The UGC NET Commerce Exam Analysis Shift 1

The NTA conducted the UGC NET Commerce exam on December 7, 2023. The UGC NET Commerce Paper 1 was moderate as compared to the previous year's exam. Look at the reviews by the candidates who took the exam below:

• Preeti Said," Paper 1 was easy and doable in nature, however, the questions from the maths section were difficult. The questions were asked from time, distance, and speed, DI. On the other hand, Paper 2  was moderate. Previous year's questions were also present in the paper."
• Rahul Said," Paper 2 was a bit difficult as the economics and stats-based questions were dominant in the paper. 2 to 3 numerical were asked in paper 2, whereas, paper 1 was easy in nature."
• Shivani Said, " The questions were asked from Capital Market, Money Mix, Cash Cows, Capital Market, and more. Other than this, paper 1 was easy, the questions were asked from ICT, teaching, and research aptitude."

The UGC NET exam for shift 1 got over at 12:00 pm for English. Shiksha visited one of the exam centres in Delhi and took the review of students who had taken the exam. According to their reviews, the difficulty level of Paper 1 was moderate. On the other hand, paper 2 was easy in comparison to the previous cycle. The cultural studies was dominant in Paper 2 whereas the  6 to 7 timeline questions were asked related to authors, books, birth year, etc. The difficulty level of cultural studies was above average as compared to the previous year.

• Ruchi said, "Paper 1 was easy, and the questions from logical reasoning were dominant in the paper. Paper 2 was moderate, the timeline,  books & author name questions were asked in Paper 2."
• Shilpa said," The overall exam was moderate. Paper 1 comprised questions from logical reasoning and data interpretation. Paper 2 comprised the question from Indian & British literature. The UGC NET Mass Communication was conducted by the National Testing Agency on June 21, 2023. The difficulty level of the UGC NET Paper 2 exam was moderately difficult in nature. The history and dates-based questions were dominant in the paper. Films and Television, Public Relations, and Communication were on the easy side. Paper 1 was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. The maths and research aptitude were tougher side as compared to the previous cycle exam. The UGC NET 2023 Economics was moderately difficult in nature in comparison to the previous session exam. The question was asked from topics like Maxima and Minimal Diagrams, Utility Function, FERA, FEMA, Chronology, Identify Equation Model, Matching Functions, Curve, Assumption of the Adam Smith Model, Central Government Budget Allocation, and more. The 10 to 15 questions were asked from the quant section. On the other hand, the Paper 1 exam was moderate in nature. The Phase 2 exam began on June 19, 2023, and the first shift of the UGC NET Phase 2 exam got over at 12:00 pm (today). The difficulty level of the UGC NET Paper for the first shift was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. The Research Aptitude and teaching aptitude were moderately difficult otherwise the Maths, Comprehension, Unseen Passage, etc were on the moderate side. UGC NET Exam Analysis 2023: Education  

The UGC NET Education for the June session exam got over on June 19, 2023 (12:00 pm), the exam was moderate in comparison to the UGC NET December Cycle 2022. The questions were asked from topics like National Commission on Teachers (1999), National Curriculum Framework 2005, National Knowledge Commission (2007), Yashpal Committee Report (2009), and National Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education (2009). UGC NET Political Science exam was conducted on June 15, 2023, in two shifts. The difficulty level of the UGC NET Political Science exam was moderate. The questions were asked from the Keshwanand Bharti case, Political Theories of  International Relations and IFP, pardoning power of governor, DPSP Chronology, Maslow Need Hierarchy Theory, Book and Writers 4-5 questions, John Rawls concept name, Passage on Buddha, Passage on Globalization, etc. The good attempts for the paper have been given below for the candidates:

The difficulty level of the UGC NET Commerce paper was moderate to difficult for the UGC NET Commerce exam. 60 to 65 questions were asked in Paper 2  which falls under the moderate to hard difficulty level. The questions were asked from the topics: Marketing – Profounder of Marketing theories, Logistic mgt, Elasticity of demand, Financial mgt, Return on Captial, Employee, Substitution & income effect, Monoplay. On the other hand, 35 questions were of easy to moderate level.

UGC NET Phase 1 Exam Analysis: Commerce (Shift 2)

The difficulty level for the UGC NET Commerce exam in the second shift was moderate to difficult as compared to the December 2022 session. The questions were asked from MRP, Economics, Transaction Exposure, etc. According to the difficulty level of the UGC NET commerce paper, the good attempts are between 82 to 87 questions. Paper 1 was easy to moderate in nature.

The UGC NET Education paper exam got over at 12:00 pm for the first shift. The overall difficulty of the exam was moderate in nature. According to the reaction of the candidates after the exam, the question paper comprised questions from Stats, Curriculum, Swayam Prabha, and Research Aptitude (3 to 4 questions). The Teacher Education section was dominant in paper 2. The passage was from Pedagogy.

UGC NET Phase 4 exam for Sociology got over at 12:00 pm for Shift 1. The overall difficulty level for the UGC NET Sociology Paper 2 was moderate in nature. The paper comprised questions from Robin Cohen Diaspora, TK Omen Communalism, Political Processes in India, etc. On the other hand, Paper 1 was easy to moderate in nature. The Maths section was a bit difficult in comparison to the other sections. The data interpretation part was lengthy and time taking, whereas the number series, simple interest, and percentage were easy in nature.

UGC NET Phase 3 exam for Political Science got over at 12:00 pm for Shift 1. The overall difficulty level for the UGC NET Political Science paper 2 was easy to moderate in nature. The Paper comprised questions from Indian Political Thought, Chipko Movement, International Relations (1945), Comparative Public Administrations, Acceptance Theory, Public Policy (Paragraph), Current Affairs (Military Exercise), Indian Foreign Policy, Containment Theory (Who Coined), Kautilya Theory (Suptang), etc. Paper 1 was easy to moderate in nature.

UGC NET Phase 3 exam for the Mass Communication paper for Shift 1 got over at 12:00 pm. The overall difficulty level was moderate in nature. The chronological questions were dominant in the paper. This year, more factual questions were asked rather than theory-based questions. UGC NET Mass Communication Paper 2 was also moderate in nature. Paper 2 comprised questions from all the sections with equal weightage. The maths section was a little bit difficult and time taking nature. Reasoning,  communication, and logic were easy to moderate in nature. 

The student's reaction taken after the UGC NET Mass Communication shift 1 exam at 12:00 pm has been shared below for the candidates:

• Anandita said, "The paper was a bit more difficult than the previous year. The questions were deep in nature. The Paper 1 was easy to moderate in nature. However, the maths section was tricky and time taking”. 
• Raj Saini said, "Paper 1 was difficult in nature. The maths section was difficult.  Paper 2 was easy compared to the previous year. So it is possible that the cut-off for the UGC NET December Cycle will be higher than the previous year". Talking about the center, he said," The arrangements and security were good".
• Neel Darshan said, " The difficulty level for Paper 2 was easy to moderate in nature. The statement-based questions were asked in the Aptitude section. About 50 questions in the Paper 2 were moderate in nature whereas 20 questions were difficult in nature and 20 questions were easy in nature".

Based on the student’s reactions UGC NET Geography Paper 2 exam comprised questions from Cartography, Geomorphology, Climatology, Oceanography, Statics, Transport Geography, Political Geography, Agricultural Geography, etc. Paper 1 comprised questions from ICT, Maths, Reasoning, Assertion, Logic, etc. The Data Interpretation section was tricky and time taking in nature. The difficulty level of reasoning was easy to moderate in nature on the other hand the question from ICT were difficult in nature. The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate in nature. 

The student's reaction taken after the UGC NET Geography shift 1 exam at 12:00 pm has been shared below for the candidates:

• Srikant said, "The question was asked about Indian forest, environment, ecosystem, etc. The Paper 2 difficulty level was moderate in nature. Paper 1 was easy to moderate in nature".
• Anshu said," The conceptual based question was asked in paper 1. Mean, Mode, and Median questions were asked in Paper 1. Theory-based questions were dominant in nature. Paper 2 was easy to moderate in nature".
• Deepak said," The assertion-based question, matches the following, and the chronological questions were asked in paper 2. Paper 2 was moderate in nature".
