NLC Recruitment through GATE 2025 will start soon. The PSU conducts the recruitment process to appoint candidates for the graduate executive trainee position in the technical disciplines. The last recruitment was conducted in 2023. We will update the details if there is any information regarding NLC recruitment through GATE 2025. To apply for the GATE NLC 2025 recruitment, a candidate must have passed BE/BTech and possess a valid GATE scorecard. The candidates who want to go for admission to MTech appear in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Eligibility Criteria for NLC GATE Recruitment 2025
Candidates should check the required qualifications before applying for NLC recruitment. Candidates not meeting the NLC recruitment through GATE eligibility should not apply. An overview of the eligibility criteria based on the last recruitment has been added below.
Q: Who can give GATE exam?
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) for admission to Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Technology (MTech), and direct PhD programs in engineering, architecture, and related branches of science.
The eligibility criteria for GATE include passing a bachelor's degree in engineering or technology or basic Science from a recognised university, and meeting the specific eligibility criteria for the discipline you wish to pursue. Candidates from India and other countries can apply for GATE, but they must meet the eligibility criteria. The exam is conducted online and is offered in 30 subjects. Q: What are passing marks in GATE exam?
Passing marks in GATE exam is different for all 30 papers. The GATE qualifying mark for PSUs recruitment is also different. Candidates appearing in any GATE paper have to obtain the minimum mark in order to be declared qualified for the exam. Only qualified candidates are considered for admission to MTech/MSc/PhD programs and the MHRD scholarship. Students applying for GATE 2025 can opt for two subject papers from the prescribed set of combinations. Earlier, the candidates could apply to appear in only one subject. As a candidate can appear in only two papers (only approved set) of the 30 papers for which the GATE 2025 will be conducted, they must carefully choose the papers they wish to write. A candidate is expected to appear in the papers appropriate to the discipline of his or her qualifying degree. However, he or she is free to choose any paper according to his or her admission plan, keeping in mind the GATE eligibility criteria of the institutions in which he or she wishes to seek admission. For more details regarding the admission criteria at any particular institute, the candidate is advised to refer to the websites of that institute. NLC Recruitment 2025 through GATE – Selection Process
The recruitment body of NLC will select the candidates based on their marks in the GATE result (out of 100). The list of the selected candidates will be uploaded to the official website after a few days of the application procedure. The shortlisted candidates will get the call letter for appearing in the Personal Interview, which will be uploaded to the website and sent through the post.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is the entrance exam for admission to postgraduate courses at IITs, NITs, IIITs in Engineering, Science and other allied subjects. The detailed eligibility criteria of GATE are given below:
- Candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree programme or who have completed any government approved degree programme in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2024.
- Candidates who possess certification from any of the below list professional societies are also eligible to apply for GATE however, they must ensure that those examinations are approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/ UPSC as being equivalent to B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch./ B.Planning, etc.

- Candidates who have obtained/are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India are also eligible. All such candidates must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or must have completed their Bachelor’s degree (of at least three years duration) in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities.
- Candidates pursuing or in possession of any higher degree will be allowed to appear for GATE 2024.
- Candidates must note that there is no age limit to apply for GATE.

Hi Ramesh, GATE is used for applying to M.Tech or ME. After Diploma, you have to apply for engineering (BE). After successful completion of your degree, you can go for M.Tech. So, for applying M.Tech, you have to give entrance exam called GATE. You have to qualify for getting good college. Regards.
