GATE 2025 Answer Key: GATE answer key 2025 will be available after the GATE 2025 exam. The GATE 2025 will be held on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025 across different cities, and the admit card has been released. The branch-wise exam dates have been announced on the GATE's official website - gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Soon after the exam, the GATE 2025 response sheet and provisional answer key will be available on the GATE 2025 website- gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Candidates can raise objections against the provisional GATE answer key 2025 with a fee of Rs. 500 per question. Candidates will be able to raise objections through the GOAPS 2025 portal.
IIT Roorkee will review the objections submitted by candidates. The final GATE 2025 answer key will be released after the necessary modification in the provisional answer key of GATE 2025. The GATE 2025 result will be calculated based on the final answer key. Candidates can calculate their expected exam scores by following the GATE Marking scheme. Steps to Calculate GATE 2025 Scores
Candidates can check their probable GATE exam scores in the following way -
- Determine the total number of correct responses and allot points or scores to determine the final score.
- Candidates must calculate the marks deducted for incorrect answers. (Negative marking is only applicable for MCQs and MSQs). There is no negative marking for Numerical-Based Questions.
The mathematical formula to calculate the GATE 2025 scores is as follows -
Total Marks = Total marks secured for the correct response - Negative marks for the wrong response

After completing the exam, IIT Roorkee will release the GATE 2025 answer key for all 30 papers. However, IISc Bengaluru has released the GATE 2024 answer key. Candidates can check below the GATE 2024 Master Question paper and its answer key released by IISc Bangalore.

Q: What is the meaning of "marks to all" in GATE official answer key?
In the GATE official answer key, the “Marks to all” implies that everyone will get the marks for the specific question, regardless of whether they have attempted. This can also be used to calculate the overall score for the test taker. Further, as per some experts, generally after the exam, a panel of experts, which is different from the paper-setting team, will be formed. Then, they will review all the solutions to a particular paper. In some cases, a panel of experts may not agree with the solution or response given by the paper-setting team. Therefore, in such cases, there will be discrepancies between both teams, and so they will mark those questions as MTA, which means marks to all.
