B.E./B.Tech at Watumull Institute of Electronics Engineering and Computer Technology: A Good Choice?

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Teaching Quality:
* Experienced and highly qualified faculty members (rated 8/10)
* Professors bring industry knowledge to the classroom
* However, some teachers may not be well-trained or skilled in teaching

Placement Scenario:
* Average placement record, with around 10% of students getting placed
* the highest package offered: INR6 LPA
* the lowest package offered: INR2 LPA
* Average package offered: INR3 LPA
* Limited internship opportunities, requiring self-application

Infrastructure:
* Average infrastructure, with some areas needing improvement
* Functional classrooms and laboratories, but lacking modern amenities
* Decent library with book collections, but lacks digital resources and newer publications
* Shared canteen facilities with nearby colleges

Campus Life:
* Disappointing campus life with inadequate student facilities and limited extracurricular activities
* Campus crowd is decent, except for some wealthy students
* No hostel facilities available

Considering these factors, we cannot conclude that pursuing a B.E./B.Tech degree at Watumull Institute of Electronics Engineering and Computer Technology is a "good" choice without considering individual preferences and priorities. While the institution offers experienced faculty and decent infrastructure, the placement record leaves much to be desired. Additionally, the campus life seems limited, and hostel facilities are non-existent.

If you're interested in studying electronics engineering and computer technology, weigh these pros and cons carefully before making a decision. Consider visiting the campus, speaking with current students and faculty members, and researching alternative institutions to make an informed choice.

Our college provides good placements.
Placements: Placements provided in our college are average. The recruiting companies are TCS, Capgemini, Accenture, GVM Tech, Virtual, LTI, Wipro, Hexaware, etc. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA and the average salary package is 3.6 LPA. Students have to maintain more than a 6.7 CGPA to get internships and placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good with a 7-floor building and 2 elevators. All the necessary labs are available with the required material. Wi-Fi is not available on campus but it is available in the CS labs and library. All the floors are well maintained. Computers in all the labs are working well and are well-equipped with the latest software.
Faculty: Our college follows the course curriculum of Mumbai University. First-semester exams are difficult but other semester exams are averagely difficult. The pass percentage is 30%.
Other: I chose this course because of my passion for coding. The best thing about this course is students get placements if they study well. Our college fee is Rs.1,55,916. Scholarships are provided for general category students. Around 50% of fee reimbursement for EBC students from the Maharashtra government. All the other cultural activities, including cultural events, sports day, Bollywood day, dance, etc., take place. Technical clubs and hackathons are organised.

I would not recommend you to join this college if you have good marks.
Placements: Only 20–25 students get placed out of 60–80. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA-5 LPA and the highest is around 6 LPA. Top recruiters include companies like TCS, Wipro, Deloitte, etc. The college doesn't provide internships. Students need to prepare on their own for internships and job interviews. No guidance is provided by the college.
Infrastructure: Its infrastructure is not proper. Rooms and labs are not properly ventilated. Old computers are not working most of the time. The college has 7 floors. The elevators do not work properly. Plaster from the walls is removed, and water drips from the top of the room in the rainy season.
Faculty: Teachers are not well trained and good at teaching. They know nothing about the new subjects they are teaching. Students are forced by their teachers to take optional subjects against their will. Most teachers force students to attend lectures daily. 33 mark out of 80 is required to pass the semester exams.

Dissatisfied because of placement cell is not active.
Placements: Unfortunately, the placement cell in Watumull institute of electronic engineering and computer technology has several shortcoming. The overall placement scenario is below average, and many students struggle to secure desirable positions in top companies. The college has limited connections with some companies, which significantly reduces the job opportunities available to students 1. Around 10 percent of students get placed. 2. The highest package is around 6 LPA the lowest package is around 2 LPA average package is around 3 LPA. 3. college doesn't provide any internship opportunities to students; they have to apply themselves in different companies and get the internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Watumull Institute of Electronic Engineering and Computer Technology is average, with several areas that could be improved to better support the students educational experiences. The classroom and laboratories are functional but lack modern amenities. Many of the facilities are outdated. The college library has a decent collection of books and resources but fails in terms of digital resources and newer publications. The college doesn't have its own canteen; the students have to share the common canteen at 5 different colleges together. And also, colleges don't have hostels.
Faculty: The faculty at Watumull Institute of Electronic Engineering and Computer Technology is commendable, with a good emphasis on both academic excellence and practical learning. The professors are experienced and highly qualified, bringing a wealth of industry knowledge to the classroom. The teachers are very helpful here. I would rate the teaching quality of the faculty at 8 out of 10. This course is a little bit difficult. Engineering is not everyone's cup of tea; it is to be done with dedication. The pass percentage in our college is about 50%. .
Other: The campus life at this college is disappointing, characterized by adequate student facilities and limited extracurricular activities. These shortcomings contribute to a dull and unsatisfactory student experience. I chose this course because, in today's high-tech world, it is a necessity to have knowledge about technology. College Fest happens in March every year, known as ENSEMBLE, and the Teach Fest is organised by the college, known as TECHNOKRUTI. Sports are also conducted in college every year for about 2 to 3 days. The campus crowd is not much.

It is average & you can get admitted here if you don't have a good score on the entrance exam.
Placements: Placements in our college are average. Out of 60-70 eligible students, around 30-40 students get placed with an average salary package varying from 3 LPA to 4 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Zeus Learning, etc., visited our campus. I would recommend trying for an off-campus placement because it gives better salary packages than campus placements if you are good to find one.
Infrastructure: The college was located in Worli initially but it is now shifted to Ulhasnagar. The building is of seven floors. Two courses are available 'computer engineering' and 'electronics and telecommunication engineering. The library is vast and there are a lot of books available. Labs also have sufficient PCs available for practicals. Wi-Fi facility is not available. Classrooms are in good condition with projector and whiteboards. Canteen facility is not available but outside the campus gate, you will get all the food restaurants. College is located on the CHM campus which is just a 2-3 minutes walkable distance from Ulhasnagar Railway Station.
Faculty: Teachers of our college are well qualified and some have completed their Ph.D. degrees. Some faculty members are very good in terms of helpfulness and teaching. Some teachers don't have good teaching skills. The course pattern is according to the Mumbai University curriculum. There are 80 marks for the semester exam as per the curriculum and 20 marks internal test.

It is a moderate college and it provides all the average facilities.
Placements: Around 60-70% of eligible students get placed and few students who are not eligible get placed on open criteria. The highest salary package offered is 5.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is around 2.8 LPA. The average salary package offered was around 3.5 LPA. Almost 8-10 students get placed in LTI, and 8 students got placed in Infosys and all other companies hired 1 or 2 students each.
Infrastructure: Labs of our college are very limited and many of the computers are not working are not up to the standard of minimum requirements. There is no provision of Wi-Fi. All classrooms are not air-conditioned and there is a moderate quality of benches. The library is of adjustable size with a good collection of books but books should be updated and increased in quantity as during exams many students don't get the books issued due to scarcity of the books.
Faculty: Teachers of our college are qualified but not much when it comes to teaching skills. Many teachers have a very low voice, thus making it difficult to understand in the classroom. Some faculty members are very good in terms of helpfulness and teaching. The course curriculum is as per Mumbai University, and I am not sure if it is making students industry-ready.
Other: My interest in computers made me chose this course, and my marks got me landed in this college. Fests and events held are a myth here. Every year they are organised by the student committee but the majority of students don't actively participate in the events thus making them boring.

Although Watumull College is Good
Placements: The percentage of students getting placed is around 50 to 60% in Watumull. The highest package in Watumull is around 7 to 8 Lacs, and the average package is around 3 Lacs. The top recruiting companies are LTI, Infosys, Zeus, and others. Around 35 to 40 students get internships from the Computer Engineering course in Watumull.
Infrastructure: The faculty of Watumull College is good, and the teaching and non-teaching staff are polite and helpful. There are different types of labs for computer programming, chemistry, and also a library where we have Wi-Fi. There is no hostel in Watumull College. The food quality in the canteen is good, and medical faculty members are also there. As for sports and games, it's okay.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. They help students personally with their work and assignments. Also, the teaching quality is awesome. The semester exams are quite difficult due to the limited amount of time in the first year, but they can be cleared if we do regular studies.
Other: There are events also conducted in Watumull College, such as Teach Fest, and they also celebrate festivals like Navratri and others.
