    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is it worth pursuing B.E./B.Tech at University College of Engineering (UCOE)?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what we've gathered:

    Placements:
    * Almost all students are placed, with a median salary package of INR4 LPA to INR5 LPA.
    * Top recruiters include Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Larsen and Turbo.
    * Good opportunities exist for internships, with around 50% to 60% of students securing internships.
    * Average salary package for CSE students is INR3.5 LPA, with the highest package reaching up to INR20 LPA.

    Infrastructure and Facilities:
    * Well-equipped labs with air-conditioners and projectors.
    * Wi-Fi connectivity available throughout the campus, although signal strength may vary.
    * Libraries and hostels are well-maintained, with comfortable living conditions.
    * Medical facilities are readily available within the campus.

    Teaching Quality:
    * Teachers are knowledgeable, helpful, and cooperative, providing guidance and support to students.
    * Course curriculum is relevant, with a mix of theoretical and practical components.
    * Semester exams are manageable, with most students able to pass with decent grades.

    Campus Life:
    * Friendly and supportive environment, with various extracurricular activities and fests organized regularly.
    * Good network connections with alumni and professionals in the industry.

    Challenges:
    * Limited Wi-Fi coverage in hostels.
    * Slow internet speeds reported by some students.
    * Some students may find certain courses or subjects challenging.

Overall, pursuing a B.E./B.Tech degree at UCOE appears to be a worthwhile investment, considering the strong placement record, good infrastructure, and supportive academic environment. However, individual results may vary depending on factors such as student effort, choice of electives, and personal interests.

I am not satisfied because of the environment.
Placements: In our college, almost all students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 40 LPA off-campus and 12 LPA on campus. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA to 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Infosys, etc., visit our campus. Almost 50% of students get internships. Top role offered is a web developer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus, but the signal is weak and sometimes slow. Air-conditioners are available in labs and libraries. Classrooms are well-ventilated and huge. The library is excellent and huge. Hostels are near the UCOE department for both boys and girls.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful and well-qualified. They are knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is mostly theory-based and not practical. Semester exams are easy. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: Our college celebrates a few events.

Our college has average infrastructure and provides good teaching.
Placements: Around 50% to 60% of students get placed in our college with an average salary package of 4 LPA to 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc. Top roles offered are software engineer, software analyst, etc. Few students of our college get internships. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA and the lowest salary package s 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our department consists of labs, Wi-Fi, classrooms, a library, etc., that have the average infrastructure. Food served in canteens is good. Medical facilities are provided separately at the dispensary which is 1 minute away from the department. Labs have computers.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are qualified, knowledgeable, and very helpful. They teach well and focus on teaching. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are easy if students study well.
Other: I chose this course as I want to do engineering. The best thing about our course is that students get exposure to several things in their life being an engineer and can work in different dimensions.

    I’m more disappointed than happy.
Placements: Not many placement options are there in PUP for B.Tech. Last year only 3 companies visited and only 12 students were placed. Top recruiting company is Solitaire Infosys. Students from my course which is ECE (electronic and communications) got internships in Solitaire Infosys and Novem Controls.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are well structured and so are the labs. WiFi is provided in labs only and in a few of the classrooms as well. Hostels are not so good here, they are not well kept and drainage and water problems are constant. The campus cameras do not work properly and no security is provided to the students.
Faculty: The faculty is great. The teachers are helpful and are ready to assist you in any situation making the students industry ready. They have relevant subjects added to the course like communication skills and many more. The placements cell starts interviews from 2nd year itself to make you ready. Exams here are moderate and not so hard to crack.
Other: Many other things happen here along with studies like events being organised to make students comfortable. Crispolatia, sports events, study related events, and entrepreneurship events are held at regular intervals.

It is a good university for engineering, and the fee is affordable.
Placements: The placements are good for CSE, ECM, and ECE students. There are no placements for civil and mechanical students. The average package is 10-12 LPA for computer engineering students, and the maximum package is 35 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Infosys etc. On average, 75% of students got internships in their 8th semester.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our university is very good. There are many parks and canteens and big stadiums for extracurricular activities. There is also a night reading hall and a big library which is open 24 hours for students. The engineering department is very good, and there are around 900 rooms, including labs for every subject like computer programming labs etc.
Faculty: The teachers are very good and cooperative, and all the professors are Ph.D. holders and are very helpful. There are two MSTs of 15 marks each and 50 marks for semester exams. There are also lab exams. Exams are very easy, and the teachers always complete the syllabus on time.

It is the best university for sports.
Placements: The placements are good in our college. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. Almost 70-80% of students got their desired position and got good placements. There are also many roles provided by our university to get our desired positions. Our university is best in the Patiala.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are not so good in our college. The bathrooms are dirty and not cleaned because the government-granted drinking water is not so good. Wi-Fi is available in our university but the Wi-Fi range is so small that only the reading hall has Wi-Fi. The entire campus does not have a good Wi-Fi range.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good in our college. Some of the professors are absolutely great and they give their best to the students. The professors are very peaceful and kind-hearted. They also get good wages as well for doing so much for students. They are knowledgeable but some are very rude.
Other: The crowd is top-notch. The college is very familiar with poor people's studies as they give scholarships to their students.

It has good campus life and hostels.
Placements: The average salary package after B.Tech in CSE is 3.5 LPA and the highest salary package offered is 15 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Many students join various groups and do internships on their own and do self-study mostly for placements.
Infrastructure: Hostel is well-maintained and all the facilities of the hostel are good. Wi-Fi facility is also available in the hostel but there is no reading room in the hostel. Mess food is good and satisfactory. The washrooms are not good and the rest everything is fine. Rooms depict students' enjoyment and fun.
Faculty: The course is interesting and futuristic. The course should be more practical than theoretical. Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The course is relevant but one or two subjects are not relevant. Semester exams are a little bit tough but can be passed by doing a one-night study. The passing percentage is above 80%. Students need to be self-dependent.
