B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2024
Offered by University College of Engineering
3.4

It is the best university for sports.
Placements: The placements are good in our college. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. Almost 70-80% of students got their desired position and got good placements. There are also many roles provided by our university to get our desired positions. Our university is best in the Patiala.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are not so good in our college. The bathrooms are dirty and not cleaned because the government-granted drinking water is not so good. Wi-Fi is available in our university but the Wi-Fi range is so small that only the reading hall has Wi-Fi. The entire campus does not have a good Wi-Fi range.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good in our college. Some of the professors are absolutely great and they give their best to the students. The professors are very peaceful and kind-hearted. They also get good wages as well for doing so much for students. They are knowledgeable but some are very rude.
Other: The crowd is top-notch. The college is very familiar with poor people's studies as they give scholarships to their students.

A good life experience in UCOE.
Placements: Placement for mechanical is not good. Depends on the student, weather he wants to be placed or not, because mostly companies are IT companies like Infosys, which is a mass recruiter. Mechanical companies are very few and they place only few students (like 5-10 students). In my batch around 50%students got placed.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Full campus is Wi-Fi. AC reading room available, which opens till 2 am in night. For girls hostel gates are closed at 8 pm. As you may heard Punjabi University is best in sports, all games are available. Sports persons are exempted from fees.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good. Generally depends on student weather he wants to learn or not. Most Teachers give there best, except few who only teach from books. There are two training periods in whole course in which students go in industries and make some project. But there is no regular industry visits in course.
Other: Campus is very good, must visit once. In evening time atmosphere in the campus is very pleasant. It is not much crowded. Also it is outside of the city Patiala. Market is a bit far like 5-6 km.

A good decent college but there is a lot to improve in teachers quality.
Placements: The placements are bad for mechanical engineering. There are only 1 or 2 core companies that come for the placements. Asahi and Mazda motors. For the CSE, the placements are good, but for mechanical, it is very difficult. The students for streams other than CSE also get a chance to get the placements in IT company like Infosys which mass recruiters. The highest package is 6 LPA (Mazda motors)& minimum is 2.2 LPA (Asahi).
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. There is a good workshop available for mechanical students. There is only one building (9 storeys) which has all the departments. There is no Wi-Fi in the engineering department. The classrooms and labs are good. The food in the canteen is good. The hostel rooms are also good, but two students live in a single room.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are good and knowledgeable. But most of the mechanical teachers are very poor in teaching. They don't have the basic knowledge of mechanical. The teaching quality of some teachers is very good. They use projectors to teach. There is no industry exposure. The course curriculum is very well-planned and good, but teachers are not good.
Other: Our fest name is Crispolaitiea, which is both cultural and technical fest. It is super awesome. Just one word "AWESOME". The campus crowd is very classic. There are very chances for extra-curricular activities like dancing, singing, modelling. The campus surroundings are very calm and quiet as it is out of the city.

I love my college and university
Placements: Many placement drives happen here. But the selection is based on your capability. Companies that came here keep their aspirations high. Due to the university's status, it becomes important for you to act properly.
Many companies like Mahindra, Indian Army, etc. visit for placements.
Infrastructure: Amazing infrastructure.
24 hrs electricity,
Water supply,
Wi-Fi,
Air-conditioning facility,
large grounds for every sport,
air-conditioned labs,
canteen,
Well-furnished campus, etc. are available.
A market is there nearby.
Gurudwara Sahib and Gita Mandir are also nearby.
There are many auditoriums.
Faculty: Helpful and accountable faculty.
They are well-educated and keen to solve the problems. They are well-behaved, experienced, understandable,
disciplined and have excellent communication skills.
They are dedicated to their work.
They have full access and knowledge about their subjects.
They are fully supportive.
Other: There are many different extracurriculum clubs for your hobbies like dance clubs, singing clubs, photography clubs, and many more.
The best thing is that if you want to try something new that could be successful, discuss it with the faculty and they will help you with everything.
Feasts, fairs, fetes, festivals, etc. Everything is celebrated amazingly.
