Tips to Crack UCEED 2025 In 90 Days

The UCEED 2025 exam will be held on January 19 (9 am-12 noon). The exam will be held in 27 cities across the country. The name and address of the exam center will be mentioned on the admit card. Here we bring you tips to prepare for the exam in the last few months.

IIT Bombay will conduct the UCEED 2025 exam on January 19 (9 am - 12 noon). The exam will be administered in a center-based mode. Part A of the exam will be held online, whereas Part B will be offline-based. Also, Part B answer booklets will be evaluated only if the candidate meets the Part A - UCEED 2025 cut-off. On the day of the exam, the candidate must reach the UCEED 2025 exam center at 7 am. The reporting time will be mentioned on the UCEED 2025 admit card along with the detailed exam-day guidelines. It is recommended the candidate reaches the exam center on time to avoid exam-day blues. As the UCEED 2025 exam dates are near, it is time to do the best study preparations to ace the exam in 90 days or less. UCEED 2025 Exam Pattern & Marking

The UCEED 2025 exam paper format has been released by its official site. Take these points into consideration before preparing for the exam:

  • The UCEED 2025 exam will be in English only.
  • The question paper will be of three hours. 
  • The total mark weightage is 300 marks.
  • There will be two parts of the question paper: Part A and Part B. And the marking is given according to the same:

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice. 

Q:   Can I get MTech in IIT Bombay with GATE?

A:

Yes, GATE score is required to get admission to IIT Bombay course. However, aspirants who have not qualified GATE can also get admission based on written test conducted by the institute. The shortlisted candidates are further called for a personal interview round. In order to be eligible to apply for the course, an aspirant must have a BE/ BTech/ BSc/ Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning/ MSc/ MCA/ MBBS/ MPharm/ BPharm/ BDS/ degree recognised equivalent to BE/ BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category) earned through Associate Membership Examinations conducted by recognised professional bodies to apply for MTech course.

Q:   What is one year study plan for UCEED entrance exam?

If the candidate has an year in their hands to prepare for the UCEED exam, then they need to follow these steps: Make a study plan Carefully go though the syllabus and exam pattern; note that the syllabus has been revised for UCEED 2024. Make sure that you get the book combination right. When studying, make it a point to take notes. Side by side with reading books, solve problem Sets. Solve sample paper and take mock tests. Considering you have one year in your hands, if need be, you can tweak your preparation strategy midway to meet requirements.

NOTE: 2 hours will be given to finish Part A & 60 minutes will be provided for Part B. UCEED 2025 Part-A of the examination is computer-based and no re-totaling is allowed. Part B will have two questions which is going to be manually checked.

UCEED 2025 Part-A will have the following topics:

  • Visualization and spatial reasoning: Ability to visualize and transform 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships.
  • Practical and scientific knowledge: Know-how of scientific principles and everyday objects.
  • Observation and design sensitivity: The capacity to detect concealed properties in daily life and think critically about them. Attention to detail, classification, analysis,
    inference, and prediction.
  • Environment and society: General awareness of environmental, social, and cultural connections with design.

  • Language: Proficiency in reading and comprehending Standard English.

UCEED 2025 Part-B will have one question from the given topic:

  • Drawing: Ability to draw products, people or scenes in proportion with good line quality, composition, proportion, perspective, and shading.
  • Design aptitude: Capability to practically and appropriately respond to problems/situations with ingenuity and empathy

Q:   Is GATE required for PhD in IIT Bombay?

A:

GATE is one of the entrance exams for PhD admission. However, aspirants can also get admission in PhD based on CSIR NETCEEDUGC NET or written test conducted by the institute. The shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview round for final selection. Along with GATE score, candidates also need to fulfil the eligibiltiy requirements. Aspirants must complete Bachelor or Masters or equivalent degree in Engineering/ Technology or master's or equivalent degree in Science or Arts/ Commerce with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category) for PhD admission.

Q:   Which exam score is accepted for IIT Bombay admissions for the M.Tech course?

A:

IIT Bombay accepts GATE score for admission to MTech course. Candidates must have a BE/ BTech/ BSc/ Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning/ MSc/ MCA/ MBBS/ MPharm/ BPharma/ BDS/ degree recognised equivalent to BE/ BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category). For MTech General-All India, cut offs for GATE 2024 closed off at score 600 for MTech in Chemical Engineering and 750 for Computer Science and Engineering. Similarly, for MTech in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, the GATE score closed off on 650

Q:   Who is eligible for BDes in IIT Bombay?

A:

A minimum of Class 12 is required to apply for BDes course at IIT Bombay. Below is the detailed eligibility:

  • Candidates should have been born on or after Oct 1, 1999., if belonging to Open/ EWS/ OBC-NCL Category and on or after October 1, 1994, if belonging to SC, ST or PwD Category.
  • Aspirants should have obtained a rank in UCEED. A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and that too in consecutive years. UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.
  • Candidates need to pass all five subjects in Class 12 or equivalent. Those who have appeared for the first time in the qualifying exam in 2022 or earlier are not eligible.

A:

Q:   What rank is required to get admission in IIT Bombay?

A:

Firstly, candidates need to secure a rank in nearly the top 2,00,000 (including all categories) students in JEE Main. Only these students get a chance to sit for JEE Advanced and become eligible for admission to IITs. In the JoSAA Counselling 2024, BTech CSE closing rank was 68, followed by Electrical Engineering at 496 and was the lowest for BTech Metallurgical Engineering and Material Sciences at 4193.
