GCET 2019 is based on the syllabus of Class 12 of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. The exam encompasses questions from three subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Each subject has 75 questions that needs to be answered in two hours. For each correct answer, aspirants are awarded one mark each. However, there is no negative marking for multiple or wrong answers.

Each correct response carries one mark, while there is no negative marking for wrong/ multiple answers.

 

The candidates are required to mark their responses in Objective Response Sheets (ORS), which acts as an answer sheet. So it is also important to read the instructions printed on the OMR sheet carefully and get familiar with the pattern beforehand.

Tricks to Crack the GCET 2019 Exam:

The candidates should go through the GCET 2019 Syllabus to stay updated with the types of questions they might be asked during the exam. The GCET 2019 syllabus will be based on the class XII syllabus as prescribed by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE).

The candidates must study the topics covered in their Class XI and XII for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and Biology as the questions asked in the GCET 2019 exam will be based on these topics.

The exam pattern given above will also help students to understand what to expect in terms of the questions, marking scheme, time allotted to complete the paper etc.

Along with these tools, candidates will also benefit with the GCET Sample Papers 2019 to put their learning and study into practice. It is rightly said that practice makes a person perfect therefore it is imperative that candidates answer the sample papers to know where they stand in their preparation for the GCET 2019 exam.

GCET 2019 Exam Day Guidelines:

  • Candidates must reach at least half an hour early at the exam centre before the exam starts.
  • Candidates must ensure that they carry their GCET 2019 Admit Card with them and show it when required.
  • They must read the instructions carefully and follow them
  • They must go through the GCET paper first before starting to answer the questions.
  • When faced with a difficult question, candidates are advised not to waste time answering them. Instead they are advised to move to the next one and come back to the difficult ones after the easy ones are answered.
  • This way they ensure that they don’t lose any marks.
  • Candidates will be allowed to take the copy of the ORS after the exam is completed.
  • After the answer key is published, candidates can use the same to complare and estimate their scores and chances for admissions.
