TNEA is the short form of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions. It is conducted by the Directorate Of Technical Education (DOTE) Chennai and earlier, TNEA was conducted by Anna University. Applicants seeking admission to undergraduate engineering courses offered by the colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu have to register for TNEA with their class 12 marks. Candidates are evaluated only based on their performance in the class 12th qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their main subjects. Candidates will be selected for admission on the basis of marks obtained in the prescribed subjects (Mathematics -100, Physics + Chemistry 100) reduced to 200 in the qualifying exam. Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions TNEA is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu to offer admissions to candidates in various engineering colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu. 2. PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore

Established in 1951, the college is a government-aided autonomous institution affiliated with Anna University. Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE) located at Pennalur, Sriperumbudur is established by the Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation (SPIC) group, a petrochemical corporation in India. The institute is among the top ten engineering colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu. 7. Government College of Engineering, Salem

Government College of Engineering has a beautiful 400-acre campus surrounded by hills and is the third government engineering college in the state of Tamil Nadu.
