UPES Dehradun BTech Admission 2021: Dates, Eligibility & Process

UPES Dehradun offers a number of undergraduate four-year programmes in the field of Engineering, which include BTech, BTech (Hons) and Integrated BTech degrees in multiple specialisations. The University conducts an entrance test, namely University of Petroleum & Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT) for BTech admission. Students studying in Class 12 can apply for BTech programme. In addition to this, those having a valid score in JEE Main/ SAT exams are also eligible to apply for BTech admission at UPES.

UPES Dehradun BTech Admission 2021: Highlights

UPES Dehradun BTech admissions to all the specialisations are open now. Admission to all the BTech programmes is based on a valid UPESEAT/ JEE Main/ SAT score. Apart from this, the University also offers merit-based admissions to BTech programme. UPES Dehradun BTech Admission 2021

Under its School of Engineering, UPES Dehradun offers a four-year BTech programme across 13 specialisations. It is one of the popular programmes of the University which is spread across eight semesters. UPES Dehradun BTech admissions are based on UPESEAT/ JEE Main/ SAT score or board merit. 

Candidates interested in seeking BTech admission can opt for either of the two pathways mentioned below:

Note: UPES also offers Lateral Entry admission to BTech programme. For BTech (LE) admissions, a candidate must have passed a three-year diploma in any branch of Engineering, relevant to the programme, after Class 12 with a minimum of 60% aggregate in Science and Mathematics.

UPES Dehradun Integrated BTech Admission 2021

The University also offers an integrated BTech-MBA programme in five specialisations. UPES admissions to integrated BTech are based on a valid score in UPESEAT/ NEET UG or board merit. The final selection of students is based on their qualifying/ entrance exam scores, followed by a PI.

UPES Dehradun Application Process 2021

As mentioned above, UPES Dehradun application form can be filled in both online and offline modes. For offline application submission, candidates can visit UPES Dehradun campus and pay a fee of Rs 1,350 to buy the application form and submit the same at the admission cell of respective school of UPES Dehradun. For online application submission, follow the below-given steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website of UPES Dehradun (www.upes.ac.in). On its homepage, click on ‘Apply Now’ to process further.

Step 2: In the first step of the application form, pay the application fee of Rs 1,350 using debit card/ credit/ net banking through Paytm/ PayU gateway.

Step 3: Complete the remaining application process by filling in the academic details.

Step 4: Upload all the necessary documents along with a passport size photograph in JPG/ JPEG format.

UPES Dehradun Scholarships 2021

The University offers over 10 different scholarships under all the programmes. The scholarship amount or percentage differs from course to course. Given below are the details regarding UPES Dehradun scholarships:

Scholarships for BTech students:

BTech students are awarded a scholarship based on their Class 10 and Class 12 or JEE Main scores. Details regarding UPES BTech scholarship are mentioned in the table below:

Apart from this, BTech students are also awarded a Merit-Based Scholarship. Candidates, who have secured an aggregate of 80% in Class 10 and Class 12 in PCM in CBSE/ ICSE / State Examination Board, are awarded a 50% tuition fee waiver for the first semester. Such scholarships are limited to 10% of seats in each BTech specialisation.
