The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission will release the UPPSC PCS 2025 application form on its official website - uppsc.up.nic.in. The UPPSC will soon release the UPPSC exam calendar 2025 on its official website. The Commission will provide one month (30 days) to fill out the UPPSC 2025 online applications. To fill out the application form, the candidates will be required to read the official UPPSC 2025 notification to get all the details.

The UPPSC 2024 applications were closed on February 2, 2024. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission released the UPPSC 2024 notification on January 2, 2024. The last date for the application fee submission was January 29, 2024. The Commission also provided the facility for UPPSC 2024 application correction. The last date to make corrections in the UPPCS 2024 application was February 9, 2024. The UPPSC 2024 online applications were filled online only. 

Q:   How can I apply for UPPCS Exam 2024?

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission released the UPPSC 2024 applications on January 1, 2024. The candidates are required to apply online on uppsc.up.nic.in. The last date to apply for the UPPSC 2024 exam is February 2, 2024. The candidates should note that the last date to submit the application fee is January 29, 2024. The Commission is expected to conduct the UPPSC 2024 prelims exam in March 2024.

The Commission will also provide the UPPSC 2024 application correction facility till Feburary 9, 2024. The candidates are required to read the official notification to get all the details for the UPPSC 2024 application.

Q:   How many attempts are there in UPPCS Exam?

A:
The candidates need not to worry about the number of attempts in the UPPSC PCS exam because there is no limit to the number of attempts in the exam. The candidates can appear in the UPPSC PCS exam till they confirm to the age limit criteria as prescribed in the official notification. The upper age limit is the only restriction for applying. The upper age limit for the General Category candidates is 40 years. The Commission also provide age relaxation to the reserved category candidates.

Q:   What is the last date to apply for UPPSC 2024 exam?

A:

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission released the UPPSC 2024 applications on January 1, 2024. The Commission is providing on month to fill out the UPPSC 2024 applications online on its official website - uppsc.up.nic.in. The candidates should note that the last date to apply for the UPPSC 2024 exam is Februrary 2, 2024.

The last date to submit the UPPSC 2024 application fee is January 29, 2024. The candidates will be allowed to make certain changes in their UPPSC 2024 applications from February 3 to 9, 2024.

UPPSC PCS 2024 Form

The candidates are required One-Time Registration(OTR) number to fill out the UPPSC 2024 applicationThe Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) already started the One-Time Registration (OTR) process for the candidates. The candidates can register once and can apply for any number of exams where they fulfil the eligibility. The Commission will provide one month to fill out the UPPCS applications. 

The Commission has started a one-time registration facility for the candidates. This facility will help the candidates to register on the website for one time and apply for multiple exams with single registration number.

How to Fill UPPSC PCS Form 2024?

The candidates could fill the UPPSC PCS 2024 form online in the manner given below:

  • Go to the official website of UPPSC - uppsc.up.nic.in
  • Click on the ‘Apply Online’ link given under the Recruitment Tab 
  • A new Window will appear, mentioning the list of active applications
  • Click on the ‘Apply’ link given corresponding to ‘Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination’
  • A new extension to the existing window will appear mentioning the details of the UPPCS 2024 exam with Authenticate with OTR Button.
  • The candidates having OTR can authenticate with it and apply for the exam.
  • OTR is the ‘One Time Registration’ number required to apply for any UPPSC exam.

Size and Dimension of the Photo and Signature for UPPSC Application

The candidates will be required to upload their photograph of a size Width = 3.5 cm and Height= 4.5 cm on the white blank paper. Also, just below the photograph, the candidate needs to sign on the paper. The height of the signature should not be over 1.5 cm. The scanned image of this page was required to be uploaded. The Size of this scanned image should not be over 20 Kb
Scan the image in JPG or JPEG format only to upload it with the application.

Q:   Who is eligible for UPPSC and UPPCS exam?

A:
UPPCS is the premiere exam of the State and the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission conduct this exam every year. Any Graduate from a recognised university or institution can apply for the UPPSC PCS exam. The candidates need to check the UPPSC eligibility conditions as mentioned in the official notification. The candidates need to check the educational qualification, age limit and the special eligibility conditions mentioned for the specific posts. The upper age limit for the UPPCS exam is 40 years for the General Category candidate.

Q:   Is OTR mandatory for UPPSC 2024 application?

Yes, the candidates are required to log in with One-Time Registration (OTR) number to fill out the UPPSC PCS 2024 application. The Commission started the OTR last year for the candidates to reduce the application filling time. The OTR serve as the master record number of the candidate having all the information and application history of the candidate. 

The candidates can register at uppsc.up.nic.in anytime to obtain the OTR irrespective to the advertisement dates.

Q:   Can I get the exam centre of my choice in the UPPSC prelims exam 2024?

A:

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission allot the UPPCS prelims exam centres based on the first apply first allot basis. In most cases, the applicant get the UPPSC exam centre of their choice. The Commission conduct the exam in 51 districts across the state but there are 76 disctricts in the state. Hence some candidates face the problem of travelling to the nearest exam centre from their place of residence.

For the main exam, there are only three cities where the exam is conducted. The UPPSC main exam is conducted in three districts namely - Prayagraj, Lucknow and Ghaziabad.

Declaration Segment: At the bottom of the page there was a ‘Declaration’ for the candidates. Candidates are advised to go through the contents of the Declaration carefully. After filling all the above particulars, there was a provision to preview the application detail before final submission. The preview page will display all facts/particulars that you have mentioned on entry time if you are sure with filled details then click on the “Submit” button to finally push data into the server with a successful submission report that you can print.

It is mandatory to read and agree to the declaration given in the UPPSC PCS 2024 Application form.

UPPSC PCS 2024 Application Fee

The candidates should submit the application fee with the UPPSC PCS form as prescribed in the official notification. The Commission prescribes the following fee structure for the UPPSC exam:

Q:   When will the UPPSC PCS prelims 2024 exam be conducted?

A:

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission will conduct the UPPSC PCS Prelims exam 2024 on December 22, 2024. The Prelims exam was postponed multiple times earlier. The UPPSC PCS prelims 2024 result is expected to be released in January/February 2025.

Following its calendar, the Commission released the UPPSC PCS 2024 notification on January 1, 2024. As per the official exam calendar, the Commission was expected to conduct the UPPSC Prelims 2024 exam on March 17, 2024 but it was postponed.

Q:   Is the number of vacancies for SDM remain constant every year in UPPSC PCS exam?

A:

UPPSC PCS 2023 exam is conducted every year to recruit candidates for various UPPCS posts. The Commission received the post requisition from the concerned departments and included it in the vacancy list for the exam. The Commission receive a number of SDM posts every year and this number varies every year. There are no fixed vacancies for any of the posts.

In recent years, the number of vacancies has been declining.

Q:   How many exam centres are there for UPPCS main exam?

A:

There are three exam centres for UPPSC main exam. The Commission conduct the UPPSC Main exam in three cities only. These cities are Prayagraj, Lucknow and Ghaziabad. The Ghaziabad is added lately after the demand of the candidates. The UPPSC main exam is a descriptive type exam conducted offline.

The UPPSC Prelims exam is conducted in 51 districts across the state.

How to Select Post in the UPPSC PCS Application?

Along with the UPPSC 2024 application, the candidates must fill in their choice of post based on their eligibility for the position. The candidates are shown all the post included in the UPPSC 2024 Exam and they need to choose from the list based on their educational background. The above list is exhaustive and there may be a case that some of the positions are not notified under the exam due to no vacant positions in the service.

Q:   What qualification is required to become a UPPCS officer?

A:
The qualification required to become a PCS officer is a Graduate degree from any recognised university or institution. The Commission releases the notification every year and mentions that the educational qualification required to become a PCS officer is a graduate. There is no minimum percentage mentioned for the candidates. It implies that the candidates having any percentage in the Graduation degree can apply for the UPPCS exam. All the candidates who are Graduate and confirm to the age criteria can apply for the UPPSC PCS exam.

The candidates should understand that the number of UPPSC vacancies affect the UPPSC cutoff in a negative way. The increase in number of vacancies can reduce the UPPSC cutoff.
