UGC NET Exam Centres 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NTA UGC NET 2024 December session exam in more than 200 centres pan India. The list of the UGC NET centre is released by the NTA along with the application form. Candidates filling out the application are advised to choose the exam centres very cautiously as it can't be changed after submitting the application form. However, the centre list doesn't have the exact address for security reasons. The complete address of the exam centre was released along with the release of the UGC NET admit card.
The official website informs, "The efforts will be made to allot city of examination to the candidates in order of the choice opted by them in their application form. The NTA will release the city intimation slip for the UGC NET 2024 Dec exam on the official website-ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Check the steps to check the exam city through the UGC NET city intimation slip:

Click on the "Advance City Intimation Slip" link
Enter your application number and date of birth
Click on the "Submit" button
Advance city intimation slip will be displayed on the screen
Download and print the slip for future reference
- The advance city intimation slip will contain the following information:

- Candidate's application number
- Date of birth
- Exam city
Note: It is important to note that the advance city intimation slip is not UGC NET admit card. The UGC NET admit card will be released closer to the exam date.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the advance city intimation slip before the release of the UGC NET admit card on the offcial websit. As the UGC NET exam is carried out pan India and sometimes the UGC NET centre is allotted far away from the candidate's residential address. Therefore by releasing the UGC NET city slip, the NTA gives chance to make necessary arrangements like travelling, accomodation etc.
On the other hand, the UGC NET admit card is a hall ticket for the candidates who are going to appear in the UGC NET exam. The admit card comprises the exam cente address, shift timing. The admit card is released a few days before the exam day. The candidates are not allowed to the exam hall if they don't have the UGC NET admit card whereas the city slip is not required for the UGC NET exam.

UGC NET City Allotment 2024
The UGC NET city allotment 2024 is done by the NTA for the UGC NET exam. The NTA UGC NET exam city is allocated to the candidates from the preferred cities chosen by the candidates while filling out the application for UGC NET exam. The candidates are advised to choose the centres carefully as they cannot be changed after the submission of the UGC NET application form.

The National Testing Agency released the UGC NET June re-exam City Slip for all exams that will be held from August 21 to September 4, 2024. UGC NET intimation slip mentions the date of examination, shift, subject/test papers and medium chosen by the candidate while filling the application form. It is an advanced information about the allotment of city. Based on the city allotted, candidates will have to make the necessary arrangement for travel, accommodation, etc.

The UGC NET exam is taken for the candidates who are interested in PhD research and teaching as Assistant professor in colleges and univeristies of India. However, there are other career opportunities other than being Assisatnt Professor or a Research Scholar. The candidates who qualified for the UGC NET exam can apploy for the PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) such as Indian Oil Corporlation limited (IOCL), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), Oil and Natural Gas Corportaion (ONGC), etc.
The candidates who do not want to join any PSU can take up other options like online tutor, open their own coaching centres, guest faculty, consultant, Lab Trainer, IP lead, Author, Editor, Transmission Executive, Program Executive, etc.

Q: Â Can we change the subject code in the correction window as I have chosen wrong subject?
The National Testing Agency (NTA) opens the correction window for the candidates after the closure of the UGC NET application form. The candidates can correct the mistakes that they have done while filling out the UGC NET application form. On the specific date released by the NTA, candidates can make corrections to their application form through the candidates' login. To log into the registered account the candidates have to use their application number and date of birth. After the login, the candidates can correct their mistakes.
However, the NTA does not allow some changes to the application form that are given below:
- No change allowed in the mobile number, email address, permanent address & correspondence address
- No change allowed in candidate’s name, date of birth and gender
- No change is allowed in the photo
- Change is allowed either in the father’s name or mother’s name (any one only)
The candidates' who do not verify their Adhaar Card can make corrections to the candidate's name, date of birth, and gender.
