National Testing Agency has announced JEE Main 2021 March result for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) on March 24. As per the official notification released by NTA, there are a total of 13 JEE Main March 2021 Toppers who secured a perfect 100 percentile score. Shiksha.com spoke to Rohit, a JEE Main 2021 topper with 100 percentile where he shared his success story and tips and tricks for future aspirants.

Q. How are you feeling to be one of the top scorers of JEE Main 2021 March exam? Was JEE Main 2021 March exam your first attempt?

A. I am very happy about my result. This was unexpected but I am satisfied with the scores. No, this is my second attempt in JEE Main 2021.
Q. Since when did you start studying for JEE Main 2021 exam? How much time did you spend on JEE Main exam?
A. I started studying for JEE Advanced 2021 only. I prepared for JEE Main only about two months ago. I spent almost 8 hours on JEE preparation. I also took college tutorial classes seriously.
Q. What is your NTA score in JEE Main 2021 March and February exam
A, My JEE Main 2021 March exam scores is 100 percentile while in the February exam I got 99.9898 percentile
Q. What is the name of your School? Did you take any coaching class?
A. I studied at Bharati Public School. Yes, I took coaching from Allen to prepare for JEE Advanced and Mains exam preparation.
Q. What was your JEE Main 2021 preparation strategy? Which subject did you focus on more and why?
A. My focus was only for JEE Advanced from the beginning which helped me in JEE Main preparations. I did regular classes and completed home works on time. I also completed all the study materials that my coaching provided. In addition to that, I studied from JEE Advanced books.
I focused on all three subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics equally. But I am a little inclined towards Physics.
Q: Which books did you refer to while preparing for JEE Main 2021 exam?
A. I would suggest the following books:
- Physics: H C Verma, Problems in IITJEE by Sashi Bhushan Tiwari
- Mathematics: Coaching Materials
- Chemistry: Organic – MS Chauhan, Inorganic – Cengage, Physical Chemistry – Neeraj Kumar
Q. What is your future plan?
A. My primary focus is on JEE Advanced 2021 and scoring good marks in the exam. I would like to do Engineering from any of the old IITs (Bombay or Delhi). I will pursue a career in Computer Science courses.
Q. What will be your message to future aspirants?
If you focus on your target and put all your efforts you can achieve your goal in any situation. When you are prepared for the exam, you should not leave anything behind. If you are confident then you can handle any situation and circumstances.
