Q:   Are the colleges under COMEDK exam government or private colleges?

A:

No, COMEDK participating institutes comprises both government and private colleges. There are 132 engineering colleges which accept COMEDK UGET score for admissions to engineering courses. Out of the total institutes, 95 percent of colleges are private while 5 percent of colleges are public/government. The admissions to both private and government colleges will be done on the basis of COMEDK rank. Candidates have to qualify COMEDK UGET cutoff 2025 to secure admissions.

  • Candidate Original ID proof: PAN/Passport/Voter Id/ Driving License/ Any other Government Id Proof (as declared in application form/used during exam).
  • Date of Birth Proof of Candidate: PAN/Passport/Voter Id/ Driving License/Any other Government Id Proof/ 10th Marks Card/Birth Certificate. 
  • PUC/ 12th standard or equivalent Marks Card: CBSE Candidates should upload marks card which shows Roll Number and School Number and clear QR code/ ISC board candidates should upload marks card which shows Unique ID Number and Index Number and clear QR code. ).
  • COMEDK UGET Admit Card (If Applicable/CBSE candidate).
  • Improvement or Supplementary Marksheet or any other document (If applicable).
  • SC/ST/OBC Certificate. Applicable only if you have scored between 40 to 45% in 12th grade/2nd PUC/Equivalent and are a Domicile of Karnataka.
  • Domicile Certificate. Candidates claiming SC/ST/OBC category should upload Karnataka Domicile Certificate.
  • HKR Certificate. Candidates claiming HKR seat should upload HKR Certificate. It should be in the name of the candidate issued by the Asst. Commissioner in charge of the Revenue subdivision.

Q:   What is COMEDK counselling mock allotment?

A:

The exam authority will release the COMEDK UGET mock allotment result 2025 at the official website. The mock allotment of COMEDK counselling 2025 will be released based on choices filled in by the candidates. The exam authority will allow candidates to change their course and branch preference after the COMEDK counselling mock allotment result 2024. COMEDK UGET Counselling 2025 – Eligibility Criteria

Candidates appearing for the counselling of COMEDK 2025 can check the eligibility criteria from below.  

  • Candidates who have appeared and cleared the COMEDK UGET 2025 exam.   
  • Have passed class 12th/ equivalent with 45% marks (40% marks for SC, ST, OBS of Karnataka State) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/Computer.  
  • Supplementary candidates can appear in rounds 2 and 3 counselling subjected to the fulfilment of eligibility. 

Q:   Is there any COMEDK counselling registration fee?

A:

Yes, candidates appearing in the COMEDK UGET counselling 2025 process have to pay the registration fee. The registration fee of COMEDK counselling 2025 is INR 2000. Applicants have to pay the registration fee online only through credit card, debit card or net banking. Any other payment mode (like RTGS, NEFT, Cash or Cheque, DD payments), will not be accepted. Candidates must note that COMEDK UGET 2025 counselling fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. Along with the COMEDK registration fee, applicants also have to pay the convenience charges as per the bank rules. Candidates are advised not to wait till the last hour of decision making, to avoid payment failures subsequent requests for extension of time for the same will not be entertained.

Applicants allotted seats on the basis of choices filled at the time of choice filling have to choose any one option against their seat. Candidates are advised to consider all the options carefully before submitting their choice. The available choices for candidates after the COMEDK seat allotment result are given below. 

Accept and Freeze: If candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted and willing to report to the college allotted and does not wish to participate in any subsequent rounds. Applicants need to download their online allotment letter and fee payment receipt and report to the college in person as per date mentioned in your allotment letter by fulfilling other requirements.

Accept and Upgrade: If the candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat but wishes to participate in the next round. If higher options are allotted in subsequent rounds, then the earlier allotted seat gets cancelled automatically or if higher option seats are not allotted then the earlier allotted seat shall remain in the candidate favor.

Reject and Upgrade: If candidate is not satisfied with allotted seat. Applicants reject the allotted seat but wish to participate in the next round to check for allotment of higher preferences. Reject and Withdraw If candidate is not satisfied with allotted seat and do not wish to participate in further rounds.

Documents Required for COMEDK UGET Counselling 2025

At the time of COMEDK UGET counselling, candidates will be required to have certain documents. Applicants need to get original documents and two separate sets of self-attested photocopies that are to be arranged in the sequence shown below:  

  • COMEDK UGET application form 2025.  
  • COMEDK UGET rank card 2025.   
  • COMEDK UGET admit card with the signature of Invigilator.   
  • COMEDK verification entry card.   
  • Fee payment receipt of INR 55000/-.   
  • Candidate Original ID proof.   
  • Parents /Guardian’s Original ID proof   
  • Date of Birth Proof of Candidate (SSLC Certificate/Government document).   
  • PUC/ 12th Std or equivalent Marks Card.   
  • SC/ST/OBC Certificate from Tahsildar/above.   
  • Tulu Minority Certificate –Issued by Principal of school/school record showing “mother tongue” 
  • Religious minority certificate Christian- Issued by Principal of school/school record showing “Religion”.  
  • HKR Eligibility certificate.   
  • Karnataka domicile certificate Issued by Revenue authority not below the rank of Tahsildar.   
  • Parents study proof in Karnataka for 7 years.   
  • Candidates study proof in Karnataka for 7 years including 10th or 12th in Karnataka.   

How to Check Whether the COMEDK UGET Counselling Documents are Verified? 

  • COMEDK UGET counselling document verification status will be updated in the login window.  
  • Candidates are requested to login to their application frequently to check for COMEDK UGET document verification status.  
  • In case incorrect/illegible documents are uploaded, COMEDK counselling registration 2025 and verification status may show as ‘Rejected’.  
  • Candidates whose document verification status is incomplete/rejected will not be able to participate in further COMEDK UGET counselling 2025 processes.

Candidates have to download their COMEDK counselling 2025 online allotment letter and fee payment receipt before reporting at the allotted institute. Applicants have to pay the seat confirmation fee at the respective institute to confirm admission. The documents required at the time of reporting at the allotted institute are given below.

Q:   What are the steps involved in COMEDK counselling choice filling?

A:

After the conclusion of COMEDK counselling 2025 registration, the authority commences the choice filling process. Applicants can complete the COMEDK counselling choice filling 2025 only after the document verification process. The steps involved in COMEDK UGET counselling choice-filling process are given below.

  • Visit the COMEDK official website. Login using user ID and password.
  • Click on the choice filling tab from login window.
  • Click on Add tab to add a college and course to the selected preference table.
  • Check whether the college name and course name you selected is appearing on the selected preferences table.
  • Click on Save button at bottom of page to save your selected preference. Candidates can click on the preview button to view their selected preferences. Once the preferences are saved and you have completed your COMEDK UGET choice filling, please take a printout of your selected preferences and verify the same again.

How to Complete the COMEDK UGET Counselling Registration 2025?

Candidates can refer to the steps given below to complete the COMEDK UGET counselling registration.   

  • Visit the COMEDK official website - comedk.org 2025.  
  • Click on the “Counselling Registration” tab.  
  • Make Payment of Rs 5000/- as part of tuition fee using credit card/debit card/net banking  
  • Click on the “Document Upload” tab.  
  • Upload all mandatory documents for verification. (Ensure uploading legible scanned copies of documents. Do not take photos of the documents on mobile for uploading).  
  • Only candidates whose document verification is completed will be eligible for further process. 

COMEDK UGET Counselling 2025 – Rounds 

There will be three rounds of COMEDK UGET counselling. Candidates who register for COMEDK counselling 2025 and complete document verification will only be eligible to participate in counselling. The eligibility to participate in rounds 2 and 3 will depend on choice exercised or decision made on allotment during rounds 1 and 2 respectively. There will be an exclusive round of COMEDK counselling 2025 for candidates who passed out in supplementary exam conducted by PU Board / 10+2 for the leftover seats after all the rounds of regular counselling are completed. Look at the below round-wise COMEDK counselling 2025 process.

Candidates can refer to the steps given below to surrender their seats during COMEDK counselling 2025. 

Step 1: Check for dates of surrender on the COMEDK UGET website. 

Step 2: Login and click on “Surrender Tab”. 

Step 3: Submit surrender form online and take a printout of the same. 

Option 1: In case you would like to attend Round 2 to check for a new college/course, please attend with a DD of INR 5000/- (check document list for more details) and print out of surrender form

 In case a candidate does not select a seat in Round 2, the below documents have to be sent through speed post to COMEDK, Malleswaram Office. 

  • Original Allotment Letter

  • Fee payment receipt issued by Vijaya Bank for Rs 55000/- 
  • Print out of Surrender Form 
  • Refund will be processed by 3rd/ 4th week of August for all surrender cases that have complied with the above conditions

Q:   What is normalization of marks in COMEDK UGET exam?

A:

The exam authority will conduct COMEDK exam 2025 in multiple sessions. Candidates score of COMEDK 2025 exam is taken into percentile for announcing rank. The percentile is derived by Percentage of candidates who have got equal to or lower score than the candidate. COMEDK UGET percentile is normalized between the 2 sessions. In case two students score equal marks in COMEDK UGET 2025 then authorities will opt for tie breaking formula. COMEDK UGET result tie breaking rule will be considered step by step as mentioned.

  1. Higher Percentile score of Physics and Mathematics marks taken together.
  2. Higher Percentile score in Mathematics.
