Candidates appearing in any GATE paper have to obtain the minimum mark in order to be declared qualified for the exam. Only qualified candidates are considered for admission to MTech/MSc/PhD programs and the MHRD scholarship. The official notification states that “However, NHAI reserves the right to invite the candidate for an interview, as per cut off for respective category subsequently to be decided by NHAI”
All candidates applying for the post must fulfil the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the authority. Candidates will be called for an interview based on the scores obtained in GATE 2025. On the day of the interview, candidates must bring their original documents/certificates for the verification process.

- The applicant is required to keep a copy of “Application Acknowledgement” in safe custody for producing/submitting to NHAI along with supporting documents in respect of entries made by an applicant in the application form, as and when called for.

- Candidates pursuing or in possession of any higher degree will be allowed to appear for GATE 2024.
- Candidates must note that there is no age limit to apply for GATE.
