GATE 2025 Exam Centre: The Day 1 and 2 of the GATE 2025 exam is now over. The exam is conducted in two shifts- Morning (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and Afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm). Candidates must reach the GATE 2025 exam centre 90 minutes before the commencement of the exam. The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has released an updated list of the Zone-wise GATE 2025 exam cities on the GATE 2025 information brochure and official website. This year, 11 new cities have been added to the GATE exam centre list.  Candidates can find the exam centre address and code on the GATE 2025 admit card. The hall ticket was released on January 7, 2025. IIT Roorkee is conducting the GATE 2025 exam on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, across eight zonal centres - IISc Bengaluru, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee.

Registrations for GATE and form corrections are closed now. Candidates could select up to three exam cities while filling out the GATE form. GATE 2025 registrations with regular and late fees have been closed. Candidates can now download their GATE 2025 application form. Candidates must know that the GATE 2025 exam will not be held outside India. Any foreign student who filled out the GATE 2025 application form had to choose the exam centres inside India. The exam authorities are not responsible for travel and accommodation; candidates must make all the arrangements themselves.

This year, 11 new cities have been included in the GATE exam centers. Candidates had the facility to opt for the exam center at the time of GATE registration. The list of the available exam cities for GATE exam under IIT Delhi Zone are as follows-

GATE 2025 Exam Centres for Foreign Nationals

There will be no GATE 2025 exam centres outside India for foreign nationals. As per the GATE 2025 notification, "There are no international centres for the GATE 2025 examination. Desirous foreign or Indian nationals interested in appearing for the GATE 2025 examination will have to travel to India to appear for the test."

How to change the examination city for GATE 2025?

Step-1: Visit the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website

Step-2: Login to your account with your Enrollment ID/Email Address, Password and Captcha

Step-3: Click on Change Examination City

Step-4: After making changes to the GATE 2025 examination city, you need to make a payment of Rs 500

Choice of examination city: The candidate can choose three cities from the list of examination cities in the above table. The first and second choices must be from the same GATE zone, and the third choice can be from any GATE zone.

If a candidate chooses a particular city (in a particular zone) as the first choice, then they will be able to select the city of the second choice only from that particular zone. However, the third choice can be from any one of the listed cities (i.e., no restriction on the zone for the third choice city). Note that, because of the operational constraints, the GATE Committee reserves the right to add a new city or remove an existing one, and allot a city that may not be from any of the choices selected by the candidate.
