NLC Recruitment through GATE 2025 will start soon. The PSU conducts the recruitment process to appoint candidates for the graduate executive trainee position in the technical disciplines. The last recruitment was conducted in 2023. We will update the details if there is any information regarding NLC recruitment through GATE 2025. To apply for the GATE NLC 2025 recruitment, a candidate must have passed BE/BTech and possess a valid GATE scorecard. NLC India Limited, formerly Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited, is a premier ‘Navratna’ Public Sector Enterprise.
The candidates who want to go for admission to MTech appear in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Apart from this, candidates who qualify for GATE become eligible for PSU recruitment through GATE. The recruitment process, which is the registration process starts after the GATE result is declared.

Eligibility Criteria for NLC GATE Recruitment 2025
Candidates should check the required qualifications before applying for NLC recruitment. Candidates not meeting the NLC recruitment through GATE eligibility should not apply. An overview of the eligibility criteria based on the last recruitment has been added below.

Q: What are passing marks in GATE exam?
Passing marks in GATE exam is different for all 30 papers. The GATE qualifying mark for PSUs recruitment is also different. Candidates appearing in any GATE paper have to obtain the minimum mark in order to be declared qualified for the exam. Only qualified candidates are considered for admission to MTech/MSc/PhD programs and the MHRD scholarship. Candidates can check previous year GATE cutoff for various papers on the Shiksha page or from the GATE official website.
Q: For how many papers can one student apply in GATE 2025?
Students applying for GATE 2025 can opt for two subject papers from the prescribed set of combinations. Earlier, the candidates could apply to appear in only one subject. As a candidate can appear in only two papers (only approved set) of the 30 papers for which GATE 2025 will be conducted, they must carefully choose the papers they wish to write. A candidate is expected to appear in the papers appropriate to the discipline of his or her qualifying degree. However, he or she is free to choose any paper according to his or her admission plan, keeping in mind the GATE eligibility criteria of the institutions in which he or she wishes to seek admission. For more details regarding the admission criteria at any particular institute, the candidate is advised to refer to the websites of that institute. Those candidates opting for two paper combinations for GATE 2025 have a primary choice of paper as their default choice. The second choice of paper has to be chosen from the allowed combinations. There is no need to send the application form by post or fax. The recruitment body will not consider NLC Recruitment application form through any other mode. - Go to the official website or click on the link, which will be available on this page later.
- Then exercise the registration process by enter the email id and other details.
- After that, fill the details such as personal details, educational details, complete address, GATE details, etc.
- Enter the GATE details such as Registration number correctly in the given space.
- Upload photo and signature in the requisite format.
- Make payment of the application fee through online, using State Bank Collect facility available at www.onlinesbi.com.
- Then go for the final submit of the application form. Keep the hard copy of the application form and payment receipt for future reference.
NLC Recruitment 2025 through GATE – Selection Process
The recruitment body of NLC will select the candidates based on their marks in the GATE result (out of 100). The list of the selected candidates will be uploaded to the official website after a few days of the application procedure. The shortlisted candidates will get the call letter for appearing in the Personal Interview, which will be uploaded to the website and sent through the post.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is the entrance exam for admission to postgraduate courses at IITs, NITs, IIITs in Engineering, Science and other allied subjects. The detailed eligibility criteria of GATE are given below:
- Candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree programme or who have completed any government approved degree programme in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2024.
- Candidates who possess certification from any of the below list professional societies are also eligible to apply for GATE however, they must ensure that those examinations are approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/ UPSC as being equivalent to B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch./ B.Planning, etc.

- The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
- The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE)
- The Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI)
- The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, including Polymer and Environmental Group (IIChE)
- The Indian Institute of Metals (IIM)
- The Indian Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIIE)
- Candidates who have obtained/are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India are also eligible. All such candidates must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or must have completed their Bachelor’s degree (of at least three years duration) in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities.
- Candidates pursuing or in possession of any higher degree will be allowed to appear for GATE 2024.
- Candidates must note that there is no age limit to apply for GATE.
