What is DCECE Exam?

Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE) is a state-level entrance test for admission to Polytechnic (Engg - PE) / Para Medical (Matric Level - PMM) / Para Medical (Intermediate level - PM) courses offered in the various state-run polytechnic institutes. The exam is held in offline mode and there are separate question papers for PE, PMM, and PM courses. It is held for 2 hours 15 mins and the total number of questions asked is 90. Candidates can apply for the DCECE exam in online mode from the official website of BCECEB. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) conducts the exam which is followed by an online counselling process based on DCECE marks.

 The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board will release the DCECE 2025 application form online at the official website. Applicants can fill DCECE application form at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. The application process of DCECE 2025 comprises registration, filling form, uploading documents and payment of fee.

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board mentions the DCECE 2025 exam centres on the official website. The exam centres of DCECE are spread across various districts in Bihar. The exact centre address is mentioned on the DCECE 2025 admit card. Candidates have to select their preferred test cities while filling out the application form for DCECE 2025. The candidates have to reach their DCECE exam centres two hours before the commencement of the exam  It is important for all the candidates to carry a DCECE admit card along with identity proof on the exam day.

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board mentions the DCECE 2025 exam pattern in the official notification. The exam pattern of DCECE varies for all 3 course groups - PE, PMM and PM. The exam pattern for each course group is given below:

Candidates have to download the DCECE 2025 admit card from the official website under tier respective logins. Only the candidates whose application forms are accepted are issued the admit card to appear for the exam. After downloading the admit card, candidates must read all details on the admit card and follow the instructions mention therein for the exam day.

Candidates must visit the address 5 days before the exam day from 11 am to 3 pm on any working day.

After the exam is over, BCECEB uploads the rank card of the DCECE exam for PE, PM and PMM course groups on the official website. Candidates can login to the official website and download the DCECE 2025 results for PE, PM, and PMM. Candidates have to use their DCECE 2025 roll number and date of birth to check the result.

DCECE result is not intimated to the candidates via mail or any offline mode. Candidates have to download the DCECE rank card on their own from the official website. There is no provision for re-evaluation of the result. The scores and ranks provided by BCECEB will be the final ones.

After the exam result is announced, BCECEB announces the DCECE counselling details on the official website, bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. The counselling is held online and offline. The allotment of seats is purely based on the DCECE 2025 rank and choices filled by the candidates. The counselling process includes registration, filling and locking of choice, document verification, declaration of seat allotment and reporting to the allotted college. BCECEB then releases the admission/ provisional seat allotment list for DCECE counselling 2025.

Appear for DCECE 2025: The candidates must appear for the Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE) exam. For those candidates who will not take the exam, their candidature will stand cancelled.
