There is no registration fee for COAP. The candidates can register for COAP free of any applicable fee using their GATE scores.

Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before COAP 2024 registrations. Applications of candidates who do not meet the eligibility conditions are liable to be rejected. Therefore, all candidates must fulfil all the eligibility conditions:

• The candidate must be an Indian National.
• Candidates must have a valid GATE score i.e. qualified in 2024/2023/2022.
• In the case of more than one valid scorecard, candidates must provide the scorecard with a better score or rank.
• Candidates must check the eligibility criteria of the respective institute before applying for it.

Details to enter: To register at COAP 2024, a candidate must have the following data ready:

• Name
• GATE Registration number(s)
• Valid GATE score(s)
• Date of birth
• Email ID
• Mobile number.

Check eligibility for COAP 2024: Only those candidates who have qualified in GATE 2024/ 2023/ 2022 and wish to apply for MTech admission in any of the participating institutes / PSUs job offers are eligible to register at COAP 2024. After successful completion of registration at COAP, a candidate will be able to access information on offers made by the participating Institutes. Offers will be uploaded by the participating Institutes / PSU's at COAP and will be tagged with COAP registration numbers.

Requirement of an active mobile number and email id: COAP registration will only be successful when a candidate completes the log-in procedure with the help of the input received via Email / SMS. Email will contain a website URL for logging-in along with the login ID. SMS will contain the password.

Need for valid GATE score: Candidates are advised to enter all valid GATE scores (GATE 2024, GATE 2023, GATE 2022), if any, while filling out the application. Otherwise, click on the SUBMIT button to complete the registration process. The application process to COAP 2024 is complete only after clicking on the "SUBMIT" button upon first time login to the candidate’s login account.

There is no need to insert/upload any document while registering at COAP. However, candidates might need to upload the scanned documents when applying for admission to MTech courses to the respective IITs. Candidates have to check the guidelines on the official website of the respective institutes.

Following are the steps for COAP Registrations:

Step 1: COAP 2024 Registration

Go to the COAP 2023 Application Portal. For a new registration, Click Register. For New Registration:

• Enter details of the GATE Paper(s) and click Register Now.
• You can add a row for more GATE Papers.
• At least one GATE Paper registration number is needed to register in COAP.
• You can add more GATE Papers later after registration.

Step 2: COAP 2024 Login and Dashboard

• After successful registration, use your COAP ID and password to login.
• Click Dashboard to view Application details at all Institutes and registered GATE paper(s) in COAP

Step 3: Add more GATE papers, if applicable

• Under the login, candidates can click Applicant Details to Add Row for more GATE Papers.
• You can also delete additional added rows for GATE Papers.

Step 4: Final submission

• When you are completely satisfied with your entries, Click Final Submit.
• Data cannot be modified further after you Click Final Submit.

Candidates must go through the brochure before they go for COAP counselling registration. Some important points to note are:

• Once you have completed your COAP registration with one of your GATE scores (preferably the highest one), it is necessary to add any additional GATE scores when you log in to the portal for the first time.
• After the COAP registration process is complete, you will receive your user ID via email and an SMS will be sent to your registered mobile number. If you are unable to see the email in your inbox, please check your spam folder. The password sent by mobile may take some time to reach you due to network issues with the service provider.
• If you have multiple GATE scores and are unable to add the scores of previous years in COAP, it may be because your current name (as per GATE 2024 scorecard) does not match the names given in previous years' GATE scorecards. In such a case, please check your names with all the GATE scorecards and if there is a mismatch, write to us with the subject "Name mismatch". Please include your name and registration number year-wise in the email and wait for a couple of working days for us to resolve your issue.
