, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, HDFC and others visit for recruitments. The scenario is good with attracting top companies. A significant portion of around 60-80% secures internships in companies like TCS and Flipkart, with roles in software engineering.
Infrastructure: The facilities, while not being exceptional, are functional. Lab equipments are available providing digital classrooms and a well stocked library. The hostel provides good security and safety and the mess maintains food quality and hygiene. Sports activity are conducted weekly.
Faculty: The faculty is educated and experienced. Only a few teachers are highly qualified and helpful, with varying levels of knowledge. The syllabus covers all the topics. The course curriculum offers electives and value based courses which play a good role in shaping the mindset and making the students industry ready.
