The Union Public Service Commission will mention the UPSC IAS exam centre 2024 in the UPSC CSE admit card only. The candidates will be required to download their admit card from the official website - upsc.gov.in. The candidates will be required to carry their admit card and photo identity proof to establish their identity at the UPSC exam centre. The Commission conducted the UPSC IAS exam 2024 on June 16, 2024. The IAS 2024 exam (prelims) is expected to be conducted in 80 cities across the nation while the main exam is conducted in 26 to 28 cities only.

Earlier, the Union Public Service Commission dropped the Imphal exam centre for the UPSC IAS prelims exam 2024. The Commission referred the Delhi High Court order for the Manipur candidates. The candidates who opted for the Imphal exam centre for the UPSC IAS prelims exam 2024 were asked to change their exam centre. The last date to request such a change was April 19, 2024.Â

The Union Public Service Commission mention the number and names of the exam cities in the official notification. The IAS 2024 notificatin was released online on February 14, 2024. The Commission mention that the IAS 2024 prelims exam will be conducted in 80 cities across the nation.
The IAS prelims exam is conducted offline simultaneously across the nation. The candidates are required to opt for three exam centres in the IAS application and the Commission allots the exam centre on first apply first allot basis.

The IAS prelims exam is conducted offline in a pen and paper mode. The IAS prelims exam in conducted in two shifts on a single day. The candidates are required to appear in both the papers and clear both of them. The IAS prelims result is prepared based on the marks scored in the General Studies paper 1. The IAS prelims General Studies paper 2 is qualifying only.
The Union Public Service Commission will conduct the IAS 2024 exam on June 16, 2024. The Commission is expected to release the IAS 2024 admit card online in the last week of May 2024.

Note: The official website informs that the exam centres (for both preliminary and mains) will be allotted on a first-apply-first allot basis. Once the capacity of a particular UPSC IAS exam centre is attained, the same will be frozen and applicants will have to choose a centre from the remaining options.
