JEECE 2024 counselling choice-filling process for Round 2 is now open. It is to be noted that the selection of courses and colleges for the JEECE counselling should be done in the order of preference. The JEECE 2024 merit list for Round 2 has been released. Through the state merit list, the candidates can check the list of candidates eligible for JEECE 2024 counselling. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's merit, preferences and seat availability. To confirm the admission, the candidates will have to verify their documents before the final date. Since there is no entrance exam, the JEECE 2024 admissions are being done based on the candidate's JEE Main scores. Q:   What is the eligibility criteria of JEECE?

A:

Before JEECE registration, the candidates are advised to check the official eligibility criteria for the admission process. All candidates should be permanent residents of the state and should have passed 12th standard (or equivalent) examination from a recognised board. For JEECE admission, the candidates will require a valid JEE Main score and should have secured minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates) in their 12th standard qualifying examination from a recognised board. The candidates should have studied Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects as well as Chemistry or Biology as optional subjects. Ineligible candidates will not be considered for admission.

Q:   When will JEECE counselling start?

A:

JEECE 2024 counselling process has started. The candidates listed out in the state merit list will have to partcipate in the counselling process. For every round of JEECE counselling, fresh registrations will be accepted. During the JEECE counselling, the candidates will have to fill out their choice of courses and colleges in the order of preference. The allotment of seats will be announced online.

Q:   What information will be available through the JEECE merit list?

A:

JEECE merit list will be released online after the application process is over. Through the state merit list of JEECE, the candidates will be able to check their personal details i.e., name, application number, category and merit details. The candidates who are listed in the JEECE merit list will be able to participate in the counselling and admission process.

Procedure of JEECE 2024 Counselling

JEECE 2024 counselling process is being held online. The given steps can be followed to be registered for JEECE counselling 2024.

  • Registration: Firstly, the candidates will have to register for the JEECE counselling 2024 process. To be registered, the candidates will have to fill out the required details and edit/correct the necessary information.
  • Fee payment: Candidates will have to pay the counselling fee online. The counselling fee is INR 400 for General/EWS/BC-I/BC-II category and INR 250 for SC/ST/female category candidates of all categories. The fee payment has to be done online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card.
  • Filling of choices: Next, the candidates will have to fill out their choice of colleges and courses. The selection has to be done in the order of preference. Candidates are advised to submit as many preferences as possible. For Round 2 of JEECE 2024 counselling, the choice-filling process is now open until August 5, 2024.
  • Editing of choices: Candidates will be given the option to edit their submitted choice of courses and colleges. The online facility will be open for a short period and the candidates will be able to make their corrections only once.

Q:   What is the JEECE counselling fee?

A:

While registering for the JEECE counselling process, the candidates will have to pay the required fee. For the General/EWS/BC-I/BC-II category candidates, the JEECE counselling fee is INR 400. However, for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/female candidates of all categories, the counselling fee is INR 250. The counselling fee has to be paid online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. No other mode of payment will be accepted.

JEECE 2024 merit list date has been announced. The authorities have released the first and second state merit list of JEECE 2024 on July 2, 2024, and July 30, 2024, respectively. While preparing the merit list, the authorities will consider the JEE Main scores obtained by the candidates. The merit list will be used to select candidates for the JEECE counselling and admission process. For Round 3, the JEECE 2024 state merit list will be released on August 17, 2024.

JEECE 2024 Seat Allotment

Candidates will have to log in to access the seat allotment result and provisional allotment letter. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank, preferences, category and seat availability. The allotted candidates will have to verify their documents and pay the fee at their respective institutes before the final date. If the candidates are unable to confirm their admission before the final date, then their allotment will be cancelled.

Q:   What after JEECE seat allotment?

A:

After the JEECE seat allotment result is announced, the candidates will have to download their provisional allotment letter. To confirm the admission, the candidates will have to report to their respective college and verify their documents. The required tuition fee also has to be paid before the final date to confirm admission. If the candidates are not able to confirm their admission before the final date, then their allotment will be cancelled.

Q:   Will JEECE seat allotment result be announced online?

A:

Yes. The authorities will release the JEECE seat allotment result online. After logging in using the required credentials, the candidates will be able to access their provisonal allotment letter. Separate JEECE seat allotment results will be declared for different rounds. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's JEE Main score, preferences and seat availability.

List of documents required during JEECE 2024 counselling

Candidates will have to present the following documents during the JEECE counselling for verification:

  • 10th and 12th equivalent Mark sheet and Passing Certificate (Original/Provisional)
  • Local Resident Certificate
  • Caste Certificate
  • 1 passport-size photograph
  • JEE Main rank/scorecard

Q:   Will JEE Main scorecard be required for JEECE counselling?

A:

Yes. Since the admissions done through JEECE counselling will be based on the JEE Main scores, the candidates will be required to submit the scorecard. After allotment, the selected candidates will have to report to their respective institute and submit their documents for verification. Amongst the documents, the JEE Main scorecard should also be present. If the candidates are unable to submit all documents before the final date, then their allotment will be cancelled.

Q:   I forgot to verify my documents for JEECE admission. What should I do?

A:

After the candidates are allotted, they will have to report at their respective institute and confirm their admission by verifying their documents. All original certificates and the printouts have to be submitted before the final date so that the admission through JEECE counselling is confirmed. In case the candidates forget to verify their docuemnts before the final date, then their allotment will be cancelled. For any issues in the document verification, the candidates are advised to contact the authorities immediately.

Important Points of JEECE 2024 Counselling

  • Candidates who are listed in the merit list will be called for the JEECE counselling session.
  • Candidates can fill in their choices and then finally lock their choices according to their preferences.
  • The allotted candidates will be required to pay the seat acceptance fee of INR 1,000 in the form of a demand draft drawn in favour of the Controller of Examination, JCECEB, payable at Ranchi.
  • The second round of counselling will be held if vacant seats are available.
  • Since there is no entrance exam, the selection of candidates will be done based on the candidate's rank obtained in JEE Main.

Q:   How can I check the JEECE merit list?

A:

Candidates will be able to check the JEECE merit list online at jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. To access the merit list, the candidates will have to login using the required credentials. Once the merit list is displayed on the screen, the candidates are advised to check the details carefully for any mistakes. The authorities will use no other mode to release the merit list of JEECE.
