ICG AC Exam Centres 2025: Indian Coast Guard released exam city intimation slip for 01/2025 batch. Candidates need to login into their dashboard by entering email ID and password to check the exam cities. To check the exam city, candidates need to login with email ID and password. ICG exam centres are the cities where the computer-based exam of Stage I is conducted. Candidates can give preferences of five exam cities in the application form for the Stage-I process. Candidates are required to fill the first choice within 30 km from the present/ communication residence. 'Stage-I (CGCAT): SC/ST candidates, who are not employed by the Central /State Government will be reimbursed ordinary second class fare by train / Govt. bus /steamer charges on production of original tickets as per central government regulations by the shortest route, if the home station is beyond 30 kms from the place of examination (Stage-I). SC/ST candidates are to download the travel form from ICG website and submit the same to Indian Coast Guard.
Stage-II (PSB)/ Stage-III (FSB): To and fro travelling fares by AC III/Chair Car or actual normal bus fare by shortest route (only from the current or permanent address mentioned in E- admit card) to the candidates appearing first time in FSB (Stage-II) will be reimbursed on production of original tickets only. The SC/ST candidates will be reimbursed IInd class railway/bus fare for PSB and FSB irrespective of the number of appearances.

Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Exam Centres 2025: Important Points
Candidates can check below a few important points related to Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant exam centres:
- If candidates are not complying with the first choice of centre then their candidature may be cancelled if found contrary during document verification
- Examination city will be displayed in the candidate's login at least 10 days prior to the Stage-I exam
- The details regarding Indian Coast Guard exam centres will be mentioned on the admit card
- Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant admit card with exact details of exam centres will be released two to three days before the exam
- Examination city will be allocated to candidates as per preferences given in the application form
- In case of more number of candidates applying for one examination city, Coast Guard reserves the right to allocate to any other examination city which may or may not be on the candidate preference list
- Coast Guard reserves the right to cancel examination at one centre and shift the examination to another date and centre

Q: What is Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant selection process?
The selection of Assistant Commandant (GD) is based on an all India order of merit which is based on the performance of candidate in various stages (I – V) of examination (explained in detail below) and the number of vacancies available for the post. Clearing of Stage I, II, III, IV and V is compulsory for recruitment in ICG. All candidates will be compulsorily subjected to biometric, photo identification and document verification during various stages of examination. Various stages of CGCAT are as follows:

(2) Stage-II ( Preliminary Selection Board)
(3) Stage-III ( Final Selection Board)
(4) Stage-IV (Medical examination)
(5) Stage-V (Induction)
Q: What is document verification process in Assistant Commandant exam?
The candidates who have cleared PSB will undergo document verification. The original documents brought by candidates will be verified as per the documents uploaded by the candidates during registration for StageII. In case of any discrepancy, the candidature will be cancelled and a ‘Rejection Slip’ indicating the reasons for rejection will be handed over to the candidate.
Q: What is screening test of Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant?
Candidates applying for Assistant Commandant (GD) will appear for section I of computer based screening test, which will consists of 100 questions (4 marks for each correct answer). Stage I examination will be conducted on PAN India basis for a duration of two hours. Section I is divided into four subsections consist of English, Reasoning & Numerical Ability, General Science & Mathematical aptitude and General Knowledge.

Q: What is Indian Coast Guard Assistant marking scheme?
Indian Coast Guard Assistant marking scheme is given below:
- Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer
- One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer
- No marks for unattempted questions
Q: What is the preliminary selection board process in ICG Assistant Commandant?
Based on the performance in the Stage-I, candidates will be shortlisted for appearing in Stage-II (PSB)which will be conducted for a day at Noida, Mumbai/Goa, Chennai and Kolkata centres. Candidates to give the choice of PSB centre at the time of filling of application form. Candidates will be screened through Computerised Cognitive Battery Test (CCBT) and Picture Perception & Discussion (PP&DT). The CCBT will be in English only and will be of objective type. During PP&DT the candidates are expected to speak and discuss in English. However, they are free to speak in Hindi if they wish to do so. The Stage-II examination is only of qualifying nature i.e. either Pass or Fail.
Q: What is the candidate verification in Assistant Commandant exam?
Candidates reporting for Stage-II will first undergo photo and biometric verification. The photo captured & biometric recorded during Stage-II is to be verified with the captured photo & biometric recorded during the Stage-I. If the biometric (thumb impression) of a candidate at Stage-II does not match with the biometric captured at Stage-I, the document verification team is empowered to establish the identity/ genuineness of the candidate by approved procedures by Competent Authority and recapture the Biometric of the candidate for verification in the subsequent stages. However if the document verification team is not convinced with the genuineness of the candidate after manual verification process as mentioned above, then the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled.
Q: What is Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Eligibility?
The age of candidates should be between 21 to 25 years. Candidates must hold a degree of recognised university with minimum 60 per cent aggregate marks for General/OBC/EWS candidates and 55 per cent aggregate for SC/ST candidates. Mathematics and Physics as subject up to Intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55 per cent aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics. The candidates who have completed graduation after diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55 per cent marks in Diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.

To apply for Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant exam, the age of candidates should be between 21 and 25 years. Relaxation in the age limit will be given to candidates belonging to reserved categories. 5 years relaxation will be given to SC/ST and 3 years to OBC. 5 years age relaxation will be given to personnel serving in Coast Guard or equivalent personnel in Army or Navy or Air Force.
