INET exam for Officer entry is a computer based written exam. The exam comprises four sections-English, Reasoning & Numerical Ability, General Knowledge, General Science & Mathematical Aptitude. The duration of the test is two hours and carries 100 multiple choice questions. The total marks allotted for the exam are 400. Candidates are required to pass in all four sections separately with minimum 40 per cent. There is a negative marking of one mark for incorrect answer. INET Exam Pattern 2022: Online Exam

INET exam comprises 100 multiple-choice objective type questions from English, Reasoning & Numerical Ability, General Science, Mathematical Aptitude & General Knowledge. Each section will be of 100 marks. The structure of INET exam pattern is given below.

INET Marking Scheme

The marking scheme of INET exam is given below:

  • For the correct answer, four marks are given
  • For the incorrect answers, one mark are deducted.
  • Total marks are calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers
  • Candidates are required to obtain over all 50 per cent marks in the examination and have to score minimum 40 per cent marks in each section.

INET Exam Pattern 2022: SSB Interview

IHQ of MoD (N) reserves the right to shortlist candidates strictly on the basis of INET rank cum preference & choice. However, candidates are required to qualify in all sections of INET exam to be considered for SSB interview. In SSB interview, candidates are assesed for various officer like qualities. The qualities include planning & organising ability, social adaptability, social effectiveness and dynamic ability. The SSB is conducted in two stages as given below:

Stage I: Intelligence Test, Picture Perception and Discussion test
Stage II: Psychological testing, Group testing and interview

Successful candidates are thereafter required to undergo medical examination for a duration of three to five days.
