How can I check the MET result?

MET result will be released online at manipal.edu. To access the MET result, the candidates will have to click on the official link and log in using their registered email ID and password. After the candidates successfully log in, the result of MET will be displayed on the screen. The scores obtained in the entrance examination will be released through the MET result. The authorities will also send the obtained scores to the candidate's registered mobile numbers. Therefore, the candidates are advised to provide the correct contact information during the registration process.

Which details will be available on the MET result?

Candidates will be able to check important personal and examination-related details thorugh the MET result. Some of the important details that the candidates will be able to find in the result of MET are - candidate's name, roll number, parent's name, date of birth, category, nationality, subject-wise and total obtained scores, etc. Candidates are advised to check the details on the MET result carefully before downloading it.

Will the authorities send the MET result through post or email?

No. Candidates will not receive their MET result through post or email. The authorities will release the MET result link online at manipal.edu. To access the result of MET, the candidates will have to log in using their email ID and password. However, the candidates are also expected to receive their obtained scores in their registered mobile number. The details regarding the MET result will be announced online by the authorities.

When will MAHE release the MET 2025 result and merit list?

MAHE will release the MET 2025 result online for the different exam phases. Candidates will be able to access the MET result online at manipal.edu. The scores and ranks obtained in the entrance examination will be released through the result of MET. Based on the result, the authorities will prepare the MET merit list. During counselling, MET merit list will be referred to by the authorities for the allotment of the candidates.

Will the MET merit list be available?

MET merit list will be prepared for all candidates. To access the merit list of MET, the candidates will have to log in using their application number. The ranks obtained in the entrance examination along with the counselling and admission eligibility will be released through the MET merit list. The authorities will consider the merit list during the allotment process. Candidates will be allotted as per their marks, preferences and seat availability.

What is the tie-breaking rules for MET result?

If there is a case when two or more candidates secure the same marks in MET, then the authorities will follow the tie-breaking rules to allot the ranks accordingly. The rules will be followed in the given order. Candidates who have higher marks in Mathematics will be allotted a higher rank. If the tie still exists, then the candidates with higher marks in Physics will be given a higher rank. If the tie has still not broken, then the candidates with higher marks in Chemistry will be allotted a higher rank. If the tie still persists, then the candidates with higher marks in 10th standard PCM will be allotted a higher rank. Finally, if the tie is still not broken, then the candidates who are older will be given a higher rank.

When will MET 2025 scorecard be available?

MET 2025 scorecard date is yet to be announced. The authorities are expected to release the MET scorecard, a few days after the result is declared. To access the scorecard of MET 2025, the candidates will have to log in using the required credentials. Candidates will be able to check their obtained scores through the MET scorecard. The merit list of MET will be prepared after the scores are released. While preparing the merit list, the performance of the candidates in the entrance exam is important.

Will I be able to download the MET scorecard?

Yes. MET scorecard will be available online for downloading. The candidates will be able to access and download the scorecard of MET by logging in using their application number and OTBS password. After providing the required credentials, the scorecard will be displayed on the screen. Candidates will have to download and print out the MET scorecard for future use. All details present in the scorecard should be checked carefully.

There is a mistake in my MET scorecard. What should I do?

Before downloading the MET scorecard, the candidates are advised to check the details on it carefully. If the candidates find any mistakes in their MET scorecard, then they are advised to contact the authorities immediately. The mistakes in the scorecard should be corrected immediately so that the candidates do not face any problems during the MET counselling and admission process. However, it should be known that the authorities will not accept requests for corrections in the scores obtained in the entrance examination.

I have attempted both sessions of MET. Which score will be used for admissions?

Candidates will be eligible to apply for one or both sessions of MET 2025. If the candidates attempt both sessions of MET then the authorities will consider the best of the two scores for admissions into the B.Tech courses offered by the participating campuses. The candidates will be required to qualify at least one session to be eligible for admissions. Candidates are advised to attempt both sessions so that they have higher chances of securing the required scores to be allotted into their preferred course and campus.

Will MET toppers be announced by MAHE?

No. The authorities of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) have not announced the MET toppers as of yet. However, if the list of MET toppers are announced, the candidates will be able to access the details here. The authorities will prepare and release the candidate's ranking through the MET merit list. The allotted ranks will be considered for allotment during the MET counselling process. The candidate's ranking is an important factor for allotment into the preferred course and campus.

What is the MET counselling registration process?

To participate in the MET counselling process, the candidates will have to complete the registration process before the final date. To be registered for MET counselling, the candidates will have to click on the registration link and log in using their application number and OTBS password. After checking the profile, the candidates will have to update it with the necessary information . Not much changes in the details can be made during the MET counselling registration process. Candidates will also have to select their choice of courses and campuses in the order of preference for allotment. Fresh registration and choice filling/editing will be allowed for every round of MET counselling.

What is the MET counselling fee?

All candidates will be required to pay a fee of INR 10,000 during the MET counselling process. The MET counselling fee has to be paid online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. No other mode of payment will be accepted. If the candidates are not able to pay the counselling fee before the final date, then they will not be allowed to participate in the allotment and admission process. The allotted candidates will be able to adjust their counselling fee with their tuition fee.

When will MET 2025 seat allotment be announced?

MET 2025 seat allotment dates have not been announced yet. Candidates will be able to access their MET seat allotment status online by logging in using the required credentials. The authorities are expected to conduct five rounds of MET seat allotment 2025. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank, preferences and seat availability. Therefore, the candidates are advised to choose their course and campus preference carefully.

What is a good score for MET?

Candidates are advised to secure minimum 190 marks or above out of the total 240 marks. This will allow the candidates to have a higher chance of securing admissions into their preferred course and campus. Along with the obtained ranks, other factors will also be considered while preparing the MET admission cutoff. The candidate's category will also be a determining factor for admissions. The candidates are advised to aim for a high score so that they will not face any problems during the admission process.

What after MET result?

After the MET result is announced, the candidates will be able to participate in the counselling and admission process. The authorities will release the MET counselling dates online. The candidates will have to register for the MET counselling by updating their profile and choosing their preferred course and campus. MET seat allotment result will be announced online. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank, preferences and seat availability.

Can I request for a review of my MET score?

No. The authorities will not accept any requests for the review of the MET score. During the preparation of MET scorecard, the authorities will ensure that the candidates are scored as per their performance in the entrance exam. Therefore, the authorities will consider their decision as absolute and will not entertain requests for score reviews. However, if the candidates find any mistakes in the other details present in the MET result, then they can contact the authorities.

MET 2020 Counselling

The counselling process of MET 2020 will be started by the institute from the last week of May to first week of June 2020. Candidates who will be shortlisted in the merit list will be called for MET counselling on the scheduled dates. All the candidates have to visit the institute physically and submit their eligibility documents. Aspirants will allotted seats as per the availability of seats in the institute, candidate's category and rank.

General Category: Based on the marks obtained in Manipal Entrance Test, Manipal Academy of Higher Education will declare a list of all candidates appeared for the entrance test on or before 14.05.2020 in the website. In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks, the inter-se merit of such candidates will be determined on the basis of higher marks in the order of preference as under:

Mathematics in Manipal Entrance Test 2020

PCM marks in 10+2
In case marks secured in the above are equal, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher
