KSET Exam Dates 2024 (Out): Check KSET Paper I & II Exam Schedule Here

The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) provisional result was released on the official website. Candidates can check their KSET provisional result by following the steps given below:

• The KSET Provisional result will appear on the screen

The Karnataka Exam Authority (KEA) is responsible for releasing the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) application form. The KSET application form was released on July 30, 2024. The candidates will be able to apply for the KSET exam through the official website. No offline mode application form will be accepted by the KEA for the KSET exam. However, the candidates have to submit the KSET application form hard copy on the exam day along with the attendance sheet.

The KSET 2024 exam was conducted on November 24, 2024. The KSET 2024 application form was released on July 30, 2024. The authority released the KSET 2024 notification. The last date to apply for the KSET 2024 was August 28, 2024. Candidates need to submit their KSET applications online. To fill out the form, General, Cat-IIA, IIB, IIIA, and IIIB category & other state candidates need to pay the application fee of INR 1000, and Cat-I, SC, ST, and PWD & transgender candidates are required to pay INR 700. 

Yes, the Karnataka Exam Authority (KEA) releases the KSET cut off in PDF format which comprises subject and category-wise for the candidates who have taken the KSET exam. The candidates securing more than equal to cut off marks in their category will be considered qualified for the assistant professorship and PhD.

The KSET exam is taken for the candidates who are interested in PhD research and teaching as Assistant professor in colleges and univeristies of India. However, there are other career opportunities other than being Assisatnt Professor or a Research Scholar. The candidates who qualified for the KSET exam can apploy for the PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) such as Indian Oil Corporlation limited (IOCL), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), Oil and Natural Gas Corportaion (ONGC), etc. 

The candidates who do not want to join any PSU can take up other options like online tutor, open their own coaching centres, guest faculty, consultant, Lab Trainer, IP lead, Author, Editor, Transmission Executive, Program Executive, etc.

Yes, it is mandatory for candidates to appear for both KSET Paper 1 and 2 to qualify for the KSET exam. The candidates have to qualify for both papers separately. Candidates who will qualify for one paper will not be considered as qualified for the KSET exam. Paper 1 consists 50 questions for 100 marks. Paper 2 consists 100 questions for 200 marks. The candidates are advised to study paper 1 as paper 2 or they will not qualify for the KSET exam.
