UGC NET Date 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the admit card on the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. UGC NET Exam Admit Card Date 2024

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the UGC NET admit card for the December session on the official website.nta.nic.in/ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The UGC NET 2024 exam was cancelled due to compromise in the integrity of the exam. The information of the compromise was provided by the National Cyber Crime Threat Analytics Unit of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs on the Examination. the investigation of the UGC NET exam compromise has been handed over to the Crime  Bureau of Investigation (C.B.I). UGC NET 2023 exam for the June cycle was carried out between June 13 to 22, 2023. The exam was conducted online CBT mode and comprises two papers-1 and 2. The duration of the test was three hours. Paper 1 carried 50 questions and Paper 2 carried 100 questions. There were no negative marking for wrong answers. The language of the question paper was English and Hindi. The UGC NET December exam 2024 will also be conducted in two shifts like June session exam. UGC NET June Shift 1 started from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm whereas the shift 2 exam started from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Q:   Is there any dress code for UGC NET exam?

There is no recommended dress code by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and Univeristy Grants Commission (UGC) in order to appear for the UGC NET. However, the candidates takig the exam are advised to do the following thing before appearing for the exam:

  • Attire: Candidates should not wear shoes or footwear with thick soles. Also, candidates must not wear clothes with large buttons to the test centre.  
  • Personal belongings: Candidates should not carry any personal belongings such as mobile phones, purses or electronic devices such as calculators inside the test centre. Exam authority will not be responsible for the safe keep of the personal belongings of candidates.

Q:   What are the exam day guideline for UGC NET?

A:

The candidates who are going to appear for the UGC NET 2024 exam must check the exam day guidelines:

  • Candidates must reach the test centre as per the reporting time mentioned on the admit card;
  • Candidates should read the instructions on the admit card carefully and follow them during the exam.
  • No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall without the admit card and photo ID proof.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre after 9.00 am in the first shift and after 2.30 pm in the second shift.
  • Candidates should report at the exam room at the centres by 9.15 am in the first shift and by 2.45 pm in the second shift.
  • Candidates must not leave the UGC NET exam hall before the paper ends.
  • On completion of the paper, candidates must wait for the instructions from the invigilator and must not right away get up from their seat to leave the exam hall.
  • Candidates wearing special attire such as burqa, hijab, turban, etc. must reach the exam centre early for thorough checking.
  • Candidates should sit on the seat indicating their roll numbers only. The candidature will stand cancelled if candidates change their room or seat on their own.
  • Candidates must ensure that the UGC NET question paper 2023 available on the computer is as per their opted subject. In case otherwise, candidates must bring the same to the notice of the invigilator.
  • Calculations and rough work are to be done only in the rough sheet provided at the centres.
  • No candidate should involve in any unfair practices during the exam.
